So, Im growing 1 Pineapple Express, in soil, and 1 hydroponically. This diary I’m using it for soil records(have a strawberry cheesecake auto diary, for hydro). The one in soil is 2x bigger than the rest of the plants in the same 4x4 tent, and I rotate them every other day! The reason for doing this, is due to always seeming to have 1 way bigger than the others. All in all, it’s been a good week! Been really, REALLY appreciating the perfect ph Advanced Nutrients!!!! I still check the ph, and due to the different type of grows, I do have to have a little higher ph for soil, but it’s been consistently ~6.2-6.3

Day 36 of my first growI started taking bitter salt this week because of magnesium if anyone knows more about it please let us talk about it otherwise everything is going well just a few yellow leaves not too much💚😊

Spent the week rinsing and massaging roots, cleaning, filling then re-cleaning and refilling reservoirs. The rot is gone. Replaced with beneficial microbes from Advanced Nutrients Tarantula, that I made into a tea. This tea has cured the rot and also made a huge contribution to the roots and therefore, the whole plant. Am very impressed with the plants progress, vigour, vitality and strength! Now that the crisis is over, I'll be using the tea twice weekly to replenish the ranks. De fanned all plants to help light penetration for onset of flowers. I’ve either got a fungus knats or root aphid issue. I’m usually on a daily watering system but have had to manually feed plants due to some under root development, which is probably due to bugs. Noticed some yellowing but plants seem to be doing fine.

I have a huge smile on my face because I’m getting closer and closer each day to smoking my own cannabis. Never buying weed again. Still on one tent but by this time next year the plan is to have a veg room and a flower room. Anyways. This past week has been great for the plants. Taking water nicely. All plants flowering nicely from what I can tell. Nothing looks odd. No insect or bacteria issues. Knock on weed... hope I didn’t jinx myself. I’m adding a dehumidifier and should be in by next weeks post. From what I read is if they get too wet and moist the plants can develop mildew or mold and fungus and also it says that after a rain or watering you want the pores of the leaves to open back up and if it’s too wet they never open and stop producing. Sounds good to me. Also. Got a new phone. First one in a long while and I made a short vid.

This is the end of strawberry cheesecake auto. Was a quarter pound plus grow barely. 114.4 grams dry off 1 plant. Was a overall good grow. Does not like warmth or humidity. The ninth week of flowering is now over and the last days of the ladies have begun. The stated 9-10 weeks flowering time is definitely correct. One plant of the Hardcore Zoap was ready a little earlier, but as I want to harvest everything at once, everything is left standing until the majority looks ready. I also preferred to harvest the plants a little more mature than too early. In terms of appearance, I like the Miracle Gushers flowers best, as they have a fine and compact structure. The Banana Creamz seem to be able to develop very thick flowers, whereas the Hardcore Zoap seems to have the lowest yield. I will be able to say more after drying and weighing.

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use.
