squalino hello I'm keeping this journal to see if I've managed to get a green thumb. I wanted to diversify my journals, so I hope I'll succeed. All help is welcome for this new project. I planted 2 young tobacco fig cuttings brought back from Rimini in a pot in the garden. I prepared my light mix soil, 50 liters with 50 grams of startrex and silicon flash. I dug a hole and sprinkled 5 grams of mycotrex to put my two plants in. Now in place, I let nature take its course with them.

squalino the plant has grown 2 leaves so they have adapted. something is eating them but I can't see what. I don't see any bugs under the leaves or on top. otherwise, it seems to be doing well for now ❤️❤️

squalino My Grow Journal: Fig Tree (Outdoor - AutoPot & Biotabs) 📅 Date: Week 3 📈 Measurements: The big one: 77 cm The small one: Not measured (but full of life!) 📝 Observations of the week Explosive growth: At just 3 weeks into the grow, my two plants are showing ironclad health and are developing very well. The biggest one has already reached an impressive height of 77 cm. The Biotabs fertilizers are doing a remarkable job, providing stable and optimal nutrition that translates into the continuous appearance of well-formed new leaves. The next generation is here: A very nice surprise in the substrate this week! I spotted the start of a brand new fig shoot that is beginning to poke its head out of the soil. A few visitors: Outdoors, it’s inevitable: little insects are clearly having fun nibbling on the edges of some leaves. The damage remains very minor and localized to the lower parts. The plants show no signs of stress or slowed growth; the main apex continues to climb without any issues. 📸 Evolution Gallery – Week 3 Close-up of the new shoot: A macro photo shows in detail the young fig shoot emerging from the soil, with its little green envelope still visible. The awakening of the substrate: A slightly wider view of the soil highlights the emergence of this tiny miniature leaf compared to the surface of the pot. Top leaf dome: A top-down shot showing the foliage of the tallest plant, capturing the outdoor light with a vigorous green. Focus on the heart of the pot: A bird's-eye view centered on the branching of the stems, allowing observation of the base of the plants and the staking area. Overall view of the setup: A complete perspective showing the white AutoPot tray outdoors, where the height difference between the tall main stem and the small neighboring plant is clearly visible. Close-up of the foliage: A tight shot of the well-hydrated leaf structure after watering, revealing the slight notches caused by insects on the edges. Thanks everyone and thanks to Biotabs for their great fertilizer ❤️

squalino Honestly, I'm pretty satisfied. The biotabs fertilizers work wonderfully, I think. Well, I'm not an expert in figs 🤣🤣, but in my opinion, she's growing well; she has produced a nice young shoot that's growing well in the shade of her mother despite the overwhelming heat of this past week.

squalino FIG TREE AUTOPOT 50 L OUTDOOR THANK YOU ❤️ I want to thank you all for following this extraordinary journal. I know we’re on cannabis cultivation, but I wanted to share this moment with you. Thanks again for your support ❤️ Here are my 2 little fig trees living their lives, bringing life to others like a true little couple 😍😍 SIZE small fig tree 46 cm large fig tree 93 cm I don’t know if I’m doing things right, but my plants seem to be developing well. They’ve given me new shoots as well as secondary branches. Despite probably being nibbled on from time to time, they seem to handle the unexpected well. (heatwaves, insects, and my clumsiness) I will probably give them some Orgatrex biotabs. I find that their leaves are lightening up. So I will treat it like a cannabis plant. So 4 ml of Orgatrex and in 2 days, 1 ml of CalMag to prevent calcium and magnesium deficiency. See you soon for a new chapter in their story. ❤️❤️

squalino hello everyone it's already been 10 days since the last update. currently measures 102 centimeters (+8) she's getting more and more beautiful with well-developed lateral branches. I gave her some company so she wouldn't feel lonely. her companion fig was lying in the soil after last night's storm. this morning I put Spirit with her to support her and she's bounced back beautifully. only received water.

squalino 🌱 My Grow Journal: Transition to Ground & Setup 📅 Stage: Planting in Ground & Maintenance 📍 Location: Garden (at the foot of the wooden fence) 📝 Observations & Garden Work Planting in Ground: Big change this weekend! I took the plunge and transplanted the big fig tree into the ground in the garden, right next to its little companion. I also took the opportunity to organize this corner of the garden by planting my olive tree and my daughter's strawberry container. Health Status of the Main Fig Tree: The big fig tree is really beautiful. Its stem is well upright along its stake, its foliage remains very dense, green, and continues to thrive remarkably well despite the transition. Uncertainty about the little frostbanger: For the little fig at the base, recovery is more uncertain. Its leaves are drooping/wilting after repotting. I’ll need to keep a close eye on it in the coming days to see if it can regain strength. The nights are cool at the moment. Pest Management (Fig Moth): I detected the presence of fig moths (small caterpillars causing damage under the leaves). I immediately reacted by carefully cutting off the affected leaves to limit the spread. I will make a trip to the garden center to find an appropriate treatment (probably Bacillus thuringiensis / BT) and I will report back in the next update. 🎥 Analysis The big fig tree in the ground: Planted along the wooden privacy screen, the main subject shows an upright posture with numerous leaf branches along the length of its staked stem. The Olive & Strawberry Corner: Neatly installed in fresh potting soil, where we find the olive tree proudly planted along with the well-stocked white container of strawberries. Close-up on the Foliage: The upper foliage is well green and dense, even though you can see some cuts and signs of trimming due to the removal of leaves affected by the moth. Focus on the Base & the Little Shoot: Zoom in on the base of the big fig tree where the little shoot appears very weakened (leaves drooping towards the ground), requiring special attention for its rooting. Thanks to everyone for your support and follow-up ❤️❤️❤️❤️
