Die Pflänzchen sind aktuell immernoch am stretchen. Ich muss die Lampe nahezu jeden Tag weiter wegstellen. Alle sind absolut gesund, keine Anzeichen auf Spinnmilben, Nährstoffbrand oder ähnliches. Die Fächerblätter sind teilweise riesig. Gestern habe ich gegossen, die 30 Liter im Becken wurden innerhalb eines Tages aufgenommen. Ich hab aktuell (dem Sommer entsprechend) meine Lüftung auf dem Maximum plus Luftentfeuchter aber ich habe Probleme die Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit in Griff zu kriegen. Im Zelt selbst sind 3 Ventilatoren aufgebaut, ein oszilierender richtiger Ventilator und 2 Schreibtisch Mini Ventilatoren. Damit ich wenigstens die Luftzirkulation im Griff habe. Alles in allem etwas chaotisch aber trotz der nicht optimalen bedingungen explodieren die Pflänzchen förmlich.

Week 1 has started off well. The seedlings got planted with only one having a long tap. The all day 1 cloudy, drizzly, wet weather allowed for the taps to run without the top of the soil drying out. The outdoors game is real. Grasshoppers are already trying to take these out. Several were killed hanging on the outside of the pot this morning(day 3). I suspected the grasshoppers were nibbling on these but it turned out to be pharaoh ants. I found some slowly dying beside the plants. The Dr. Earth Bug Stop worked. They got sprayed at sundown and apparently the ants attack at night or early morning. They were barely moving and dying at 7.45 am. Pharoah ants are plant terrorists. They can nest up to 100ft away from where they feed and once they find a food source they are determined to eat it. I'm staying organic and trying to stop these guys but here on day 5 they've eaten some more including the seed leaves off of some Peach Crescendo seedlings. It's day 6 and I think I've beat the pharaoh ants. I had to spray liquid seven on the ground in a circle around the plants. Day 6 and no more of the plants were eaten. Overall it was a good week. Everyone survived the rigors of the great outdoors and are digging deep for next week.

Woche 11

Week6 has arrived and the signs of flowering are becoming more and more obvious first 2 plants are lemon cherry cookies auto and last one is frozen face auto the white stigmas and streaching side branches are streaching outwards looking forward to seeing more flower development

11/2: I fed them yesterday except for the 3 x SP's, the short OS(c), and the last Blackberry (a). Those 5 plants were each flushed with 8 gallons of warm water and Liquidsoil. 11/5: I watered the ones that will be harvested tomorrow so hey will be turgid for a rough trim. Took photos of the ones slated for execution. They'll be in the dark til tomorrow night. 11/6: Harvested and washed the 3 x SPs, the last Blackberry, and one of the OS's. Hanging to dry - My closet looks so empty now with only 11 plants in there... 11/7: I flushed all 3 of the Lemon Pies, and the purple Wedding Cheesecake with 8 gallons of warm water each, including Liquidsoil. Everybody else got fed for probably the last time.

Mar 15th Nutrients are updated The plants are stretching out finally I have added another 12 litre batch of nutrients today All 6 plants are using approximately 24 litres per week right now Mar 16th Did some defoliation to clean up some of the lowest bud sites (larf) Mar 17th LST training again, as the plants have started there flowering stretc Mar 20th Added another 12 litres of fresh nutes

Day 86 12/05/2021- Week 5 of flower almost done hopefully by the end of the month. Went out on a trip and GoPro never turn on for the last two days bummer but will upload time lapse videos daily. Today the lady got nutrients as well. Day 89 12/08/2021- Today the lady got water, really hoping to see buds starting to fatten up. Day 91 12/10/2021- So today the lady got a special treat, freshly collected rain water. She is just doing her thing and making those buds. I have also finally put the spider farmer SF-2000 at 100%. I planted this into its final container.. I did some light defoliation this week to expose all the bud sites in hopes they fatten up and then to frosty mcnuggets.. never really Defoliate autos but trying something new... At that point of putting on its weight so I jumped the nutes up a bit more. Had some slight light burn during veg and early flower.. brand new hlg blackbird.. I justvput it up to 70% at about 24 inches away.. 60% was too much during veg so kinda touch and go but keeping an eye on her.

// Harvesting and drying Since this was an outdoor grow, I did my first bud wash. I tried the method with citrus juice and backing soda. Was okay, I know I got all the street dust and fine dust away from her. But bud washing simply does not help enough when it comes to pests. The mites stick to the trichomes and you can't really to anything about it. Good thing is that most pests are on the leafs and not really on the buds themselves. Drying was smooth. 7 days approx. which is good if you think about the heat wave that hit us right during the drying time. 30°C in the tent is just bad for the drying process so I can't complain with the quality I got out of it.

Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting. December 4th:starting in the winter, veg and bloom will happen under 400watt hps to keep the grow room warm. the seeds have been germinating for 2 days with the wet paper towel technique, they got root and are now in soil and the rockwool cube. for now im just waiting for the seeds to show root coming out of the rockwool, then i transplant to the netpot with clay pellets straight in the dwc, untill then they get fluorescent light (max 7 days) these are autoflowers so they get 18 or 20 hours light. nutrients General hydroponics three part :micro gro bloom and calmag water: rainwater (25ppm) i hope the room wont cool of too much when the lights go out. Day 1 (December 5) seeds start to come above the rockwool and the soil Day 2 (december 6) stems start to stretch i give them both pure rain water with 100ppm calmag when they feel dry. Day 4 (december 8) still no root visible out of the rockwool Day 5 (december 9) root visible outside of rockwool cube and transplant to the 55Liter rdwc air pumps 10l/minute Day 7 (december 11) root comes trough netpot, i lowered the water by removing 3Liters

Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. May the force be with you 💪
