Changed the reservoir for flower this week. *Athena proline is measured in grams per gallon. The option isn’t allowed on grow diaries so I had to use an online converter for tsp to grams. * Defoliation and readjusting of the ties seems to happen daily at this point. In hindsight I left to many flowering sites, i was afraid I wouldn’t get a decent yield 😂. Removing more would have saved me time defoliating and readjusting the branches in the later stages. I was surprised at how well the auto took to topping and training I’ve done so often. Really happy with the root system. Video added.

Ended up being a pretty successful grow , had a few challenges with summer temps but after switching from HID lights to LED lights mid flower ( which was stressful at the time ) the girls didn’t miss a beat . They aren’t dry completely yet after hanging for 10 days maybe another 3 or 4 days and I’ll know dry weight etc … that total decreases every day tho , can’t help but throwing a handful of bud on the dehumidifier every morning.

Hey Guys! The last 2-3 weeks have been somewhat difficult. The “Load shedding” cut-offs has increased to stage +5 level which means 5 hours without electricity each day! 😒 🤢 Suck’s right? Well, that ain’t where my headache ends. To make matters even worse, due to all the on/off intervals our suburbs Sub-Station Transformer blew out - causing an overload & tripping the emergency leakage right after it gets switched back on. Then it’s a waiting game as City Officials needs to manually override the system, sometimes waiting up to 6 hours for them to respond to the call-out. Trying to keep things in check as best I can has taken its toll. Thus I’ve made the decision to harvest a little earlier than planned. I’ve noticed the flush taking affect underneath the leaves which is good enough for me at this point! (Besides, my smoke jar has been empty for almost 2 weeks now) - Thus why I’ve decided to harvest a little early than normal. I had started with the flush on 2 July after 8,5 weeks into reproductive stage. Initially planned to flush them down for 2-3 weeks until the flower period had reached 12-13th weeks total. ∴ 10 day flush done! Hello, This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. I completely forgot about reporting last week. Got the roof re-shingled and they finished on Tue and I chopped fire wood when they left. Chopped for 3 days and on Sat. I couldn't remember if I reported... so I had to look... I hadn't... Oh well.. Got 3 weeks left to go and this is the last week for nutrients. I'll give a couple of weeks of ph adjusted tap water only, before harvest. Yes... I still like to flush... For better taste. I've tried growing right up to harvest before and was disappointed with the pot. Or had to harvest early, because of pests, and didn't flush. I could taste the nutrients left in the plant tissue. Have you ever tried the ash test to see how clean your pot is? When you smoke a joint, the ash at the end is supposed to be white and fall off the end easily, for the cleanest cannabis. It always takes 2 weeks flushing, for me, to get that good white ash. If your ash is gray... that's not too bad, if it falls off easily. But if it's dark gray with black streaks in it and is stiff and has to be pushed off the end of the joint, then it will probably taste bad too and has too much nutrient left in it... Have you ever smoked a joint and had it sizzle and soft pop (not like a seed pop) It has too much nutrient left in the plant Try your own test (smoke a joint) to see how your pot stacks up. OK. Week 4 is flower-week! All of our ladies showed signs of pre-flower last week, now there are already visible buds growing. We had to adjust the height of #1 & #2 once again because #3 is just growing crazy. Can't go any higher than the current position without redesigning our whole setup so this will be the final adjustment (hopefully!). #2 is obviously very different from the other ones, she's a little behind in growth. Though, she does have outstanding red colored petioles in comparison to her mostly just green sisters. We increased the amount of nutrients for them since they'll need much more now. This is plant #3/3. She grows way too high for our liking but that's what we expected from the beginning anyways. We continuosly had to adjust the light and the height of the other plants until we can't go higher right now. So wherever #3 wants to grow to now, she's probably getting sunburned from our lamp.

February 28, 2019 Update: Chugging right along in the veg tent. I sprayed the plants with Neem Oil last week and the leaves look shiny from that, but no new signs of bug damage since then. I did feed them a little Recharge also and they really responded great to that. After taking the pics I did some HST bending at the base of the stem on all plants. I didn't bend them over, just pinched real hard and wiggled the plant back and forth until I could feel the bend between my fingers. We'll see how that goes. The DinaMed's are still taller than the MediKush's but the MediKush's still have a nice tight node structure. If all goes to plan I'll have my flowering plants chopped and hanging in 2 weeks and will then be able to move these girls into the flowering room. They are starting to get a bit frosty. the sensi prop is powder so the given values are in grams. Big bud as well. I planted cloves in the bottom of the pot, they are growing well and I think I am liking the companion planting of mixed clovers.

This girl is currently in the darkness to speed up the process a bit. She's been flowering for over 63days already and white pistils dont seem to stop coming out. I think this is before of her strong sativa strain. Anyway, next week will be about her being harvested. I hope to get at least 8oz out of this girl. Let's see if i can do it.

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed.
