Hello everybody! Here we are a week later and I’m starting to see some nice improvements and developments. This week I fed all plants pretty heavily with Recharge and Dolomite Lime (and a little Cal Mag). The plants seemed to like it, the color is really coming back to a nice shade of green instead of the pale yellow’ish green. I’m also seeing nice bud sites developing on all of the photos. My autos are doing great too. The FastBuds Blackberry is a beautiful shade of purple and the Barneys Farm NYC Diesel is nice and chunky with tons of crystals. I’m going back to my normal nutrient routine this week and think it should be fairly smooth sailing from here. One negative is I seem to have inherited some bugs from my wife. She asked me to put one of her outdoor plants in the room so it would survive the winter, well it looks like that plant was infested with bugs. The little f’ers had a feast on some of the leaves. My wife gave me the OK to toss the plant, so with the plant removed it should be fairly easy to irradiate any remaining bugs with some sticky paper. I’d like to say thank you to all who answered my question regarding recommend reading on cannabis. I’m selecting the answer for the Grow Bible by Greg Green because I was actually unaware of that one. I’m familiar with the Cervantes and Rosenthal versions but not Greg Greens. I’ll be ordering that book after I receive and finish “True Living Organics” by The Rev (should be here tomorrow). This week I have a new question for my GD friends…. CO2? I have not been using CO2 but EVERY book I read recommends using it, I’m not prepared to go out and buy a CO2 tank, regulator, etc… at this time. Has anyone ever used one of those CO2 bags? Or do you have any DIY CO2 solutions you can recommend? I’m looking forward to your answers on CO2. With the exception of LED's, HPS lamps are the most efficient source of light you can buy, both in terms of light output and light spectrum. You do not need to alternate between metal halides (for growth) and sodiums (for flowering). That is an oversimplification of the plant's light requirements. You may do this if you like--it certainly won't hurt--but I firmly believe that the gains are just not great enough to justify the cost of the extra MH lamp.” -Read Spear

Moved these 2 girls into flowering tent, on 11/1/24. Changed them from 15ltr pots to 20ltr insulated buckets. Gave them a defoliation & lollipoping today .

Slowly increasing nutrients and lowing the pH a little at a time. Growth is a little slower than I anticipated, but I've read that coco often starts out a little on the slow side. Both girls don't have the sturdiest stems, but I've added some support and fans to try and get those trunks a little stronger. I know the Meph guide talks about funny leaves, and both of these girls have a little something special about them. Reggie is much bigger and had some two lobes younger leaves whereas Weezie is smaller in stature but stared out with more uniform leaves, but now has a funny ripple. It's always fun to watch how they grow! I was hoping to top them, but now I'm getting cold feet...

Week 3 day 7. Buds are getting icey and stretching around 1-2” a day. Dropped the carboload and is going to be replaced by a PK booster (big bud). Watering everyday. Plain RO on every 3rd water. The kind LED is pissing on the hps if im being honest. Bud development and vigor seems a lot nicer. Stay baked.

Having a lux meter has improved my grows so much. Knowing your DLI and where the hottest/coldest parts off your plants (ppfd wise) is just really the next step in adding that thing to your grow(s) that sets your next crop from your last. As I'm a long way from where I want to be. My next crop will focus on 2-3 plants. Doing 35 really is its too much work. Timing and moving plants around as there all at different stages. Like autos in pre fower will only take about 35-40dli before showing stress (drooping for ages after lights out or near the end of lights on) but, really you only see it about 20m after lights out. So its kinda of a ritual for me to check my girls after I put them to bed. Also doing 3-4 swaps and plant moves in and out of my dark room, or moving from the 70cm2 into my 1m2 (having a same spectrum of very close is a must if you're going to reg change lights/tents. As for this strain. She's really happy. Bit of wind burn you can see my 360degree ball fan is to powerful on its lowest setting. I'm thinking of putting something to break the wind on her. I did remove the 1st true leafs/nodes much later than I did with my 2 Fastbuds (that stalled for a wk) but they're back strong. And no early flip. Really only thing I can think of is the DLI and not stressing them day in day out with lights out has improved all my plants. (Lux meter id suggest any grower who wants to push their limits) Maintenance 1st True leafs/nodes removed to help energy move to the next more important sets. Very little to no feed. I'm keeping her going with Fish force and Royal mix soil. This week I'll be adding Xpert Nutrients. Budding has accelerated like crazy , and this girl is getting frosty . It's the frostiest plant in my grow by far. I'm getting a strange smell off my grow that I heard another grower mention , an almost moldy smell . Got me kind of worried but I've looked it up and down and see no sign whatsoever of mold or mildew. I do have a cheese plant in the grow that may be contributing to the smell . I've backed off the nutes as it seemed to not like what I was giving it , and I've also moved my entire tent to a cooler spot and the temp has been staying around 28 .

Hi all buddies! First crop from hydro nft growth. Growth went well, I had some management problems in changing nutrients from veg to bloom which delayed the harvest for a week or two. Sensi Seeds' Skunk # 1F is incredibly resistant to mold and insect attacks, very close internodes ensure low height and compact buds. Unfortunately I chose the mother phenotype wrong, I found the lowest as I wanted but I lost the fatness of the buds present in other phenotypes, but the game was worth the same and I am very proud of it! I collected after 94 days of flowering, the last 72h 20kg ice cubes in the tank and total darkness which the last 24h without irrigation. After cutting I hung the whole plants in the tent for 24 / 48h 19 ° C 55% HR. Two days of wet trim to 8 girls and I hung their colas in the tent to continue drying. With a girl i tried dry trim but i will avoid next time. After a week in the tent I cleaned the colas and removed all the sticks, I placed everything in airtight bags in the refrigerator for 5 days 12 ° C 65% HR (daily check). Now dark storage room at a temperature of 18 ° C 65% HR. At the last weighing a few days ago it was more than 500g, from now it does not lose any more weight.
