18/06: Week 5 – early bloom stage confirmed! 🌱➡️🌸
We're entering week 5 with EC 1.6 and pH 5.8. The very first white pistils have emerged, confirming the transition into early flowering. The recent vertical surge was likely boosted by Far-Red and IR spectrum effects, along with enhanced metabolism from the CO₂ generator. From here, the plants will start shifting energy from stretch to flower production. Environmental control (especially RH and VPD) is now crucial to avoid early bloom issues. LST is being finalized as structure sets in.
21/06: We're now at day 31 since germination, and the flowering phase is clearly underway. Based on the canopy photo, the plants are thriving: a lush, uniform green with no signs of nutrient stress. Buds are starting to stack up nicely, and the foliage remains sturdy and intact.
EC has been bumped up to 1.8 this week to support early bloom demands — especially for phosphorus and potassium — and the plants are handling it smoothly. No burnt tips or discoloration, indicating stable nutrient uptake. With environmental parameters dialed in through the GGS controller, everything's in sync. Onward to some serious bud building.
22/06: Stretch is in full swing — the girls are reaching hard, and I’ve had to raise the lights multiple times over the last few days. They’re now hovering just 10 cm above the canopy, delivering 1200 PPFD at 38 °C. We're truly pushing the physiological limit here.
Dropping the lights any closer isn’t an option — cooling is maxed out, and more intensity = more heat. The only adjustable variable left would be CO₂ reduction, which I’d rather avoid at this stage. So far, no visible stress signs, but I’m watching them closely.
Water uptake is intense — 100L in just 5 days. I refilled today (rather than a full res change) to prevent air pocket formation. Slightly bumped up the EC to temper the stretch. If things keep going vertical, some LST may soon be necessary — a few tops are practically kissing the diodes.

Impressive how this plant managed to grow despite the few hours of light .. I guess what it could do with a better season than this year (there has been a lot of rains) and in a place where it grows with constant light.. anyway I am very happy with her, I would also say proud of how the growth went.
In the last few weeks, as you can see, the plant has suffered an attack by caterpillars that have eaten some of its leaves in a short time, the plant has remained very strong anyway. I tried to remove them manually until they disappeared completely
Before proceeding with the cut, I put the plant in the dark for 48 hours, further stressing it by shocking the roots with ice cubes. I've never used these two methods, but I've heard a lot about them. some say it is useless while others say that these methods work to increase the production of trichomes and terpenes. We'll see, I'll share my experience with you as always.

🐱 The girls are behaving beautifully, color is uniform no issues whatsoever.. they do seem a little on the small side to me for week 6 but I might be staring too closely lol.. the new growth (at topping points) is approx. 1.5inch now. We cleaned bare the undersides of all plants (bottom 1/3) in preparation for flower..right or wrong we always start introducing mild bloom nutrients about a week before flower (I'd love to hear some opinions on this practice)..I think we'll start flower in week 8 but ultimately I'm going by the length of new growth, I'd like the new tops to be kinda long after their flowering stretch..thanks for reading if you made it this far and happy harvests everyone!!! ❤️💡🌱😽💨

She is much prettier than she was a week ago :) I remembered that I have my first grow light, which is more compact and it will give me more space, so I changed my light, now the girl's side branches get light too:) I add a lot of video memes, because I really want to win Iphone16 pro ;) and those who don't take risks don't drink champagne:) good luck to everyone.

July 13, 2020 update.
The outdoor girls are smaller, but starting to put out much more trichome development. The indoor girls are larger and have more nodes and bud sites, but not as much trichome development, although the bud sites look super healthy. You will also notice some bug damage on the outdoor ladies. I posted a question here on GD and liked the advice I received from @Nor_Cal_Kannabliss and have ordered some Doctor Zymes Eliminator to see if that helps. I did previously spray with Safer End-All and do notice the damage getting worse since then. By the way, Doctor Zymes Eliminator is supposed to be effective against spider mites and spider mite eggs (wish I knew about this stuff a few months ago).
Still feeding at 75% strength from the Fox Farm schedule. Also, I defoliated this week to allow better light penetration.

I turned the autopots on Monday and the plants are really thriving. They are growing super fast and the soil mix seems to be performing well. They have just had pH 6.4 water from the water reservoir. I have tied and bent them twice since Monday but they bouce back so fast. I have also turned in th airdomes , buried at the bottom of the pots this week, so let's see what they can do. Plenty of defoliation to expose lower branches , it always amazes me how quick the removed leaves are replaced by little tops.
Day two flower more pictures added. Loads of defoliating this week and tied them all down again yesterday.

What a great start in the flowerstage, thats why i love growing so much. The super lemon haze that i got is a super pheno, i hope the buds will be amazin like the grow.
