Day 36 flowering: Good afternoon growmies. This week has been a dream to watch happen , each of the plants has really put effort onto stacking the buds and getting into light positive positions. Six-shooter is the pygmy still unhappy been moved under the tsl2000 now so will get more direct light. I did a light defol on her to lose the bushiness she was showing. it is easier to see her potential now and I can work towards keeping her in productive phase. She jas some nice stacking already with very shaggy looking bud structures, should make an interesting finish. Strawberry Pie has continued to push budlets out all over the place. she does have fairly long node gaps and filling them out will be a task but i feel she will be more clumps of buds on stems than the donkey dick colas. Mexican Airline is pushing for star of the grow withbjer efforts. She has really took off now and her many many buds are starting to gain a great size for early flowering and stacking up really well too. its early days but i think she will be the plant to beat for yield... They are feeding really well and I amended the living soil this week with some charge and life-cycle. This should support life in the pots and further nute production alongside the megacrop/shogun . I am trying to find a balance using l.o.s and megacrop to keep them both actively feeding rather than the los "switching off" from the additional added. Megacrop is not a usual sodium based fertilised and is root ready as it hits the pot so shouldn't hang around in the soil like others would. I donhabe slight lead burn from the strength so will pull back on dosage a little. I do love how willing Fast buds autos are to go big ! The next weeks will be interesting to watch I hope now we are getting to the juicy bits. Who doesn't love a mid/late flowering cycle.? lol Be safe and well growmies

Burned tips on clones too... Lot of plain rain water for everyone! Anyway, buds look great : they're long and get fatter. I tried a wet sample in vaporizer yesterday : it tasted bad but it was potent enough to put a smile on my face... 😋 So I removed a few popcorn buds and put them to dry : it's covered with trichromes and it smells good. I'll vaporize this dry sample later, no doubt it'll taste better.

Nothing wild this week. Just making small adjustments with the light. It's a bigger light than I'm used to so just keeping an eye out. 2 seedlings had the shell attached after 5 days so just used some small tweezers and gently got em off. Everything is as normal as you can expect in the first 7 days. Will start adding a little grow big next week.

I am not home at the moment so I have someone taking care of my girls. The quality of the video is a bit grainy because of WhatsApp, sorry about that. She is still getting the same amount of nutes, but i will up the flowering nutes because of the yellowing of the lower leaves.

Just started this one off... Not much to say so far. This is a coco grow. I started off with an amended Coco using Gaia Green 4-4-4 and power bloom 2-8-4.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. She has a getting very close. I feel the next post will be chop. This week has been pretty easy really. She won’t make much but a few big bong loads is no more than I expected from 200 ML of dirt. It has been an adventure!! Now to slow down and let the big girls thrive. This little plant has been watered and checked 3-4 times daily for a while. I may do a tiny pot or solo cup grow again for fun though.. I honestly learned a lot from an extremely root bound tiny plant. I have been away from growing for 20 years to raise my kids free. Now I am legal and learning LED. It has been a fun year.

Day 63 - 28 of Flower Changes this week include adding a 4th Maxibright 315w lamp and Agro bulb. I wanted to run 4 but originally could only afford to buy 3. These retail at £250 each per kit so theres now £1000 just in lighting. A huge improvement to overall light spread around the plants and more light penetrating the canopy to the lower bud sights. I've also spent the weekend insulating my space for 2 reasons. Obviously temperature fluctuations being one. I found the temps were anywhere between 17 and 31 degrees throughout a 24 hour cycle and wanted to get a more consistent day and night temperature. With the extra light it needs to be cooler too. 2nd reason was humidity. With the great British weather being as damp as it is the night time humidity has been over 75% some days which now we are deep into flower could quickly lead to bud rot. Insulating the space and running my exterior AC unit has now got that figure to below 56% at all times. I'm very happy with that. Feeding ratio remains unchanged this week. I'm going to continue running the PK13/14 for at least another 7 days or untill the buds finish fattening out. Still feeding 6 litres every other day. No further training at this point just pulling a few colas out of the way of the fan and one main cola from directly under a lamp as it was burning. Also stretch has now finished which is a massive relief as I've no headspace left in the tent at all. I didn't have time to take many photos of the buds in the dark but the ones I have put on show just how frosty these stardawgs get! Really living up to their name considering they are only half way through predicted flower time. The only further upgrade I would like at this point is a proper co2 with digital regulator. I have however read that they dont benefit much from extra co2 from this point onwards?? What is everyone's thoughts on that? Obviously I have my natural co2 generator and will leave it in untill the end of the grow. I realise I really underestimated the size of these plants and 6 sativa dominant species is a stupid idea. The tent is just too packed so on the next run I'll opt for less and go with a scrog. Thanks for checking in! I cant wait to see how the next week plays out.

Plant is way heavy i dont do a trim when wet so i dont weigh it when its first chop. Will weigh when dry get a good weigh in. This stuff has a strong lemon smell but also tries to take ur breath with something else. Will be interesting cant wait must be patient. Do my drying in 60°f and 60% rh for 14 days or close to. Looks so juicy like disco balls!!!
