First week went well, got two plants in coco coir and one in soil. One of the plants in potting soil came up a day after the other two but they’re doing fine

This week, I'm going to keep closer tabs on daily activities. All plants are showing signs of deficiencies. Monday 1/18 - "Flushed" all plants with Clearex. I did about 2.5 gallons per plant and I normally water about 1. I think in general, I'm going to up my watering from here on out if they survive. Tues 1/19 - No watering. Still got a good bit of moisture in the pots. All three plants look a bit healthier. Wed 1/20 - All plants healed by Biden lol. Just in case that fails, I top amended with FFOF mixed with like 2 tbs of Dr Earth, spread across soil for all 3 pots. I watered 3, 3gallon plants with 5 gallons total. Apx 1.5 gallons per plant and they all ran off. Plants looking healthier than they did pre-flush, but I think i'll need to go ahead feed the full amount of Dr Earth at the start of week 9. Thurs 1/21 - Plants are looking pretty good. Critical Kush leaves are turning a bit purple, could be phosphorus def. Friday 1/22 - Normally I would have watered, but the top 2 inches felt damp and the moisture meter shows 2-3 towards the bottom. Gonna give it another day Sat 1/23 - Feed and watering time! I went ahead and did 4 Tablespoons of Dr Earth Life in each 3 gallon pot. The most I've fed to date. This week seems to have been recovering fairly well. Check out the video for a decent tour. In the video I said I fed 4 teaspoons, but it was tablespoons. 😵

The buds are very tight, but they didn't grow large colas so that means wasted time trimming cannabis, which I am not a huge fan of. I will not be growing this strain again, as I believe there are far better breeders and strains out there. I will continue to seek out the best breeders and strains until I am satisfied. I believe this Auto will yield in the 16-22 Ounce range dry, so I am not super disappointed, but I know I can do much better than this. After 6 days of drying, it took me around 7 hours to trim this auto, and she ended up yielding 16.72 Ounces. So she was definitely on the lower end of the spectrum from what I estimated on chop day, but still in the range. The buds are very tight, and smell like like cheese. I am only running one mature auto at a time now, so next up will be the Acid Dough from Ripper Seeds. I hope everyone has a great rest of your weekend, stay safe and Blaze On!!

This week I tried some gentle LST by just bending the main branch over every day once or twice a day I didn’t use tie downs, I figured for my first grow I’ll keep it as simple as possible and see if I can even get it to harvest. It has definitely grown this week from last, and seems to be liking the 50-50 mix of FFOF and FFHF. I have noticed some yellow on the tips of a few leaves I’m assuming it’s cal mad deficiency comparing with others pictures but it’s minor. I have to say fast buds has a very hearty strain here it withstands well despite not having quite enough light, but I hope that’s something I can change in the future grows. I just worry that when she flips to flower she will struggle more under my lighting configuration and fox tail or larf out. That being said I’m intrigued to see what happens and see what she produces. I see her getting into a stretch getting taller daily and wanting more frequent watering I’m assuming I’ll start to see flower in week 5 or maybe 6. All in all I’m very happy for my first grow and the fast buds northern lights, I agree with others that say this strain is resilient. Happy growing!

This grow is going to be testing my coco based auto watering setup. The plants will eventually be going into 2.5 gallon airpots which I cut to be very tall and narrow which I hope will give great performance for this grow style. Nutrient solution will be pumped from a 5 gallon bucket to halo-style drip emitters 6 times a day for 5-10 second intervals. I am going to try to use inline flow control knobs to dial in the watering and allow for slight runoff every fertigation. For lighting I am using my HLG 100 watt lights, one per plant. I am a big fan of these quantum boards, they have given great performance in the past! Thanks for reading! 🌱👍 May 13 day 1: the Blackberry breached after germinating in a rapid rooter for 2 days. I am impressed with how quickly this seed popped! It had no issues with stuck seed casings, which I find is the main downside of germinating in rapid rooters. I am excited about this one! May 16 day 3: Auto watering drip emitters are set up, and I am testing them to dial in the amount of runoff it produces. I also planted the seedlings/rapid rooters into 1 litre grow bags and began feeding nutrients. They are still under the humidity dome for now for the time being and seem to be doing well. Day 4: seedlings doing well, they are staying under the dome untill they grow their next set of leaves, then I will take them out and run a humidifier.

This diary will be special to me for two reasons, one because I have the opportunity to cultivate some new and exciting strains from two of the TOP breeders in the industry! The second reason this will be special to me is that I will be growing these two strains in a brand new greenhouse that I put up! I'm super stoked to see how these two ladies turn out in this new setup. On to the strains: 'Tester' Strain A info: Hybrid (I/S) | 6-7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Sweet, Candy 'Tester' Strain B info: Indica-Dominant (90%) | 7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Peppery, Sweet I hope that you enjoy this run as much as I will... It's going to be fun and interesting for sure! ~GROW WHAT YOU LOVE, LOVE WHAT YOU GROW!~ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: These beauties will be growing in a brand spanking new 10x14' greenhouse that I have equipped with automatic window openers, a complement of Hurricane fans and a de-humidifier/heater to help keep the environment as dialed in as possible. I started both tester in glasses of tap water, where they soaked for 24hrs. After soaking, they were placed directly into whole eggshells with just their tops removed to make a natural seed starting pot that I filled with a 70/30 blend of Coco/Perlite which was pre-moistened with well water ph'd to 6.2, then placed under a 50w full spectrum LED on a 24hr light schedule. Once, they both have their second set of leaves emerged, I plan on starting to put them in the greenhouse for 2-3 hour a day for a few days to help them acclimate and 'harden off' in the greenhouse. I'll be starting both off in 1qt pots, then transplanting them into to gradually larger pots until they're around 6 weeks old, then they will go into their final pots which are 25g fabric pots. I mix my initial medium using 3 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics 4-4-4 along with 1 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics Glacial Rock Dust for the trace minerals it provides, 1 tbsp/g of Down To Earth Kelp Meal, 1 tbsp/g of Trichoderma/Mycorrhizae, and 1 cup/g of Wiggle Worm Castings. I hand mix my amendments to ensure an even distribution throughout the medium. I'll be watering with well water ph'd to 6.2-6.8 and providing bi-weekly compost tea's throughout the run. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 5/1- Week Three of veg is here for the pair of 'Testers' from SSSC/Dutch Passion Seeds. Both 'Testers' continue to do exceptionally well despite temp's in the greenhouse reaching just over 90℉ at the peak of the day. Both continue to show great vigor, color and are both constantly 'praying'! 5/3- Watering both continues every 2-3 days depending on what the plants want. Both girls are looking like champs! 5/5- Today I watered both with 8oz. of well water, to which I added 1 tsp. of Uncle Willies Worm Tea Concentrate. 5/6- Well fam, the Third week of veg is in the rear view mirror for these two beautiful 'Testers' from SSSC and Dutch Passion. Unfortunately, I have to go out of state for 7-10 days because of a family emergency, so I won't have pic's for next week. I will have a family member looking after the plants in the greenhouse to make sure all survive until I return! Update: 5 weeks of flowering complete. Gorilla widow started to hermie a bit on the bottom. I made the mistake of not removing enough popcorn buds and they didn’t get any light. I cut them all off the plant and now hoping it doesn’t hermie the rest of plant due to shock. We shall see, no big deal tho. The bigger deal... stayed at my Gf place from Friday- Sunday came back Sunday to find out the ballast for 1000watt had died!!! Ordered a new ballast and it will be here by Wednesday. For now I’m using an old 600 watt cool tube.

6/7 flipped to flower leafs lil droopy due to over watering a lil bit but it’ll bounce back and everything else looking good tho I think the flowering stretch is going be wild haven’t grown one this tall before going have to move the light up some more soon

This was a really easy strain to grow!!! I had some personal problems while I was doing this diary!!! So didn’t update as much!! But so far this is my best one yet and best strain I have grown and the best harvest and yield I’ve had to this day!!!!

So this grow came to a finshed but I had a. Few issues that’s held me up from finishing up the diary, but in due time I will reupload it all in order soon. But over all I will also update with a final weigh in of each strain produced so stay tuned 🤙🏻🔥

Been a great week, not much to say on the dynomyco as it's early stages but im sure to see major improvement over the next week! I will say at this early stage though I do have alot of stable new growth so shows something is working in them roots but as for my females now, wow it's already shown it's work there as I used it on transfer and mixed Into the medium of the rear females so I'm impressed being a first time user! I will say i have learned alot about it following ari and the firebudz team on Instagram, so if anyone needs any pointers check them out they run classes too! We've made it to week 3! (10/12/20) I'm very happy with how the girls are going, they have definitely put in a HUGE amount of work over the past 7 days. Plants 3 & 8 are very similar(extremely fat leaves & extra bushy) Plants 1 & 5 are similar (smaller phenos reacting to nutes slightly differently) & Plants 2, 4, 6 & 7 seem to be a cross between the previously mentioned phenos(not too small and not too big/bushy & reacting to nutes fine) Feel free to compare Week 1, 2 & 3 to see the differences. Nutes are staying the same this week, although I will be spacing feedings out a little bit further(18 hours-ish), as well as feeding straight PH'd water once a fortnight. I am contemplating hooking my simple drip-to-waste irrigation system up, although the girls are pretty close to the medium still and the halos sit 5-10cm above the medium, meaning fan leaves would be drooping onto the wet halos, so I'll give it another week and see how they're doing :) Update 11/12/20 - day 22 The girls have beefed up quite a bit over the last 24 hours, I'm really looking forward to seeing a stretch soon :) No feeding today & will water plain ph'd water tomorrow. Update 12/12/20 - day 23 Gave the girls straight ph'd water today with little run off. Veg growth is really starting to boom now, looking forward to seeing where this grow goes! I'm gladly accepting any tips or tricks, as I'm still only a beginner to indoors. Update 13/12/20 - day 24 Girls are looking great today, not much to report. They didn't get a feed or watering today as the medium was still wet after a pure watering yesterday. Update 14/12/20 - day 25 There's been a big increase in growth over the past 24 hours. All the girls besides the 2 smaller phenos look 100% happy, the smaller ones have looked a little weird since day 1(Weird as in colour of the fan leaves look deficient of something, but I'm not sure what. The girls will be getting a full feeding today. There's still no signs of sex but they are feminised seeds. Update 15/12/20 - day 26 Girls are looking happy today. Temps are back to normal after a heat wave in my city(its only going to get hotter from here on out). No feeding/watering today, pots are heavy/wet enough. Started using iphone for photos now, my only lens for my DSLR is useless for most grow related photos. I will upgrade my lens before next grow. I received my new silenced fan today! I couldnt be any happier :) It is a silenced Sigilventus SE-A150J, which I have set-up with a brand new Can-lite carbon filter. I went from a rocket loud eBay fan to a completely silent inline EC fan :D I hope the girls like the silence! Update 16/12/20 - day 27 The girls are continuing to boom! and I'm over the moon about it :D I gave them a full feeding today. I have seen white pistils coming out of calyx's on most of the girls, so i'm hoping they start to flower soon. I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine at 40-50% for 70% of the day, but the remaing 30% of the day it goes up to 60-65%. Temps stay the same in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thanks for viewing! :)
