Second week of flower and I defoliated again. There are small bud sites starting to form at the end of week two flower. The apple fritter has fascination which is making the stems grow interestingly with lots of bud sites.

Week 4 – Things Are Looking Good Starting off Week 4 with a little experiment – decided to try a SCROG on one of the 7 autos, just to see how she takes it. So far, so good – she’s bouncing back nicely. These F1s are really something! The rest of the girls are doing well under LST, spreading out slowly and steadily. Everyone looks healthy, and growth has been pretty consistent all around. All in all, a smooth week so far. The tent’s looking better every day – curious to see how things develop from here.

Got the girls into there flowering tent and there 5 gal RDWC system under a 1000w HPS on a light rail mover. We are flipping them now because these DWC systems produce massive plants. We are going to tuck through the stretch until they stop this time and try and keep them as low as possible. I’ve grown this strain before a few times and ran a couple clone runs of it as well, so I think I know what to expect hopefully. Lol this is a spectacular strain from an A+ breeder(Canuk Seeds) and I can’t wait to smoke her again! One of those tried tested and true strains for me...lol I will also be keeping the light at max height and punching them with 1000w rite from the get go instead of lowering the wattage and trying to get the light closer to try and conserve power. I get a better light spread at 1000w 3 feet away and don’t have to move my light as much to cover the roughly 4x6 foot space of the tent I will be flowing in. The last 2 feet of the tent are reservoir and air conditioner. I don’t want the cold air to close to my plants so I try to keep a buffer zone. I will be adding a cardboard wall I think across blocking the air conditioners direct air output and blow it across the tent with my oscillation fan instead. I also have my second water cooled thermoelectric reservoir water chiller built now and I will be installing it in this reservoir as soon as I get a chance. I’m making a how to DIY video for it so it’s taking a bit longer to build and install as I’m trying to document the entire process. So probably next week I will have it installed and running for the weekly update and I’ll post some links to the DIY video as well if I have it up yet. Couple weeks ago I over nute’d them and ended up with nitrogen abundance so I countered that last week with a very low EC at 0.2 and the rebounded quick, so quick they went the opposite and I had nitrogen deficiency within the week. Lol so they are now in there new homes and sitting in 0.75 EC water with 6.0ph and they are coming around now. Well that’s it for this week folks, Cheers! 💨

This plant have a very strong smell and there are very high THC with a good balance that allows you to still be productive on my day . All popcorn and small buds were chopped into pieces and put in a pot for edibles. The buds that grow from the plant that did very well are very dense and heavy the main cola waited 15.56 grams dry

I decided to give the Girls one more veg week while i tried to gently adjust the ph. Although just managed to achieve a 7.5 Plants are getting bigger and I have limited space so they are going to flowering anyway. Guess the ph was high due to dolomite lime I added when measuring with unclaibrated ph meter and got misreaded 5.5ph I plan to add some bokashi and worm castings aiming to get to the 6.5 ph. Girls are looking fine only some leaves yellowing thanks to the ph locking some of the nutes.

It's been a great week to watch bud sites continue to develop thoroughly across the top of the canopy. The plant I have in the scrog net is the bigger of the two so it got a heavier defoliation particularly near the bottom of the plant. -I added Humboldt secret golden tree (0-0-2) to my nutrient mix to help boost nutrition to the root zone. It is expensive stuff but the plants can't get enough of it. I have been giving really heavy feedings (1200 ppm or 2.4 EC) every other water, but soon I'm going to taper off and focus on feeding more calcium and carbon than anything else. -I increased my CO2 dosage to about 1400 ppm - I have increased my light intensity to roughly 80% on all three of my lights.. I probably won't go much higher I never run my lights at 100% -Trichome development has really taken off.. plants have developed a sweet & gassy smell.. the structure of these girls is UNREAL.. This week wasn't as bad as last week 😊 Nights were cold 😰, but not to much rain 😿 and a few hours of sun 😍 Temperatures in the greenhouse were medium : during the day 20°C 💀; min temp 3.5°C ; max temp 31,7°C 😤 Cookies Gelato has turned completely purple 👍👍👍 I defoliated the plants 😙 and had to remove budrot (especially in the Cookies Gelatoes)😨 I took the prettiest Cookies Gelato outside for a photo session in my garden 😍 Probably these will be the last pictures of the plans, before harvesting ! 👍😄

8/9/2018 - All of these girls are doing great and have all shown their white pistils now! The branching on them has taken off and they responded to being topped really well. I’ve switched them from my 4x4 grow tent into a 4x8. I have to say it is significantly better having the extra space to be able to water, move around and for better air circulation with multiple fans. I also believe this will greatly help with light penetration inventory they bush out. I’ve been having issues keeping the daytime air temperature down due to the extream heat wave we have been experiencing. I think I have tackled this issue by running the lights at night now while the temperatures are cooler. Tomorrow is the official switch to flower and will be on a 13 hours off, 11 hours on light cycle for the next 2 days. Then on a normal 12/12 light cycle. IVE read that this can help the plants switch quicker. I’m looking forward to seeing the growth over the next few weeks!

Week 7 flower : I defoliated a little just to give bud sights more light . Started flush on 6 1/2 weeks I’m just giving plain water and ph to about 6.0 . Watering everyday to about 20-30% run off and the ec of the run off is 1.0ec gonna be flushing everyday for next 1-2 weeks .

Northern lights is growing great. She had a big growth spurt over the last week. She has been growing vigorously this last week. I did some training today on her. Getting ready for the continued growth to come. Everything is going great. the gelato grows i did before in coco took 4 weeks longer but way more yield. This strain has a lot of resin production and is also good to grow during the winter

July 7, 2020 update... Houston... We have lift off!!! Flowering has officially begun with all four ladies. The actual heights of the 4 ladies is as follows 24" & 26" (indoors) and 21" & 24" (outdoors). The indoor plants are also much bushier and have more nodes. The outdoor plants are looking more like old school autos just focusing on a main central cola. I gave all of the ladies a LST bend and tied them down at a 45 degree angle. This is to allow better light penetration to the lower bud sites and usually results in several branches producing fat colas, not just the top. I am starting to see some bug damage on the outdoor girls. I have been trying to use companion planting of Basil, Chives, Spearmint, and Oregano as natural bug deterrents, but that's not working as well as I had hoped. I also sprayed them once with Safer End-All. Its OMRI listed and recommended by 'The Rev' of Skunk Magazine and True Living Organic fame. I'd prefer not to spray them again, especially as they get farther into flower. Any suggestions for keeping bugs away from my girls would be appreciated - hit me up in the comments. 👍
