6/28-7/4 W9 F6 Hello Friends, We have had several thunderstorms this week due to the heat. We are under a heat advisory with temperatures reaching 100 with a heat index to 110 the rest of the week. I defoliated a few yellow fan leaves. I top dressed with azomite and rose and flower fertilizer and watered well. Trichome formation is well underway but only a few pistils are turning brown. I took some microscope pics to see her progress. She remains mostly clear and some milky. So far, no pests (using mesh bag) and no mold issues. Wedding Cake has reached her max height at 29 inches tall. Next week the weather looks the same. Hot and humid. That’s all for this week. Stay green, growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫

1 Leaf is obviously 1 tough customer....but is he tough enough? Can he hang with the present level of toughness he possesses? Watch and find out! (apparently my plant thinks it's a dude) Defoliated pretty heavily toward the end of the week. partly to try to stunt growth a bit but also promote more growth once it kicks in. Got a log jam going in my flower tent and not sure what to do. May just designate 3 mothers then cram 3 in to flower in a few weeks when its opened up. This is what happens when you feel like you cant throw away anything that might be clone-able. I've gotten past it thankfully and learned a lesson in how to time things next time.

Mar 6th - last-light tonight for Panama x Malawi. what was the old news flash...? “pictures at 11” - then a minimum 36 hrs in the dark. RH 35-40% A wet-trim b4 hanging is planned. See where that gets us... - pictures taken and lites out by 21:00. -Harvest starts Monday Afternoon - still working from phone pics, more later Mar 8 -Tent gets opened at Noon after ~ 40 hrs of dark. Then it’s pictures and a trim as Harvest happens today.. - a video has been added to the pictures, doing a last lap around the tent before they were harvested Mar 10th -off the clothesline, trimmed & weighed and now into a tent for temp & humidity control. - 4-5 days of 19c @ 50-55% Rh is the target Mar 13th both batches were weighed and contained. Left plant was both Larger and contained more Pot that the Right plant, which has historically been smaller from the start Left plant contained 5.6 ounces. The Right plant, which also had the UV-B bulb, and was smaller, contained 4.6 ounces. ... poking at details and photos as you read this

Day 34: Watered with first dose of flowering nutrients (1ml B, 1ml SR). ***I’m gonna break character here for a few mins. If that messes with anyone’s head because you are so deep into the storyline, then you can just pretend this is the director talking. I really wasn’t liking the look of the plant. There was loads of leaves with big very long stems. If it was earlier in the summer I would just put it outside and start another one inside. I don’t have that luxury so I’ll just have to see how it goes. I done some serious defoliation, removing more than 20 leaves. I’m not holding out much hope for a big yield. Day 37: Watered with just PH’d water. Day 39: Watered with Nutrients (1ml B, 1ml SR) ***Character break again. I saw the plant today for the first time in six days. More leaves are after growing big long stems. The few flowers on this plant are topping away nicely. It looks like 3 good bud sites maybe and 2 smaller ones. I have a Rhino Ryder in a 4ltr pot growing next to this Skywalker which looks like it will produce a bigger yield. Either way we have to just see what happens. I’ll hand you back to Luke now for the rest of the grow. Day 40: Continued to use the Force to make the plant grow. This place is really starting to remind me of my time training with Master Yoda on Dagobah. Removed a few leaves with long stems.

Starting week 3 today, with a challenge ahead with this little bad girl! It seems to be a lack of Nitrogen, and I'm pretty afraid of burning the plant. I'm feeding the plant once each two days, with Seaweed Tonic, 150ml with the suggested dilution from the bottle. Now I have also a bottle of Canna Terra Vega, with NPKS 3-0-3-0. Is it a good idea to start feeding the plant, with also this nutrient? The soil is a mixture of 80% organic soil + 20% of coco coir. Could be a lack of nutrients from the soil? What is the best agenda to follow with nutrients? (: Cheers!! UPDATE (17/02 - Day 17): based on the suggestions made by many members, I've tried to gather the best of all and decided to make some moves in an effort to save this plant, and to avoid the same situation to the other 2 plants: #1 - Lifted the LED panel to double of the height, so the distance to the plants went from 50cm to 100cm #2 - This change with the distance from LED panel helped to low down the highest temperature achieved during the day from 27.5°C to 24°C #3 - Since day 15, the plants haven't been watered, in a move to try to dry a little bit the soil, once I was watering every day with something close to 250ml a day. Now I'll return with water in a few days, while I wait for some signals from the plants that they are needing water #4 - Pushed forward the idea to start feeding them this week, and maybe I give just a little bit of seaweed solution to root development when I come back with watering. Hope it works fine!

Thank you for checking out week 3 of my Stracciatella DWC grow! Quite a bit of growth this week, despite me running into quite a few problems this week, we had a heat wave and I was not prepared, causing some heat stress. I topped the plant at the 5th node and added some LST anchors, I will be topping her a few more times whilst low stress training . I'm still going with the same strategy of adding organics during the weekend, but I'm still not sure about it, especially not with the heat, Power roots does discolour my roots and causes some black gunk to accumulate at the top, I don't like that. speaking of discolouring, Biobizz CalMag makes my water super cloudy, which I hope is normal. I'll be moving my tent to a better climate soon, I do believe the heat further stunted my plant, She's still doing well however and it should be smooth sailing going forward, Unless nature throws something else my way. So far, so good. The buds are really bulking up. Struggling with knowing when to harvest. I still have white hairs but many have turned. This could be because I had some watering issues and might have introduced some stress causing them to mature early. The Trichomes seem to be all cloudy and I have some that are amber. The agony of a first grow.

The plants seem pretty strong and resilient, have a interesting smell. The buds are very different from a plant to another in shape and trycome production. I had to cut them early because of the high heat, but the majority of the trycomes were milky.

Week 4

7/19: Started new nutrients today. Filled gallon jug with new nutes. Poured half of new nute mix in half gallon jug. Poured the entire half gallon jug into reservoir. 7/20: Bumped light intensity to 50% 7/21: Filled reservoir to the 2nd line today. Added a total of 1 gallon to res to get it to that line. Poured the rest of the mixed nutes for this week (half gallon) and then another half gallon of just plain water. 7/24: Bumped light intensity to 55% 7/25: Sadness today 😞.. While in the process of doing more LST today I accidentally snapped the main stem. I Panicked! Moved plant back in opposite direction to counteract the split. Will be monitoring very closely! 🙏🏾 ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.

Day 14. Beautiful trileaf plant. Not quite ready for LST. Maybe tomorrow. Day 15. Bent over nicely for me. This plant is gonna be a beast.

Oh, I am nervous. Its my first time in a long time...…. hopefully this doesn't end as bad as the first time these feelings came up. Very quick and very disappointing.😅 11/26- At around 7:30pm these autos got put into Ice Mountain Spring Water temped to 68 degrees. After just 3 hrs 2 have already sunk to the bottom. 11/27- Its been 12 hrs and all but 1 of the Cinderella Jack have dropped. 11/27- The last straggler sunk after 18 hours. At around noon, I transferred the seeds into paper towels. Then put the paper towel into small baggies. 11/29- Seeds have been germinating in paper towels for around 30 hrs. They are starting to show taproots. The Fastbuds are just that FAST. They were showing taproots in under 12 hrs. One was over a half inch. 11/29- At around 6pm, I transferred these little ladies into a cup and a half of some naked Happy Frog and placed in the germination dome. 11/30- At 2:30am these gals got their first dose of light. Since I'm a born again grow-virgin and have never messed with autoflowers. I'm going to just keep the traditional 18/6 lighting schedule. 11/30- With less than 6 hours of light I already have 2 sprouted around 1 inch. The Fastbuds green crack seeds seem to be outperforming the others. The Dutch Passion seeds are performing too but the Fastbuds are impressive. Note: These seeds are germinating under a 7.83hrz frequency. It is coming from a small 4" subwoofer connected to 2 small speakers hung in the top corner of my tent. I plan to continue though to harvest. My thinking that if our goal is to mimic the conditions outdoors why not amplify everything we can. 7.83hrz is the natural frequency omitted by the earth and can be nothing but beneficial. To my research it should help the plant develop on a molecular level.

Plant suffered of poor quality water, problems of transpiration and nutrients absorption due to pH unbalanced values, low humidity level, both light and ventilation intensity excess. Humidity is under control: stabilised between 45% and 50% continuously. pH has been fixed to 6.0 in all H2O solutions. Exhaust fan has been equipped of a rotative knob control in order to settle power: once desired humidity level is overpassed ventilation can be returned to max speed in order to maintain 24,5 Celsius degrees. Possible combination of over feeding, overwatering and excess of light, responding to stress to be identified, on the basis of following visible symptoms : - leaves have turned thick, fat, dark deep green; - leaves start curling; - leaves hint a deep yellow hue; - new leaves are born with light green and yellow tips; - leaves report burnings such as fresh black spots which turn into dry brown spots; - 1 leaf at the third node is born with 4 tips, the second one is a 5 tips leaf correctly. Additional considerations to be uploaded asap regarding : - Biochar pH 8,5; - Biochar nutrients absorption and retention capacity in relation with organic growing; - Biochar and Coco Coir micro and macro nutrients binding capacity; - moon effect during plant life cycle; - huge vitality has been noticed during crescent moon appearance; - plant is asking for more and more feeding; - growing will be abandoned for no more than 96 hours therefore a self irrigating cotton rope wick system has been implemented. well, another week goes by and it's growing not like I expected hehehe but that's ok, living and learning, and for now I'll just wait for this cycle to end to start a new one and post it here and I'll tell you right away that I ordered a kit advanced nutrients starter and will test it on the new cycle. =D

Taking a long time to see Amber on this one. Gonna cut down a branch and see how it smokes. Smell is nice, but not too strong. Think it may be done. We shall see.
