Oh so this is my first entry on GrowDiaries. This Red Dragon started from seed I believe sometime early April. It's been in a 2 gallon pot for a good month and now is ready to be transplanted in a 15 gallon cloth pot. I'm probably gonna do that today, with some fiming. I have a mix ready, made of 1/5 dirt,1/5 chicken manure, 2/5 peat moss, 2/5 perlite, and roughly a tablespoon of lime and sulfur, as well as bone meal and stove ashes. I'm a newbie experimenting so feel free to tell me if I'm doing it all wrong :D

Switched them to flower on 7/5/18! On 7/14 I switched the nutes to the "transition to bloom" blend which basically means it's winging them off of vegetation nutrients. Next week (week 3 of flower), I will then switch to the full on bloom blend! Other than that, just keeping them trimmed and trained as they begin to flower!

She looks absolutely gorgeous on her 2nd week,she's a super big girl that unfortunately I did not train however I'll train her for sure if I have the possibility to do so.she's being grown 100% organically without any type of chemicals full of salts,just bacteria,bat shit,humic acids,seaweed powder and love

Well its a late update from down under.. and its been shit. No other words for it. After all that un seasonal tropical rain a month back my Caramelo was hating life with water logged roots and was wilting badly for more days than id like, she recovered just fine... or so I thought. Thats when I noticed the Spider mites and a small patch of mould rot on a pre flower bud, so I grabbed my trusty Lime Sulfur bottle and made up what I THOUGHT was my usual 1/2 strength mix to use.....But turns out due to a new smaller bottle and me using the wrong mix to start with (I normally use 1/2 the 30ml per lt mix for seedlings even on fully mature plants to avoid burning em, But I used the 50mls per ltr ratio at what I thought was 1/2 strength) AND my old bottle turns out to be 1.25ltrs and my new one was 750mls!! So long story finalized is I used 1.25 X the normal strength mix and burnt the shit out of ALL new shoots and pre flowers. Thus why im only posting a vid of the cat with the ZkittleZ who is loving life harder than any plant Ive had before -So will be focusing a bit more on her for a while now.

May 31 Day 15: Tropicana Cookies FF was the last one started of my domestic four plants but she is a fast grower and will catch up quickly. She might be up to five nodes and ready for the first topping later this week. This was supposed to be the Sativa Wagon, but without Durban Poison it’s really more another Hybrid Wagon. June 1 Day 16: compost tea video but i seem to have lost the audio in the upload somehow. Compost, molasses, coco coir for the bacteria to grow on and a serving of Monster Maxx. Leave overnight for bacteria to grow but not so long that the dissolved oxygen is used up. You want the aerobic bacteria that need oxygen to live. Some of the brew was diluted 1:1 and used as a foliar spray. The air is very dry here during the day and misting the plant leaves is equivalent to a higher humidity that you could control indoors. June 6: Tropicana Cookies is doing great. She staryed late but she’s catching up to the other plants.

Day29: New sets of leaves. I'll repot and switch to proper Veg Lights on the weekend. Day30: I'll repot tomorrow. Day31: Repotting done. She had a crazy amount of roots in the seedling pot. MUCH more than I expected. I switched to Veg lights at 90% power. Day32: Settling in new pot Day33 & 34: I had to perform some maintenance on the tent. Lost some hours due to that. Day35: Growth really looking healthy. Although she's not really stretching high, she does look rather happy. I do like them thicc ;) General: I need to put the camera somewhere else so that the growth can be better seen. Right at the end I'll edit out the white flashes. They're caused by the humidifier running and will be really easy to cut out without losing the gist of the grow :)

Girls strech nicely..i remove all leaves and branches below net. 1 more week and then switching to 12/12

This week was also uneventful, growth has been slow and I'd say its half my fault with PH issues and over feeding which I'm correcting moving forward; and two unstable genetics. I dont have much info on growth patterns for this strain but its supposed to look a beautiful dark purple so I'm gonna breed a male and female hopefully. I'm also looking forward to the fourth phenos straits, I kind of hope its different just to have fourth completely unique phenos.

Día 26. Estamos en la 4ta semana. Por ahora mantengo la solución y la planta sigue creciendo pero ya está casi para cortar los esquejes. La semana que viene seguro estoy cortando, y ya tengo que preaparar todo para pasar al otro modulo del infoor. Decidi dejar de aplicar HST y apliqué una recnica con colgantes que bajan las ramas y las mantienen perpendiculares al piso. De esta forma las ramas laterales empiezan a subir. Está técnica me ha dado muy buenos resultados anteriormente. El crecimiento ha sido acelerado y las ramas estan bastante gruesas. Mañana voy a cambiar la solución. Vengo realmente contento con los resultados. Este experimento me va a permitir saber cuanto puedo llegar a sacar de este espacio y ver si me permite armar un ciclo para poder llegar a la próxima cosecha con remanente para poder ir guardando variedades diferentes. De paso ya tengo una referencia de cuantas semanas toma hasta poder cortar esquejes, y así saber en que momento poner la próxima semilla. Puse unas semillas bastardas que tenía, y las pienso mandar a la terraza a florecer directamente en el invierno. Otra experiencia que si bien no ha dado grandes resultados, ha sumado al stock. La semana pasada no llegué a subir mucho. Pero mañana hago un update de cómo se han movido las ramas bajas. En el último video se muestran bien las ramas que pretendo convertir en esquejes. Seguro saque varios, así que habrá para regalar si logramos que enraizen varios. De por cierto las manchas blancad que se ven, es tierra de distomeas que ha quedado desde la aplicación en 2da semana. Día 28. Termina la 4ta semana de crecimiento con un muy buen ritmo. Hoy cambié la solución y mantuve la formulación anterior (1g/L de feeding grow y 0,5g/L de green jungle bioestimulante de crecimiento). La planta está fuerte y ramificada. Sostengo que los esquejes se van a cortar un poco antes de lo previsto. Calculando que son 5 semanas de crecimiento y 1 semana de enraizamiento de esquejes, voy a tomar 6 semanas para preparar la próxima madre. Así que siendo esta variedad de unas 10/11 semanas de flora, voy a poner a crecer la nueva madre en la 4ta semana de floración. La planta tiene distancia internodal corta/media por lo que observo, así que es un detalle a tener en cuenta. Ya me empieza a dar la ansiedad de ver que todo va saliendo y quiero ya poder pasar a floración. Va a ser jna nueva experiencia hacer una planta desde semilla en hidroponía, ya que siempre hacía sólo esquejes y la madre la pasaba a tierra a florar en otro lado, debido a que por las raíces no podía sacarla del sistema que tengo ahora. Pero resolví eso y voy a ver por primera vez la potencia de la hidroponia en una planta desde semilla. Le hice corte apical a las dos ramas más largas esperando ver una mayor ramificación, ya que tengo un espacio de 1,2m x 0,55m por llenar y administrar. Espero que todo siga en marcha. Nos vemos en la 5ta semana desde mañana.

Outside in 7 gal fabric pots, they’re stretching out and over 3 feet tall now. Tons of bud sites, probably another couple of weeks before the preflowers start to show sex. Gone out of town for a few days, so I rigged up a hose timer to flood the kiddie pool once a day and just let the plants soak it up from the bottom.

the cutting time has arrived!! It's time to taste it, it smells really good, but not at all like the fresh plant, I'm a little disappointed.. after drying and curing, the variety smells like bananas, very ripe yellow fruit, with an earthy and sweet background!! it's very round in the mouth, very sweet and resinous, but there's some rubbish in the taste, on the exhilaration it's a bit acrid.. I missed the drying, the heads are compact but cottony... I will succeed better next time!! see you

well well well, weed masters. here we are !!!! ..... we have come to the end of another fantastic experience !!! I begin by telling you that I just broke my single plant crop record ... grown outside for all its vegetation and then integrated into a very small tent of just 80 centimeters, in the company of 4 other plants! fantastic reaction to every stress ... he pulled up on his way like a fucking tractor and at the end of the race he was able to satisfy me decently determining the right balance between quality and quantity .... I will definitely try other great beans from this serious company

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations.
