Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! ###Deutscher Text unten The week started well until I noticed the yellow tips on day 24. I had actually ruled out overfertilization as I hadn't fertilized at all. Apparently, however, the nitrogen is released/absorbed irregularly in pre-fertilized soil. The Floragard Grow Mix is apparently very strong and more suitable for photoperiodic plants. I skipped the planned fertilization with Terra Vega accordingly. However, my girls survived the whole thing well and have now entered the flowering phase. On day 29, I gave them their first fertilization with Terra Flores. I'm currently watering one liter every 2 days. I had problems getting the humidity down. It was actually always over 60% in the grow tent. I had to open the tent and set up a dehumidifier in the room, so I get 40-50 LF, but the room also gets quite warm from the dehumidifier and half the house “smells” of the three ladies. Not ideal, the next grow will go outside in June. I have the feeling that I should defoliate the plants to give the buds more light. But I don't want to stress the plant, especially as it's an automatic. .... So far I've only tried to pinch off the large leaves. Maybe you have some advice for me! ###Deutsch: Die Woche begann gut, bis ich die gelben Spitzen am Tag 24 bemerkte. Eine Überdüngung hatte ich eigentlich ausgeschlossen da ich noch gar nicht gedüngt hatte. Anscheinend wird der Stickstoff in vorgedüngter Erde aber unregelmäßig abgegeben/aufgenommen. Der Floragard Grow Mix ist anscheinend doch sehr scharf und eher was für photperiodische Pflanzen. Die geplante Düngung mit Terra Vega habe ich entsprechend ausgelassen. Meine Mädels haben das ganze aber gut überstanden und sind jetzt in die Blütephase übergegangen. Am Tag 29 gab es dann doch eine erste Düngung mit Terra Flores. Ich gieße im Moment einen Liter alle 2 Tage. Hatte Probleme die Luftfeuchtigkeit runterzubekommen. Im Growzelt waren es eigentlich imm über 60%. Musste das Zelt öffnen und im Raum einen Entfeuchter aufstellen, so komme ich auf 40-50 LF, aber der Raum wird auch ziemlich warm durch den Entfeuchter und das halbe Haus "duftet" nach den drei Damen. Nicht optimal, der nächste Grow geht im Juni nach draußen. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass ich die Pflanzen entlauben sollte um den Buds mehr Licht zu geben. Ich will aber die Pflanze nicht stressen, vor allem weil es eine Automatic ist....Habe bis jetzt nur versucht die großen Blätte runterzudrücken. Vielleicht habt ihr ja einen Rat für mich!

Week 3 males developing right on time! Pollen will be dispersing soon. So now trying to nail down who daddy was? Week 3 day 1 males looking very nice, no sign of either one showing female flowers( no hermaphrodite/ true male) but I will stress them more after reveg for severe stress test. For final results. Looks like I forgot to feed mom! Shit! But I did not.I used bio tone starter 5-1-1 by Espoma gonna feed in am. With tomato tone with myco 3-4-6 it's all I got and organic to boot 👍 Last grow with Captains cake went to 11 weeks 2 - 3 applications should get me to finish line. No flush should be needed, it's feeding the seeds growth. Looking at 07/01/2018 harvest. Fingers crossed! 05/05/2018 First burst of male pollen is flying in the air, gonna try to get video of it as I shake the males. I am brewing tea with worm castings unsulphured molasses,topped off with protilizer immediately after brewing it. Give them a little love (Tea) while they are making seeds👊

🌾 Harvest Day — The Grand Finale of the Eternity Grow Cup 🌾 Days 72–73 | Trimmed on May 25 | Posted May 27 What a journey this has been — and what a finish. These five incredible Runtz phenos have now completed their cycle, and today, we celebrate the final stage of their flowering life: the Harvest. We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. Not a single pop-corn bud among them — only rock-solid nugs, heavyweight champions in every sense. 📦 Cure Begins – Grove Bags & Glass Jars Once trimmed, the buds were tucked carefully into Grove Bags and glass jars, each stabilized at around 61% RH. The Grove Bags handle the microclimate beautifully, keeping humidity between 58–61%, perfect for preserving all that hard-earned quality. We’re now opening the jars daily, monitoring aroma and feel. This part of the process — the cure — is where the soul of the flower truly comes to life. ☀️ UV, Reds & The Perfect Run Part of what made this run so special was the precision in light spectrum. 40% whites, full reds, UV and IR, and the girls responded like royalty. The UV pushed trichome development to the max. The deep reds gave us thickness, color, and weight. All of it under ThinkGrow Model Ones powered through the Trolmaster ecosystem — everything syncing in harmony. This run was stable, lush, expressive — a grower’s dream. To my eyes, this was a perfect run. ⚖️ Final Yield: 1,302 Grams (1.3 kg) In a 4x4 tent — that’s just 1.2m x 1.2m for metric friends — we pulled in 1,302 grams of flower, not even counting the buds that were taken for filming, photos, or “quality control testing” along the way. 😉 Dense. Loud. Sticky. Resinous. 🌿 The Hidden Half: A Tribute to the Roots In every grow, there’s a part we don’t always see — a part that lives underground, quietly holding everything together. The roots. And this time, I wanted to honor them too. When we unpotted the plants after harvest, we were met with massive, dense root systems, completely filling the Autopot trays. These roots were vibrant, white and healthy, looking like noodles in a thick herbal soup — a true sign of vitality. The Autopots system, combined with the Aptus Holland Clean Program and Plagron Green Sensation, made sure they had the perfect environment to expand, absorb, and thrive. The plant took off this week. I am relatively new so was working through getting my PH measuring/balancing down. Now that I have established a better method the plant responded well. Put in a scrog to help even the canopy for the future. The other plant I have running is a bubblegum autoflower that is a few weeks older (right). Personally I really loved the look of the gold leaf at this point, it had a very nice spiral look to it almost like an xmas wreath.

Hello fellow cannabis lovers, this Week my pineapple express started to show her little buds in formation, so far she is healthy and really like to be under those new leds I got, they are really powerful and seems to do the job better than HPS... I hope no more little rust points on leaves.... We will see if it was the hps doing those side effects on leaves... The leds are producing less heat than my HPS, so this summer my bedroom will not become a sauna with cannabis aromatherapy ! 😀Added some worm castings and fish blood with bones and guano to the soil approximately 2 handfull all mixed and water 1. 5l. I will add some pics of her when she was in vegetative cycle. That is all until next week, thank you for checking up on my little grow and for all the nice comments received, it is so nice to have fellow cannabis lovers to share our labour of love with, so little people I know care about gardening... Here in the UK cities people just want to smoke anything and do not care about the plant the way we do here, they just see money and getting high... Also of course I cannot talk about it to others because of illegality and the less who know the better... This is the only place I share my passion for gardening and cannabis even if it is a breach in my secret, I am sure no one in the law care about my little personal medical cannabis production and have bigger criminals to go after, again wishful thinking? 😁 Anyway we have to show we cannabis lovers are no threat to society and can be functional and gardeners even after smoking! Not as many photos these past few weeks because this and harvest are the most non-eventful. However, I can add that this variety of cannabis is EXTREMELY robust and vibrant despite light, nutrient and medium constraints! I get why growth is slowing; I've introduced far-red for EOD and BOD 15 minute regiments and I'm slowly decreasing light lengths instead of flipping(I don't want to stress out other plants in room). This is fine with me as not only this plant outgrown its area horizontally, I have roughly 20% vertical space remaining which should work out with flowering stretch. I didn't want to put flowering in this weeks journal despite obvious maturity(pistils are kool-aide red), the transition is slow but the past 3 days have been slow-er than past month. Lots of very lime green new growth which I've associated with a tad bit of light bleaching but actual leaves themselves show no signs of anything, I go back to when this plant was weeks old...it was very lime green then too so Boron, Molybdenum and Magnesium issues are out of the window. Same with iron. This plant is just fine but could use some UVa baths to pull out those phenotypical traits, a couple more days and my custom built board will be added to this room for 6hr increments. Otherwise, all is good. I could transplant but it's not showing it's rootbound. I could also raise my lights, I probably will tonight even though I've grown other plants 1" away with zero burn(around the led edges). I also have been feeding with McCormick(must be an old-school midwest thing) Strawberry Extract and as usual been seeing the plant respond, especially with "oops, too much" moments when using the blackstrap molasses! This micro area has a very humid(despite 45%Rh), dank, floral smell and when doing the rub test; this plant has a very fruity pungency to it. I like using molasses all the way through as when buds are harvested are much more dense, stay humid longer and have much more sugary kief. Rambling. Next week will have the 365nm UV, the results will blow your mind! Until then. Couldn't figure out the extreme lime green new growth despite almost perfect growing conditions all around, concluded light bleaching but never thought N or Iron deficiency. After transplanting, roots were pearl white, no rotting spots and very little soil showing. Good thing I amended heavily with 5-3-3 and 4-15-12 dry amendments and that blood meal I bought weeks back...3 days later the darker green is coming back! Lots of growth and it has a very distinct strawberry candy aromas when watered and when surrounding air is humid. I have also stopped using my 150w ceramic heater, temps hover 76°F to 80°F day and stay constant 66-68° nights. This plant has almost ideal growing conditions and you can see it's now focusing energy to forming sturdy bud sites. 2 more weeks until full blown flower 12/12 cycle but I cannot wait for this heatsink to get here for this UV light I've sourced. This girl has the structure..

Week 7 here we go They starting to show some colors as they are getting frostier and frostier 😇 tricomes still all very young and clear but getting there 🤫😈 Day 46 update : selective defoliation, they needed more air and light going around. Topped them again this week (except for the OG Kush which is still growing very slowly) and did some more defoliation. Also, I installed a scrog net; it's not fixed very well but I think it will do for now.. I'm gonna be away for almost two weeks now, I hope nothing goes wrong, the AutoPot system should take care of everything.
