5/3 WATERED EVERYTHING WITH A SHOT GLASS. STUNTED PURPLE PUNCH THAT TOTALLY SRIED OUT GOT HALF A SHOT GLASS. Doesn't seem possible but the plants look bigger and better than they did yesterday. Cups are really drying out fast. Takes a while for it to drink up that little shot glass of water. Sits right on top for a while. I know they'll tell me when they're ready to transplant but I'm planning about a week week and a half until transplant to the 3's. I'm moving my cage and getting supports setup ahead of time. Soil is properly stored. Need to sanitize grow bags and tools. I'm super excited for this year. At least this year I don't have to start out fixing others problems from clones. 5/4 Plants still continuing to grow at a rapid pace. Stunted purple punch is doing better. Plants seem like they are using more water. Soil seemed dry. Ill stop qnd ask my buddy but everything LOOKS awesome. UPDATE: I stopped and showed my buddy some pictures and videos and after getting some advice I'm considering increasing water intake on the 10th planet and the blueberry cheese. He said I could go up to 1 1/2 shot glasses or even two and he didn't think I'd see problems. Just watch for run off. I figured I'd weigh the dry cup of soil and see what the other plants weigh before I make my decision. This dude has definitely helped in the past and hasn't been wrong. I think either way it would be fine. I got a QUICK peak at them around 3pm and they were all "praying to the sun" and their was company so I didn't weigh the plants considering in that glance they looked even better than before! 5/5 SOMEWHERE HERE I MESSED UP THE DATE AND I CANT SEEM TO FIND WHETE SO IM JUST CORRECTING IT HETE AND MOVING FORWARD. I weighed a dry cup of soil which weighed about 180-190 grams today. One of the 10th planet seedlings weighed in at like 190 so they definitely are getting a dry cycle and need more water. Same with the Blueberry cheese. They were light and are growing like crazy. Thing is they look so perfect I don't wanna change anything. I spoke to my commercial buddy and he said I could increase to two shot glasses without issue he thought. I decided on a shot glass and a half for the 10th planet and Blueberry Cheese Cake. I talked to another grower (my buddies mom whos very familiar with the strain) about Barney's purple punch and I guess they look good and take a while to really "take off". When I weighed some of the purple punch the weight of a small plant was in the 220's. I decided to try 'half a shot glass' instead of a full one for the purple punch. UPDATE: I watered between 5am and 6am and went to check around 11. It's 11:11 right now! I wish for a successful harvest and healthy plants! This morning the plants seemed a little droopy. It could've been in my head but looking at them after watering and they look substantially better. Leaves up! Praying to the sun! It's not going to be long until the 10th planet and Blueberry Cheese will need to be transplanted. I just want to make sure I've got a solid rootball before I even think of transplanting. 5/6 WOW. Adjusting the water made the plants take off faster! I felt the cups and they want more room! Unfortunately I left my soil in the garage. I'm wondering how long it will take to warm up otherwise these girls would be on their new temporary 3 gallon homes. Purple punch REALLY took off. Might be good to give the soil a day or two to warm up. Tomorrow's my wife's birthday though....hope she likes transplanting cannabis....that was a joke. UPDATE: I sanitized a tote and mixed 3 part soil fox farm ocean forest, happy frog and 707 in a bin. I then chose the blueberry cheese cake to test for transplant. I was afraid plants were dry but I stupidly went ahead anyhow. I tried the cut the solo cup method and it wouldn't cut down all the way. Anyway u thought i lost that first one but I didn't. Not yet anyway. 45 mins later and they looked great. Still I had put everything away and decided to give the others a few more days. Plus my wife's birthday is tomorrow. I did get some outdoor prep done. 5/7 NO TRANSPLANT SHOCK. All 5 blueberry cheese are in their new homes and loving it. It's my wife's birthday so I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow to transplant the 10th planet and maybe a couple more for the purple punch. We'll see. Watered the plants in solos. Purple punch got half a shot glass. 10th planet got a full one. Soil should be nice and moist for the transplant. Oh and that ripping the solo cup tip sucks. It NEVER goes all tge way to the bottom and it's like thicker or something down there. Important to have slim scissors or something to snip that tiny bottom piece at the end where it tapers. 5/8 Blueberry Cheese Cake is doing great and doesn't seem like it has any stress. Didn't water. Successfully transplanted 10th planet. Nice white roots. Looks like it's going to be a good year. More wotlrk to do. 5/9 10th planet is looking GREAT! Transplants have gone great this year. Purple punch will be transplanted tonight or tomorrow. I watered the purple punch with less than a shot glass. I'd like to get them transplanted today. I have an idea this is going to be a good season. UPDATE: Went to the house around 6 and brought in a couple more bags of soil so that I can finish my transplants tomorrow. Team #nowater lol seems to be doing great lol. I'll give then water tomorrow. As long as they aren't doing so good. With everything that's going on seeing these succeed feels great. Healthiest plants I've grown so far.

Week5 the temperatures dropped a bit and I did what I could...❄️❄️ Earlier this week I had to flush this little one because I thought she had nitrogen toxicity. Maybe not... But From the water that ran out I realized that the soil was full of nuts and after the flush I didn't give it any more water. as I use a 12 liter vase, you can imagine how much water was retained in the root system. for that reason and because the water is good quality and has an amount of micronutrients, I didn't have to worry about giving water this week. let's see next week, wish me luck 🤞☺️🌞

Built a new small veg setup for my clones that I took off my Blue Dream... likely running other strains next time but I wanted to test my cloning setup, and ended up with 100% success rate on them. Every plant is happy and growing well! I'll be pushing my nutes to the top of the recommended feeding chart to try and get as much out of the plants as I can.

Woooo! I kicked off the first week of the flower by mixing together and applying a topdress consisting of worm castings, biochar, insect frass, kelp meal, neem meal, alfalfa meal, mustard meal, soft rock phosphate, malted barley, palm ash, basalt, rock dust, gypsum, and leonardite. I also added yellow sticky traps to see if there are any bugs around, since I haven’t even seen a single fungus gnat during the entire grow.

The temperatures and measurements listed in the grow conditions are averaged for the week. The nutrients listed in that section are ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 We missed the scattered showers but it's been 80-90% humidity all day. It's been real sunny but the pots are very wet. Day 2 we had lots of sunshine and temperatures above 80° F. Day 3 we had clear, sunny skies. Temperature were in the mid 80's F. I watered 1.5-2 gallons directly from the hose. The well water is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Day 4 we had thunderstorms and rain in the morning followed by sunshine. Day 5 we had lots of sunshine, temps in the mid 80's and thunderstorms and rain in the evening. The thunderstorms became severe overnight. Day 6 we had rain in the morning followed by rain and thunderstorms intermittently into the night. Day 7 we had rains early morning and then cloudy most of the day. We have sunshine in the forecast for next week. 🙏🙏🙏 I added ferrous sulfate at 50 ml/gallon of soil top dressed. The pH began to push up above 7.

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success ! Plant at the front #3 has had slowed growth but buds are filling out pretty well now, pretty sure she is a Orange sherbet. Back 2 are on week 3 day 17!!! & Are going Awesome, buds stacking up & down every branch! Going to get some really good Cola's of them! They are loving the 730watts!’ of light, back left plant looks like a Tropicana Cookies, going to do some defoliation on her & tie branches down a bit to open up middle of plant to allow more light & air to lower bud sites.

Es war eine sehr gemischte Woche mit viel Regen, etwas Sonne und eine Menge Wind. Die Durban Poison lässt sich davon wenig beeindrucken, sie ist am Stock festgebunden, steht kerzengerade und lässt ihre Buds weiter anschwellen. Leider habe ich bei sehr genauem Hinsehen doch ein welkes verdrehtes Blatt in einer Blüte gefunden und dieses mit der Blüte sofort entfernt. Weiteres Untersuchen brachte aber keine weiteren beginnenden Schimmelstellen zum Vorschein. 100% schommelfrei ist sie also nicht... Das Wetter ist jedoch sehr schimmelförderlich zur Zeit. Ich freue mich schon auf die Ernte, in ca. zwei Wochen dürfte es soweit sein und und dann benötige ich viiiel Platz zum Trocknen. Die DP ist dieses Jahr etwas kleiner als im Jahr davor, was sicherlich an der Düngemenge im Topf in der Vegetationsphase liegt. Entscheidend wird sein, ob das Entlauben etwas am Erntergebnis verbessern wird. Letztes Jahr hatte ich mehr Blätter an der Pflanze gelassen. The Durban Poison is not particularly affected by this; it is tied to the stake, stands straight as a die and continues to swell its buds. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I did find a wilted, twisted leaf in one of the flowers and immediately removed it along with the flower. Further examination revealed no other signs of mould. So it's not 100% mould-free... However, the weather is very conducive to mould at the moment. I'm looking forward to the harvest, which should be ready in about two weeks, and then I'll need a lot of space for drying. The DP is a little smaller this year than last year, which is certainly due to the amount of fertiliser in the pot during the vegetation phase. The decisive factor will be whether defoliation will improve the harvest yield. Last year, I left more leaves on the plant. Thank you very much for visiting and best wishes for a mould-free week! 😀
