A big hello to all the cannabis growing gardeners...and all the other visitors that came across my grow journal. This week i need to change the reservoir again, the plants drink solution just as I add fresh water the EC stays at 2.7 and i need to add PK and Calmag so that's why. The weather outside is very cold this whole week around -18 degree Celsius at night...this made my reservoir water go under 15 degree Celsius. Since i ran the Spider Farmer UV lights i noticed some purples on my cannabis plants i think it's their doing....i run it now for two weeks the UVs ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The SE 7000 is hanged at 40 cm. over the canopy and runs at 520W. This whole grow's main sponsor is Spider Farmer. You can easily obtain all the great grow equipment we use at: spider-farmer.com A big thank you to Jessie and the whole Spider Farmer crew for supporting me with the newest technological advancements in horticulture. End of Week 15 (8th week of flower) Still cruising, everything has been running very smoothly and the smell is just undoubtedly off the charts. The ladies are showing off some colour and are fading naturally bringing out hues of orange and purple. I also noticed that the leaves and buds closest to the lights are showing significantly more colour that the ones that are further away. The colas are also getting heavy and there are some side colas that are hanging and needed to be reinforced to keep them upright. (This is a good thing obviously) I know I said I would start the flush (not giving any more nutrients/top-ups) but I decided to give them a small dose of Boom Bloom just to give the ladies that final boost. I boosted them in the middle of the week and the flush has begun after that. Only water from now until harvest. Pest Report: None Smell Report: HEAVEN

Ladies still drink a lot of water, 3,4 L every 48 hours. Main cola flowers are getting big, side colas less but still 2 weeks to go so hopefully they will continue. The lady in the front, plant and buds have another aspect then the other 2. All of them are cherry cola. Also had some issues with her during veg phase and she began flowering earlier.

They’re looking extremely healthy..gave em their first nute feed with the last watering seem to be doing fairly well..fimmed the GG and LST. Did not touch the unkown as it looks smaller to be the same age. Running GHE base line with few extra supplements. ****UPDATE**** Both are LST’d..might rethink the way I tie them. Going for a “coil” type look, we’ll see though. They’re looking great! Hoping for females!

So let's talk trichomes, those magical little sparklers on our beloved plants. I'm here to share some fun and easy insights about these tiny wonders that make our hearts skip a beat. Trichomes, oh trichomes, you magnificent beings! These tiny structures are like the dazzling diamonds of the cannabis world. They're like little factories that produce cannabinoids, terpenes, and other magical compounds that give our plants their unique characteristics. Now, picture this: You're gazing at your Tropicana Cookies Auto from Fast Buds, and oh boy, those trichomes are like an army of shining soldiers, standing tall and proud! They're like a disco party, sparkling in the light and stealing the show. The importance of trichomes goes beyond their mesmerizing appearance. They're like the guardians of goodness, housing all the good stuff we love in cannabis. These beauties are packed with cannabinoids like THC and CBD, which give us those desired effects. And let's not forget about the enchanting terpenes, those aromatic molecules that create the delightful flavors and aromas we cherish. You know what's fascinating? The number of trichomes on a plant can be mind-boggling! It's like trying to count stars in the sky. So many tiny little heroes, each contributing their magic to the overall experience. But here's the kicker: Trichomes aren't just there for show. They serve a purpose too! They protect the plant from predators, like a fortress of sticky goodness. They can make pests stick and deter them from munching on our precious buds. It's like having a secret weapon in the battle against unwanted visitors. So, my fellow growers, when you see those trichomes dancing and shimmering on your Tropicana Cookies Auto, rejoice! It's a sign that your plant is thriving and producing some top-notch goodness. Keep a close eye on them as they reach their peak, and get ready for a delightful harvest filled with potency and flavor. Remember, the world of trichomes is a fascinating one, filled with wonder and excitement. Embrace these tiny marvels, cherish their contribution, and enjoy the journey as you cultivate your own cannabis masterpiece. Wishing you a trichome-filled adventure, my friends! Keep growing, keep shining, and let the magic unfold. Cheers to your Tropicana Cookies Auto and the abundance of trichomes that make her shine bright like a diamond! https://lumatek-lighting.com/ <3 <3 <3 Growers love to you all <3 <3 <3 Tropicana Cookies Auto is the perfect variety for growers of all levels, especially beginners as this strain performs very well outdoors and indoors, and can produce up to 500gr/m2 in 56-63 days without needing extra maintenance. Reaching up to 110cm, this strain grows fairly tall with medium-sized branching, showing its mixed heritage. Definitely the right choice for those with a high tolerance looking to get their hands on the strongest autoflowers out there. Thanks to the 27% THC, you can expect an extremely powerful and long-lasting high that’ll boost your mood and give you that extra push you need to start your days on the right foot. This variety offers the whole range of citrusy and woody flavors with a strong candy-sweet background that will keep you coming back for more and more. Bud description Tropicana Cookies Auto produces gorgeous dark purple flowers, so expect really dark buds with gorgeous hues of pink, purple and blue, and thick dark-orange hairs that get completely covered in resin by harvest time, giving them an almost shiny-white appearance. This variety develops a typical Indica-like structure and very few sugar leaves that will make your trimming sessions a breeze. But make sure to store your trimmings as the gorgeous flowers reek of a mouth-watering blend of lemon peels, orange juice, and sandalwood that gives it almost a citrus candy-like flavor that makes for the most aromatic hash and extractions.Smoke report Thanks to the 27% THC, Tropicana Cookies Auto’s effect starts with an energizing head rush that gets your mind up and running while leaving you in a nice calm state. As the Indica-dominant side kicks in, the powerful cerebral effect gradually moves downwards and hits your whole body with a deep relaxation that leaves you with a joyful stoney sensation that alleviates chronic pain while leaving you in an overall happy and positive state of mind. It’s the perfect daytime and nighttime strain as it can boost your mood and enhance a night out with friends but can also quiet your mind as you get ready for a good night of sleep. No matter the scenario, expect a powerful high that lasts for hours on end.Plant appearance Tropicana Cookies Auto reaches up to 110cm and develops a tall main cola with shorter side branches, typical of hybrid strains. You can expect a stocky yet tall main cola with medium-sized side branches and thin fan leaves that fade into a yellowish hue with a beautiful dark purple tint. Thanks to the excellent selection, this variety develops a short internodal spacing that makes the medium-sized flowers look like they’re growing stacked on top of each other. It’s the ideal choice for growers who want to get big yields without having to deal with huge plants, as this monster yielder can produce up to 150g per plant while growing relatively short. Grow tips This variety grows super dense buds so make sure to space out the branches by tying them down, this way you improve airflow which helps prevent mold and other pests. Tropicana Cookies auto reek of a delicious sweet and sour smell so make sure to flush thoroughly to enhance the aromas even more. This terpene heavyweight finishes with lots of resinous sugar leaves that make for fantastic hash and extractions so remember to have your trim bucket ready!Flavor Tropicana Cookies Auto boasts remarkably sweet flavors that resemble a blend of lemon peels and fresh orange juice, with subtle floral undertones that make it the perfect choice for extractors looking for unique terpene profiles. Expect an overall citrusy zest that’ll coat your whole mouth and leave a delicious tropical candy-like flavor aftertaste. The sweet and sour flavors get balanced out with a herbal background that gets stronger as you exhale and gradually opens up, bringing out the whole range of woody, floral, and spicy flavors, making it the perfect choice for the most flavorful extracts

FBA2502 Week 3 April 13-19 Veg 2 This week I introduced nutrients to the watering schedule. My planned feed schedule will be to feed, feed, water each week until the time to flush. , adjusting nutrients per the growth cycle. Hopefully this will keep from overfeeding and reduce salt build up in the soil. Nutrients: I will be using General Hydroponics Flora line at ½ feed rate and Cal mag throughout this grow. My tap water measures 8.3-8.5 so even after adding nutrients, I have to PH down my feed solution. Regarding nutrients, I’ve tried Fox Farm, TPS1, Plagron and now General Hydroponics. What I am looking for is organic, ease of use, minimal individual bottles that will yield large, dense sticky buds that hit hard in effect. Plants range in height from 5-7” except #1 which has been pinned to the soil. I will try wrapping her around the perimeter of the pot. Since she leaned over, I pinned her down and have been anchoring along the rim, twisting the stem so the node is on the side or top rather than underneath. I don’t think she likes training since the stems are a bit floppy. They are all still in veg, bushy with large indica leaves. I’ve been tucking the large leaves under the bud sites to give more light under the canopy. I’m tempted to top one of the bigger plants to have a comparison on resistance and final yield. This week I made a short video for each 2502 tester and a pic or 2. GH Flora Micro ½ tsp /gal Gro ½ tsp /gal Bloom ½ tsp /gal Fox CalMag ½ tsp /gal PPM 573 & 715 when I added Plagrons Royal Rush 4ml. PH 6.7 Temp 65 Your likes and comments are appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. Growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫

Transplanted to 40l container on week 4 day 1. Container has approx 30l in it. Also added a photo of the setup for size reference. Let me explain my thinking behind the repotting strategy. Firstly I should say that I am quite an old school kind of grower, although I've never grown cannabis before I have grown hundreds of other plants. Due to my experience with other plants, I understand the value of well planned and executed transplants, they can have an absolutely transformative effect upon root systems when done properly, as far as I know it's the main reason why they are done at all. It is fair to say I have never grown any auto-flowering plant indoors before, and I have read all about how you should not transplant autos, and all the good reasons why not. Ultimately though, as I am not called UnorthadoxDude for nothing, I believe that I can make it work with an auto, and get the benefit of improved root growth pattern, without delaying or interrupting the growth. I want to have my cake and eat it, as it were. So the strategy is to avoid transplant shock, which admittedly I have already failed in the first unplanned transplant, but in my hopeful naivety I still believe I can make the second one work! I'm using coco, and I have had the larger pot prepared and have been watering and feeding them as well as the plant. If I am careful not to disturb the plant at all, and move the entire contents of the pot gently into the larger pot (which is exactly the same medium in broadly the same state), then I may be able to avoid shocking the plant and just let it crack on. We will find out in a few days! If it stops growing or slows at all then I failed, otherwise it worked! A note about my use of organic nutes with coco. I have read a lot about coco and nutes and microbes and PH and TDS and what have you, and I know that the overwhelming majority of people believe that you can't or at least shouldn't use organic nutes with coco. The thing is, I like organic gardening, I prefer to cultivate a beneficial microbiota and keep it healthy. I recycle, and reuse all my compost except where a plant is diseased and this has worked well for me for a long time. I've never grown with coco before though, I always used soil. I wanted to gain the benefits of coco (better drainage, more air to roots, lighter, less inviting to pests, etc) - but I wanted to use a method of nutrition that I was already familiar with. I think I've mentioned that I am not called UnorthadoxDude for nothing, so I am using BioBizz and coco. By adding bacterial, mycorrhizal, and trichoderma inoculants and having the unplanted coco in the tent being fed and watered I hope to have cultivated a nice microbiota which will feed my plant. That's the theory. However just in case, I have a trick up my sleeve. Now, I do not know if you are aware of this, but there is a fiery debate raging on the internet about using BioBizz organic nutes with coco for cannabis. Some people try it, most people shout it down, and I have not found much in the way of solid evidence of it being a good idea. Except one! I found a commercial grower that has used biobizz nutes, and he said that as long as you are using "Acti-Vera" you can use anything from the BioBizz organic range. Apparently the enzymes in the mix break down nutes chemically in a similar way to what the theoretically missing microbes do. So I have ordered a bottle of that, and if my microbial cultivation attempts don't work out, I at least know I have a fallback that should work. Those are my thoughts on it, let's see how it pans out. Oh I should also probably point out that I am growing some companion plants, specifically alfalfa (nitrogen fixing), basil (improved flavour), and German Chamomile (increased essential oil production). Update week 4 day 2 dropped PH to 5.8 after advice from a grow question. Look! It's carried on growing... maybe there was no transplant shock? Update week 4 day 3: Growth continues, interveinal chlorosis lessening. Plant is pushing out node five at the moment. Update week 4 day 4: Growth continues, interveinal chlorosis further lessening. Apologies for the poor quality photos for the last few days, I was lazy and didn't want to move everything out to photograph. Today I have done that and the pic is better. I am declaring the second transplant a complete success. I do not believe that plant was in any way shocked. Update week 4 say 5: I think I've finally managed to overwater. Going to skip watering today. Update week 4 day 6: Photo taken just before lights on hence wilting. Growth continues to accelerate. I believe the alfalfa has been raising the PH so I've removed it. Today I will flush through with PH lowered water and then fertigate. The colour is still too pale but the growth and overall look and feel of the plant screams to me that it's happy and about to explode. Day 27.5 flushed with 30l of PH lowered water then fertigated with 5l. Day 28: Height 12cm Width: 28cm Nodes: 6 Weekly growth data: From 5cm Height to 12cm +140% From 12cm Width to 28cm +133% From 4 primary nodes to 6 +50% Summary: Wow, wow. Wow. What else can I say. What a crazy week, amazing and unexpected given the problems. I am really excited to see what happens over the next seven days!! It looks like it has quite severe chlorosis, but otherwise seems robust and is seriously stretching. Almost unbelievable growth. Pre-flowers appeared a few days ago, so I guess this was the final week of veg. Let's see how the first week of flowering stretch goes! Update 7/2/23: My instincts about this plant on week 4 day 6 were absolutely correct, she was happy and, she was about to explode. Since my early attempts at transplanting, I practiced multiple times with Citronella (a photoperiod plant) and then I did it again with an auto (Polly) - this one went flawlessly and further demonstrates that you can transplant an auto without shocking it. Time will tell, because I can compare Polly to both Misty and Nesia both of whom were sown directly in their final pots.
