What is good fellow gardeners,
So our jungle tour has come to an end and what can I say, it was a joyful ride in all ways. It had it’s ups and downs like many of my other grows but I still think growing is the best hobby.
This last week we let the last two girls ripen completely and at the end of the week we harvested them.
This time the drying took place in several stages, which turned out to be a good idea.
First we hung them up for 3 days with leaves then trimmed and let them dry again for another 8 days. The scents and aromas were preserved in their perfect state which was the basis for the later smooth smoke experience.
After an overall problem-free vegetative stage, there were some minor hiccups during the flowering period. We lost quite a few large flowers due to bud rot. The oscillation function of the fan broke precisely during the last critical period of flowering, which could obviously have contributed to this.
There was a slight light leak at the zipper which may have caused stress to the first two plants. That’s why they had to be taken down 2 weeks earlier than the other two. Trichomes were fully milky with a few clear so wasn’t a big issue tho.
This two showed similar characteristics in terms of taste and bud structure. A sweet and spicy taste with a hint of chocolate. Buds are dense and rock hard.
One pheno turned out deep purple and had a bit slightly burnt sweet fruit cake taste. Buds are solid and rock hard.
The last pheno is more spongy yet hard but not really compact. This one has the most sweet and fruity taste with a well balanced high.
I would recommend this strain for those who loves fruity varieties. However sometimes can be hard to manage during flowering.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for this jungle trip. Also for likes and comments. Growers love and see you soon!
