GSC (& Sour Diesel - tentmate) seem to be growing with very healthy green growth. Responding well to light 1/3 to 1/4 recommended dose of Fox Farm nutes. Sour Diesel, which was much smaller and had weak trunk stem as seedling is slowly catching up to GSC.

For the last day of the year we treat ourselves to the story of a special little girl. Her name is Biscotti, her name already says it all about the potential of this young girl born in Holland with this beautiful Italian Strain Name, she is precious and full of style since conception. She looks like she was designed by Pininfarina who smokes joints. It's a bit as if Gianni Versace had dressed her, extravagant, provocative, truly flamboyant, if you have the patience to look at the thousand photos that I made clear that I literally couldn't stop taking. It's a journey I don't want to leave, especially when I'm in the middle of it. terpenes, please leave me there! She grew up quietly, with her small internodal distance you could see that she was beautiful even without flowers, but it was when she flowered that she truly gave her best. Already from the first weeks of flowering you can understand very very well that the girl has a bright color and she threw resin very early thanks to Power Buds, Sugar Royal and Green Sensation in my opinion. The flowers have an imposing shape, they really are beautiful little purple beasts just in the dry room, for a few days soon we will do an initial test and then we will wait to taste it without too much fresh taste. I’m about sure to have rated 10 stars the strain and all feeding 5 stars but i found the strain rated 9 stars and the feeding 4, not sure but almost sure. I often get sad when I cut it, I'm too sad to cut it, I always think I'll smoke it and everything, but it's so beautiful that it makes my heart ache to cut it. It's her life cycle, otherwise she would rot for goodness sake, it's a joke but I really have a moment of shock in her heart. She'll move on to the first vaporized one I guess. Technique used - She was worked with a. single topping cut but leaving the two branches lower than the cut, thus obtaining 4 main branches with the relative branches. I also did a bit of LST at the beginning but having space problems then I decided not to let it expand too much. Flowers are beautiful beasts for truly yummi. Fertilizers - We have to make a special mention of Plagron I wrote a review in this diary which only partially explains how good this line of fertilizers is. I feel like I saw with my own eyes the changes in the plants when I gave the additives, I really saw the plants push in resin and everything. For more information read the review, I don't like to be repetitive, I don't write the quantities, they are also in the diary and in any case very similar to those recommended by the manufacturer. Never exceed this with any fertilizer and always flush. 2/4: Photo session day! The big one is growing a few inches per day..that shit needs to stop soon or I'll have to supercrop her lovely branches.. Soooperunt is now as tall as the second sister, but not as bushy. All three are slow to flower, like the #11's. I had a total infestation of Cattus (felis) which I documented in my photos. Eradication seems impossible, so I'm opting to allow a degree of predation, but hoping trichome production will, at least, deter them soon.😁 2/5: I fed everybody today with about 3/4 gallon each and sprayed them down with Axiom harpin proteins for the last time this run. I made a DIY CO2 generator today using a 5 gallon cat litter bucket, a small aquarium pump, some air line tubing, and a bubble stone, plus 6 cups of sugar and 30 grams of wine yeast in 2 gallons of warm water. I put the tube where the CO2 is exhausted up against the back of the oscillating fan that aims down over the plants so they are being constantly forcefully bombarded with high levels of CO2(1300+ppm) from above. I set the ac infinity controller to allow the temps to climb up to 89f before the fan turns on. 2/6: These girls are a much darker shade of green than anybody else in the garden. I bought some Gro-Pro pot risers to elevate the pots so that they will dry out faster..seem pretty effective. 2/7: I'm only seeing a few pistils popping here and there on these girls. I expected them (and the other mostly indica strains) to be moving along faster at this point. Not sure if they are happy with such a short nap every day.. I foliar fed with big bloom and tiger bloom today. 2/8: I ordered a second 6" AC Infinity fan to connect to my controller, some ducting, and a diffuser which I'll mount to the wall, down near the floor. The fan unit will be in another closet, adjacent to the garden closet, and I'll run ducting up through that closet ceiling into the attic, with a filter on the end to keep bugs and particulates out. For the next 6 weeks or so, it will provide a supply of colder fresh air. I did the math, and it will now only take about 1 minute and 40 seconds to completely exchange the air in the closet. Depending on the outside air temp at the time, it should take anywhere between 8 and 20 minutes for the closet to heat back up to 80f and the fans to kick back on again. This Spring, on days when it's warmer than 72f outside, I'll disconnect the duct in the closet and stretch it into that bedroom, clipped to the window unit air conditioner output, cranked down as low as it will go. This Summer, I'm gonna just run a pair of the quantum boards and grow 4 or 5 autos in there, but this should help keep the temps cooler in summer as well, without dedicating an air conditioner to the grow op.🙏 2/9: I foliar fed them with grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom and checked moisture in their pots. They're due for a good watering tomorrow.

So i went trough a heatwave wich made her drink a lot, only top leaves got a bit torched the buds are very dense and heavy

Day 64 🌤️🌥️☁️☁️ 11-19 degrees and the humidity is around 65%. I started into the tenth week with an intense check of the main buds. Some of the trichomes are milky but the most are still clear. Maybe I‘m wrong. Some days ago I could spot some amber trichomes but the flowers expanded and it‘s not possible to find anymore amber ones. Watered 500ml pure rainwater. Day 65 🌤️☁️🌥️☁️ Today Tropicana needs a rest. She just want to sit and do nothing except waiting for sunshine warming her heart. In the evening she asked for water, potting soil lost enough weight. 600ml with 60ml light fermented flower and herb tee. ~100 ml drainage with PH 6,2. In the main flower it was possible to find a small amount of amber trichomes. Day 66 🌤️⛅️🌤️🌤️ 10-21 degrees, humidity 45-65%. This morning I understood, that Tropicana was not thirsty yesterday, she need to breath oxygen with her roots to feel happy. The beautiful smell is way not so intense since last night. I missed the strong smell when I opened the door to our balcony in the early morning. So no watering yesterday would be better. And my banana peel tee is not free of nitrogen, same with the herb and flower tee. Less is more will be written in my diary in the next days (weeks). Watching Trichome TV: I see more amber and I see that she needs more time after all this stress which I made for her. She told me that she is not only sick of water, she told me, that she hate to be moved all the time, too. Every move from A to B she would loose tiny roots and this would stress her a lot. When I checked the moisture I spotted too many of this root fly castings. Their mamas and papas had their orgie about a week ago and now they are eating the mulch layer roots as if there will be no morning. This is not Tropicanas day. But the sun is shining and tomorrow will be another day. Hopefully with a nose full of this tasty fruity and woody citrus smell. Day 67 🌧️☁️☁️☁️ 13-19 degrees, humidity 42-80%. This morning the smell was more intensive like yesterday but still not like before. The leafs show the first signs of fading and I‘m very nervous. This night will fall a lot of rain for several hours. But a part of our balcony is canopied, so Tropicana will be a little bit protected by me this night. I don‘t want to make another mistake, so I use this possibility. Anyway the plants are always wet after a strong rain, it‘s just a little canopy, but not soaked with water. Day 68 🌧️☁️⛅️🌤️ 15-21 degrees and the humidity is 74-85%. Tropicana feels better. The smell this morning was much more intensive then the days before. Day 69 ⛅️🌤️🌥️☁️ 15-22 degrees, humidity 46-89%. Tropicanas flowers are swelling and while she is maturing her smell is getting more intense and complex. Right now mandarin and an earthy woody smell, sometimes even a bit sour like a mixture of pineapple and lime juice. It‘s possible to find new colors in the flowers. There’s purple and pink, orange and ocher brown appeared. Tropicanas main flower looks like the harvest time is near, but the trichomes are still clear and just started to get milky. Anyway she is incredible fast, especially if to remember the extrem conditions with minimal temperature around ten degrees in the early mornings. Day 70 🌧️☁️☁️🌧️ 17-23 degrees, humidity 63-94%. In the next days we will have humid thunderstorm weather. There is even a warning for huge hailstones for tomorrow. So there is a risk of damage and mold because of high humidity. I will have an eye on this. Tropicana looks healthy, so I‘m not worrying too much anymore.

week 9 - 1/25-2/1 Was going to harvest but its just absolutely not even close to ready... Going to try to make this work with limited space as every great grower would try.... I put it in 48 hours of darkness thinking iw as going to chop it but when i pciked it up i just couldnt have the heart to move forward and decided to turn the lights off... (i also fed right before 48 hours of dark because i was planning on keeping growing then decided fuck it lets chop b/c of a major setback while i was on vacation but now its experiment time!!!) ... lets see what happens! ASLO recipe called for NO CAL MAG but im adding 3 ML to the mix b/c i think itll help since im in coco... elts see

Finale week flush and all my kids ready to be chop gotta sent them in to the 48 of dark room for some rest did an ice flush as well for extra trichome which is pretty cool leaves almost turn all yellow now and trichome are half amber half cloudy

She has received a little water this week a gave her 100 ml of phd balanced water she has been recovering steadily under the natural sunlight so I will keep her there and play it by sight. I will wait until the pot drys a bit before I feed h

* ********* Week 3, April 25 to May 1, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination ********** * So we have been chugging along and doing well. Keeping the feeds in check and not given any waterings over 6.0pH before this week. By mid week when checking runoff numbers found they were flipping 7.2pH!!!!!! What is shooting up the numbers so high?? They were given some Epsom salt and not sure if they have been given too much magnesium. Wondering if it could be the pots? Watering patterns have not changed? Cut slits in the bottom of all the fabric pots to help with drainage and see if moisture is sitting in the bottom of the pot causing issues with pH??? They are doing well but not at the same time.....GSC girls seem a little show in veg growth at this stage. Little more detail....... April 25/20 - Day 15 - Mixed 1L of water with Vitathrive, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 700ppm and 6.0pH. - each girl given 0.5L feed. - humidity a little low at 52% and bumping up to 65% - light heights at 30” roughly right now. - GSC outer edges of leaves getting a little light. - GSC2 is forming a nice structure and new leaves are wider. April 26/20 - Day 16 - no real growth and the girls don’t look happy.......not sure of the issue? - mixed 2L water with Sensi CalMag @ 1.5ml. Sensyzime @ 2ml, Epsom Salt @ 1/4 tsp/L - GSC fighting magnesium deficiency so adding Epsom Salt, - increased light intensity a bit today. April 27/20 - Day 17 - dry out day - think the root zone is holding too much moisture and causing pH issue. - cut long slits in the bottom of the pots to let moisture run out faster/easier. - GSC has liked the increased lighting. - all the girls got clockwise rotation today. April 28/20 - Day 18 - Girl Scout girls given 3L watering with Vitrathrive @ 1.5ml = 100ppm and 5.1pH - runoff numbers: - GSC - 600ppm and 7.2pH - GSC2 - 475ppm and 7.2pH - pH is still too high!!!! - leaf colours on all the girls look good😳 April 29/20 - Day 19 - more runoff numbers to look at - Mixed 8L for each girl with Dual Fual @ 1.75ml - 325ppm and 5.0pH........each girl given this amount!!!! - Run off numbers: - GSC - in tray before feed was 7.2pH, brought down the pH to 7.0 and 525ppm - GSC2 - in tray before feed was 7.2pH, brought down the pH to 7.0 and 500ppm - now we see if the flush will help in the next couple of days. April 30/20 - Day 20 - dry out day - stems are looking thicker today. All nodes are separating and they are growing.......slowly though. May 1/20 - Day 21 - dry out day again - need to let the pots dry out in order to adjust the pH further. - they are looking taller and happier today. Sorry for running behind gang. Always so much to stay on top of😀........

So she’s a week into flush with only about 10% amber trichomes so has a few more days yet. The bud size isn’t moving but the density of the buds has definitely increased. Let me know what you think. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
