Bubble Kush and her training were not going very well. This week, basically I fimmed the plant last week. And it had just grown straight upwards, and that's not what I really wanted. Due to that, I have decided to super crop the main stem again. Like I did with my Acapulco Gold and that worked really well. It just went absolutely crazy after I did that. So I'm hoping that it'll do the same thing with my precious Bubble Kush. She is my last seed, and I really wanna try and make the most out of her so with that in mind, I super cropped her. She's doing really well and I'm so glad that I did. Here is what I did this week. Date of super crop: 11.9.25. 12.9.25: I watered with 4L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 with; 💜 4ml Flourish PH: 6.5 PPM: 308 The fungus gnats have really incresed since I did a watering of the whole tent. I have some more sticky traps set out, and I will not water for several days. Once it has dried the top soil, I will add some more Diatomaceous Earth to the top 5cm. They are beginning to really annoy me. So lets hope I can get them under control here. arvest Report – Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto The grow is finished. The Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto had a tough spot right from the start. Growing in the shadow of the large Black Muffin photoperiod plant and getting only 12 hours of light instead of the usual 18–20 hours for an automatic, she couldn’t fully unfold her potential. Still, she pushed through and developed a nice layer of trichomes. The buds smell and taste great, offering a smooth mix of citrus notes and sweetness. Considering the conditions, I’m happy with the result.

The second week of vegetation is over and watching the plant grow is a rewarding experience for me. Now that the plant is well-established, it is time to begin training it. This involves LST to ensure it reaches its full potential in this case. I look forward to discovering what this plant will become 😋😊

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Week 6 Report The plants are thriving with strong growth and great color. Day 39: The last feed of the vegetative phase—1L of water per plant. At this stage, they’ve absorbed everything really well, and this marks the final watering before transitioning to the flowering phase. Day 40: Defoliation day! I decided to give the 3 FullGas plants a proper trim, removing excess foliage to improve airflow and light penetration. These are the only plants that haven’t been topped so far, and they're responding well to this treatment. Day 41: Final day of the vegetative phase. All the plants have grown beautifully and are ready for the next chapter. They look healthy, strong, and vigorous. The plants are growing at a good pace, with no major issues. The Athena nutrients continue to work wonders, really boosting their health and growth. Some of the leaves are showing signs of thrips, but it’s nothing to worry about. Overall, everything looks great.

These girls are really close to being finished. Some will be done in the next day or so as others still have a week. They're definitely sweet and fruity smelling. Didn't get as tall as I would have liked them but the flowers are super dense and chunky.

🌱 Week 3 – Gorilla Cookies Auto Pheno Hunt Another week down and the differences between the phenos are becoming more obvious every day 👀🔥 The environment stayed very stable this week with temperatures, humidity, and VPD remaining consistent. Because all plants are growing under the exact same conditions, it’s really interesting to see how differently each phenotype develops genetically. 📈 Current observations: Several phenos are already reaching close to 30 cm in height Meanwhile, some smaller phenos — especially Pheno #6 — are still around 13 cm Leaf structure and overall plant shape continue to vary a lot between phenos Growth vigor is clearly different from plant to plant now 💧 Feeding & maintenance: This week the plants received their first proper feeding with around 4 liters of nutrient water. Some phenos seem to react more sensitively to the nutrients, as a few plants are starting to show slight brown leaf tips, so I’ll keep a close eye on them over the next days 👀 I also removed more large fan leaves to improve light penetration and allow the lower branches to develop more evenly. 📊 Current environment: Temperature stable around 26°C Humidity staying between 63–65% VPD maintained around 1.3 kPa Light intensity remaining at 35% Now I’m really curious to see when the first flowering signs will appear 🌸🔥 💬 Which pheno would you pick so far?

This is the beginning of each week. So I flushed them and switched nutrients. They were mag deficient, nitro toxic. Not PH actually. I'm adding co2 next week after I seal the room. I think I need to back the PAR down to 800 but they are still alive and it's over half way done. How any more weeks? I thought this was a 65 day auto. Hydro in a 5 gallon pot could add up to three weeks I heard with Autos. could these go 12 weeks total?

The grow was really easy and without any problems. The brunches were so heavy that the lady got bent to the side a bit. Totally sticky fat buds with a strong and sweet smell. I‘m really looking forward the dried and cured result. Really happy about that strain.

The LUSH soil is providing plenty of nutrients. Some of the girls have remnants of the burn. I'll get em taken care of in two weeks. When I do the last small defol. I believe my bx ibl skunk ( by my company Arkainjenetics ) . is a male ! So pros and cons. Pros. It's short. Which is awesome and what I was going for. Stem smell is strong. And it handled my Nute burn and topping like a champ. So I deem him worth of his seed. ( His pollen ) 😂. I'm working on where I want him to go. I don't want him to go into the 4*4. Cuz I'm starting my next grow in there. I bought a 3*3*72 but I'm realizing I don't need that big of a space for one plant. ( Cus the 3*3 is still in its box I didn't want to put it together for just one plant.). And I need to get all the right equipment for the 3x3 still. But that's for another diary lol
