they are very sticky smelly and all that good stuff. I did a bit more trimming of the fan leafs so all the flowers that are growing can get maxim light coverage. I also used the microscope a bit and i noticed that the tricomes are mostly transparent. The smell is just amazing, very lemony i would say. I would say this is the last week of feeding before doing some flushing. Will have to see if i can flush 1 or two weeks. 09-01-2023 - I fed PH corrected RO water without nutrients.

Hi Gromie's, northern Lights has really taken off this week , I have upped nutrients & also turned light up to 75% (around 360w) which has also helped to increase temps to 22-24°c. Rise in temperature has made a big difference. I have also topped her a 2nd time & will mainline using nebula haze's (grow weed easy.com) method keeping the 1st & 3rd node's giving me 4 cola's per side, 8 total, have started training branches. Frostbanger Plants 1-6 Week 9 May 18– 24 FLOWER 5 Nutrients : 3 gal GH Micro 20 ml GH Gro 10 ml GH Bloom 30ml CalMag 15 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 15ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/18 PH 6.67, PPM 935, temp 68.5 1 ltr each 5/20 PH 6.67, PPM 1330, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/23 PH 6.6, PPM 1570, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/24 pics & vid Since all 6 gals are getting frosty, I did some trichome pics. The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. The small one is almost done prob get chopped this weekend the bigger one needs another flush but they are both very frosty. Started the flush on most of these last week. 42 days placing seed in water. Past week plant has grow alot however looks like a cal mag and potassium deficiency. Changed reservoir water today. pH still keeps swining up. After res change pH was around 5.4. Will check later to see of it goes up again. Also had humidity and temperature problems which was sorted in past week. All in all she looks good Hopefully she will recover nicely.

This week the buds have fatten up some more and the production of thc was clearly visible in the trichomes. On the last day of this week I did a check and I saw a lot of them where turning cloudy, half cloudy with a few amber ones. I guess another 2 weeks at max and I'll be harvesting. The fungus gnats where a real pest during this run. So I've placed a drosera capensis(carnivorious plant) in the growroom and she hasn't eaten this much since I got here a year ago. Should have done this weeks ago... Last week transplanted the plants to their final containers. Approx 12L and 17L fabric pots. Did my best to transplant without disturbing the roots, by first placing the small container in the new container to make an hole in the dirt. And then cutting apart the small container instead of pulling out the plant. Then just fitting the root-ball into the already made hole. Root development looked pretty good when I did the transplant. Transplanted into a rather well-fertilized soil. Don't plan on fertilizing these plants during the whole grow unless I otherwise see a reason to. Also started LST last week, bending the plants somewhat extreme, but they're taking it just fine. Water here is rather alkaline, so I'm starting to control the PH of the water now. There's a clear skunk smell that started last week as well, but only when the tent has been opened. Still, it doesn't take much time to notice if you stick your head in the tent. And this is already starting in Week 2 of veg! So the charcoal filter is set up. Pretty happy with the development so far, although I've still been seeing some thrips. If they're not completely gone by next week, might end up mixing some of the spinosad into the water so the plants absorb it. Day 16 - Cut off one of the lower fan leaves on both plants. It was blocking the other nodes from receiving much light. I am already able to start noticing mandarin/tangerine undertones in the smell when I've handled the plants.
