Week 4 Flower – Supercrop Week: Taming the Moon-Shooter Both Sundae Driver girls are thriving, stacking bud sites and frosting up fast. Pheno #2 tried to aim for the moon, so this week I performed a supercrop to keep the canopy even and unlock more lateral sites. She bounced back within days and is already curving up; new sites are catching light beautifully. I also did a light, targeted defoliation to open airflow, nothing heavy. Feed & Mix (this week) Testing a hybrid Aptus + Plagron approach at low solution EC to complement the rich, pre-amended soil. • Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml/L • Plagron Green Sensation – 1 ml/L • Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml/L • Aptus CalMag Boost – light dose, just to keep LED demand covered Why low feed? The living/“easy” soil we built is still hot and active (medium EC ~2.96 mS/cm), so I’m keeping the solution EC ~0.4–0.5 mS/cm with pH ~6.1. That lets the soil do most of the work while I steer with gentle inputs and avoid salt stacking or tip burn. ⸻ Deep Dive: Supercropping (What, Why, When, How) What it is Supercropping is a high-control, high-reward training move: you soften (pinch) the inner stem tissues and bend the stem over without tearing the skin. The plant heals with a strong “knuckle,” redistributes hormones, and pushes more energy to side shoots. Result: flatter canopy, better light use, more productive sites. Why do it (Week 4 Flower)? • Pheno #2 outpaced the canopy and was nearing the lights • Even canopy = more uniform PPFD and bud development • Bending redirects auxins to lower sites → more usable bud sites • A late stretch check without heavy cutting Best timing • Ideal: late veg through early flower stretch (Weeks 2–4 of flower) while stems are still pliable. • Later than Week 4: be more cautious—stems lignify and snap easier. Step-by-step 1. Hydrate first: Slightly hydrated plants bend better than very dry ones. 2. Choose the internode you want to lower (usually the tall outlier). 3. Pinch and roll the stem gently between thumb and forefinger for 5–10 seconds to soften the pith. 4. Bend to ~45–90° toward an open space in the canopy. 5. Support: If the skin shows micro-cracks, wrap loosely with plant tape; add a soft tie or stake to hold position. 6. Aftercare: Keep airflow up, avoid heavy feeding changes for 24–48h, and don’t stack stress (no major pruning at the same time). What to expect after • Leaves may droop for a few hours; prayer and curve-up typically return within 24–72 hours. • A hardened knuckle forms in 3–7 days, strengthening the stem. • Side sites along the bent branch accelerate; top re-orients upward. • Usually less foxtailing later because tops are kept at ideal distance from the light. Risks & how to avoid them • Snap/tear: Don’t bend dry or cold stems; soften first and bend slowly. • Infection: If skin splits, tape loosely and keep humidity in check. • Over-stressing: Avoid combining with heavy defol or big feed changes on the same day. ⸻ Canopy & Care Notes • Minor defoliation only this week—just a few broad fans that shaded key sites. I prefer leaf tucking elsewhere to preserve photosynthetic “engines.” • Aroma is coming on; both phenos are stacking clean white pistils with visible trichome build on sugar leaves. • I took the girls outside the tent for a careful studio shoot—this might be the last time. Intentional supercropping is great; accidental branch breaks during handling are not. ⸻ Why this recipe (and why it’s gentle) • Power Buds helps flower initiation/transition behave predictably. • Green Sensation brings a compact PK + micro package and carbs; paired at low EC to avoid over-layering with the soil’s nutrients. • Sugar Royal supports metabolism and aroma precursors. • Regulator + CalMag keep cell walls strong, transpiration steady, and LEDs fed. • With substrate EC ~2.96, I’m letting biology and amendments supply most macros; the solution (~0.4–0.5 EC, pH ~6.1) is a steering wheel, not the engine. ⸻ What’s Happening Now • Stretch is nearly done; supercrop leveled the canopy without stalling growth. • Bud sites multiplying and beginning early stacking. • Trichomes appearing across sugar leaves; calyx build just starting. What to Expect Next (Week 5+) • Expect: • Stretch to taper off; energy shifts into stacking and calyx swell • Noticeably more trichomes; first hints of terp profile intensifying • The supercropped knuckle to fully harden; consider stakes or light trellis to support future weight • Don’t expect (yet): • Final density or full resin push—that’s more a Weeks 6–8 game • Heavy leaf stripping; I’ll keep it light to protect photosynthesis • Keep an eye on: • Humidity management as flowers bulk—tighten RH stepwise to mid-50s to reduce microclimate risk • Mg/K demand under strong LEDs (watch for interveinal fade or edge crisping) • Wound sites from supercrop—good airflow, no standing moisture ⸻ Connection & Monitoring I’ve logged a set of videos this week: TrolMaster data screens plus hands-on canopy time. Daily check-ins are still the best way to catch tiny changes before they become big ones—and it keeps the grower-plant connection strong. ⸻ Closing Week 4 is the hinge between stretch and stack. One deliberate supercrop turned a moon-shot into a level, efficient canopy, opening light to more sites without slowing momentum. With a living soil doing the heavy lifting and a gentle, targeted feed, both Sundae Drivers are on track for a clean, aromatic finish. Back on track everything looks fine. Ph runoff stable at 6.3 feeding twice daily now 1.5L in morning 1L evening. Have reintroduced silica at a reduced 2ml per 25 litre. Attempted some lst with plastic clips and did a lot of damage removing so will not be using them again. Am happy to just top and tuck for now till we are ready for trimming. Heights vary from 20cm to 29cm

Vegetation Week 13: Heatwave Growth & Bokashi Boost Update: 12.06.2025 | Day 97 Hey Growmies, Week 13 rides the heatwave momentum with explosive progress. The battle scars from pest wars are fading, and the ladies reward us with textbook vigor. Growth Report: - Stems hardened into woody trunks, new shoots erupt daily. - Canopy density doubled – Durban’s sativa stretch is accelerating, now clearly overtaking Blueberry’s bushier frame. - Subtle aromas intensify when stems are rubbed. I can smell where this is going... and I love it! Pest Status: - Aphids: Down to occasional stragglers. Jet-spray maintenance continues. - Ants: Fully absent after duct-tape stem barriers. Victory holds! Care Tactics: - Bokashi Boost: Fed 1:100 dilution today. Plants thrive on this – expecting deeper greens within 48h. - Water Discipline: Deep irrigation at dawn during 32°C days, but only every 2-3 days. Encouraging roots to seek water and expand. Environmental Notes: - Weather: Consistent highs near 30°C, lows at 16°C (perfect recovery temps). - Soil: Mulch layer doing its job – soil beneath stays moist and fluffy. Next Steps: - Scout for spider mites (heat invites new threats) and aphid resurgence. - Monitor ant activity – they’re the aphid "farmers." Otherwise: Observe and let nature work. Minimal intervention! Week 13 Takeaway: Resilience rewarded. From pest chaos to photosynthetic fury – these Dutch Passion genetics are hitting their stride. Bokashi juice = liquid gold. As always, thanks for checking in and commenting. I appreciate you guys – grower love to all! – Smoking_Joe_Frazier

Harvested Z1 (Zkittlez 1) at 95 days and Z2 (Zkittlez 2) at 90 days, At week 11 the trichomes were 90% milky with 50% orange pistils. They both received a minimum 2 full water flush, what I mean by that is a good 20% runoff to get all that built up out of the fabric pots. Note to self. 7 Gallon pots were unnecessary for these autos, 5 Gallons would be more than sufficient possibly even 3 Gallon. I believed the yield would be more considering how dense these buds are. I had forgotten Z2 had been massacred throughout this grow, unintentional topping as she was starting to flower and the carbon filter which fell on the plant damaging the top bud and other smaller bud sites. Taking these into consideration and after weighing Z1 I am very impressed by Fastbudz genetics especially under 13 weeks! I added a video of Z1 & Z2 dry weight to show transparency of my end results for this grow. I think better internodal spacing could allow for better bud development hence a better yield. Overall extremely pleased. Z1 = 97gr Z2= 61gr Density of Buds: 10/10 Resin: 9/10 Smell: 10/10 Dry Time and Cure for Smoke Report: 6 days (are now placed in Masson jars open lid for the next 2 days then 30 min x2/day) at Relative Humidity 60% // Temp: 72° F Smoke Report : High THC can be felt but not overpowering. Easily tell its heavier on the Indica side - will only know for sure once I try Zkittlez pheno 1. Curing will take some time. Generally I find 8 weeks minimum tends to give me a good quality product. I will be burping the mason jars twice a day for the next 2 weeks or so and add a 58% Bodeva pack. I prefer 58% vs 62% because I tend to use a Pax vaporizer. 00

Not much really to report, the 2 seeds took 3 days to pop up- Still nothing from the 3rd BUT it also didn't crack open in water while germinating.. SO 2/3 aint bad. I will be waiting a few days and transplanting these autos into 3 gallon pots and put on 12/12 :) 2019.12.29 third one didn't pop up, kept trying and decided to give up! stoked about these girls, they are thriving in my tent.

So she really stretched super hard when she geared up for bloom. Over night she hit me with 6 inches of growth. Leaving my grow light far to close for the fragile new growth that was coming in. It was a lot worse mid grow week last week. I re adjusted my lighting SMH. Her tips slightly recovered but They will never fully recover. Other than that... shes stack amazing. Super bushy and LOTS of budsites. Bunch of donkey dock cola candidates. If I can stop beating em up with light intensity. She spans the full 2x2 like a beast. What an autoflower. I preventative treated her again with Dr zhymes. Shes due for another shower mid week. Got her on a solid balanced feed. I will adjust levels as needed from here. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is behind me. There’s already a real jungle in the box, and as I announced last week, I did my first defoliation this week. I removed all the leaves from the lower branches and thus allowed her better airflow since there are three plants in the box. Two Haze Berry Auto and one Fat Banana Auto. As you can see in the pictures, the plants are really beautiful, with a bunch of flowers that fill up and develop nicely. Watering is every third day, when each plant in the box receives approximately 2.5 liters of water. I started adding CalMg preventively, 1.5 ml / lit and I continue with BioBizz, I will add it by feeling so we will see how the plants will react to that. Here's what the week looked like: 23/10/2020 - Day 29. Watering. This time I only added CalMg without BioBizz. p.H I regulated to 6.4 and the temperature of the water I water with is always around 20 degrees. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26.5 degrees and 51% humidity. 24/10/2020 - Day 30. Defoliation. As I wrote earlier, I cleaned the leaves on the lower branches and allowed better airflow and easier watering. 26/10/2020 - Day 32. Watering. I always prepare about 8 liters of water with which I water all three plants. This time I added both CalMg and BioBizz. p.H. - 6.4 Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.4 degrees and 44% humidity. 29/10/2020 - Day 35. Photographing and watering. I took photos for this week just in the box. I think I will only take photos on a black background for the last two weeks of flowering so as not to disturb them too much. I then watered the plants only with water with regulated p.H at 6.4. That's all for this week, so far everything is great and I hope it will continue that way. See you soon.

25.02. F 37 Day 37 of flower and the girls are looking absolutely stunning. The buds are stacking beautifully and getting heavily dusted with trichomes. Resin production is clearly ramping up now, and you can really see the genetic potential coming through. On top of that, they’re still praying — leaves angled up, full of life, full of energy. That’s always a sign the environment and feeding are on point. Now for the slight setback: powdery mildew. It’s nothing dramatic, but enough to make me adjust my strategy. As of today, I’m switching to biological fungicides that work as antagonists against mildew. Instead of just reacting, I’m aiming for a long-term solution that stabilizes the microclimate inside the tent and prevents future outbreaks. I’m confident this will bring it under control sustainably. The plants are strong, the system is stable, and overall this run is still performing at an exceptional level. We keep pushing. 🌿🔥.

Days 74 - 80 (from seed) 4/15/24 - 4/21/24 Lamp distance: 13" @ 50% power (estimate PAR?) VPD: not checking - humidity set to 40% Feed schedule: feed schedule once a week, 1/4 gallon water per plant daily - FPE added at 2oz per gallon every third day IPM: visual inspection only Notes: Final push, fading occurring on all plants now and some amber starting to show during trichome inspection. Cookies & Berries taking the most time of the group to finish while Mango Sky crossed the finish line first. All four plants will be chopped next week on the morning after the full moon, April 24th - according to the moon gardening calendar it is "best time to pick medicinal herbs and plants, while flowers if cut during this time have an intense scent and endure longer." They're close to finished in my book so it can't hurt to follow the lunar suggestion.

I increased the fertilizer so that the still small flowers can continue to develop. Unfortunately I was only able to partially solve my problem with the yellow leaves. A few have recovered and turned green again, but new yellow leaves have also appeared in other places. Also, my exhaust fan broke and is now making very loud noises. I have ordered a new one, but it will take a while before it is delivered.

Ok, so day 46, i see a lot of “hairs” turning dark/brown/yellow, so i gave it fresh water no nutes. But it is only the top buds, so maybe i will feed 1-2 times more before flushing. Thats for lsd-25. blueberries, on the other hand needs more time. Day 47: very beautiful colours, and the sweetest smell ❤️

Hi guys Welcome 🙂 After more than month postharvest , I have tested this Blue Gelato #41 🍦🌱 In the end was passed 78° days in flowering for the right maturation I can only say.. Awesome 🤩 About taste , perfume and effect Also the grow inself was fun and not to hard In the beginnig my plan was to growing her in a natural way But in the end I have decide to topping her and create a multiple primary colas And she was react very well: 1:🌳 Flowers are very dense , also after the dry and cure process The aroma of smoke after my first pitch from a joint, obviously weed-only, reminded me a lot of Amsterdam The bluberry taste is the first thing you feel, and it's clear and clean Afterwards there are notes of earth and something similar to citrus on a sweet base The effect is enough for the day because it keeps you motivated and creative too But if you sit on the sofa and close your eyes, you can clearly feel a tingling on the forehead halfway between one eye and the other 🧠👁️ And the imagination is facilitated, expanding the creative process For this reason it could be vaguely psychedelic I personally love it I want to spend two words about post-harvest artistic process😉 Personally I have spent more time figuring out the best way to have the tastiest, smoothest, cleanest and most perfect burning weed. First I just want to say one thing... ..WEED SHOULD NOT SMELL DURING THE DRY PROCESS.. If this happens, it means that the temperature and humidity are too high and probably the fans are aimed directly at the inflorescences The scent that is felt are all terpenes that are dispersing in the air and which consequently will be less intense during final consumption The less trichomes remain in contact with air, the better If too exposed to air and light, these oxidize, thus removing much of the final experience Personally, what interests me most is the taste, because it already creates the effect in itself A bit like when you sit down to eat I prefer a well-cared for dish with quality ingredients that leave me a great memory after consuming it, rather than a dish that only fills my stomach Mc Donald weed vs Five star restaurant . Sorry Mc lovers 🍔🍟🙌 Said this.. My method is that the cannabis is dried whole plant for a maximum of five days at constant and balanced temperature and humidity, the important thing is to maintain a narrow range between te ur, 20 ° or 24 ° C little changes, even if humidity remains between 55 and 60% is fine The increase in temperature must also correspond to an increase in humidity And so also in case of a decrease In any case In the first few days it must lose most of its water 💧 When the branches are about to break, but still not cracking, I cut the branches one by one and perform a professional manicure Afterwards, always with the flowers still attached to the branches, I put everything inside a classic brown bread bag (not white because it is colored and not the best) For about two days I leave the buds inside, opening the bag several times a day to circulate air and to move the branches with the flowers After a couple of days, the inflorescences usually have reached a good level of drying and are dense to the touch, but by pressing, you still have to be able to crush between the fingers Explaining in words how hard they can be pressed to find out if the ur level is optimal is difficult to say It is must necessary to try and make mistakes many times And never be satisfied You can always do better 😎: 1:💪 So, now we are about ten days after the cut of the plant and, at this point, the flowers can be placed in an airtight container BASIC The flowers are put in the vase "a moment before" that the branches break cleanly, this is important An optimal method to understand when the right time is is to see if the popcorn buds are easily detached from the branch, without dragging with them the "thread" of the bark Once placed in the pot, normally I leave it closed for 24h in order to let the moisture come out from the central area of the flower and distribute it evenly After this first day, I start to open and close the pot several times a day, but always for a few seconds At each opening I always move the flowers to allow a correct exposure to the little air present in the vase The jars would be better not to fill them completely, but just a 3/4 or a little more The important thing is that the flowers can move easily enough This process generally lasts about four weeks, and every seven days I decrease the number of daily openings Usually, after the first week, the scents that will be created begin to be felt And this makes us realize that we are on the right track 🛣️🚀 After four weeks, if everything has been done in a workmanlike manner, the perfume will be pungent and intoxicating and the flowers will be dense and oily to the touch When the humidity level appears optimal, I insert a bag from the Boveda series to keep the ur around 62% In all cases, I personally start using my flowers constantly two months after cutting 📆 I noticed that in general, Haze-type Sativas are tasty even after only a month For the Kush the optimal terpene profile I appreciate it in the neglect only after a couple of months In this way the flowers will be extremely fragrant, crunchy and smooth in flavor once consumed and always create a clear oil all around the rolling papers As you can appreciate in the videos what place, and that I hope to be able to post for much longer every time I conclude a new cycle You need to savor a lot of cannabis in order to have a clear idea of how a high quality finished product should look 🔥👌 This is my thought about our true works for having the best , I hope it can be useful 😉 About the Living Soil with my High-Brix formula Like I say week by week , for this lady I have use a 20l geotextile pot with around 1/3 of the Living Soil I have made ( in this case in november 2019 ) First thing to say is Trought this metodology we're not feeding the plants , but the soil ☝️ Basycally the important things are principaly four Soil energy Cation exchange Microbial activity Mineral balance Soil energy is kept high with humus Cation exchange with rock powders Microbial activity is achieved with innoculants and some teas or other Mineral balance is achieved by adding the micronutes and having everything in the right ratio's For doing this I have use a base mostly of light-mix soil with already perlite inside ( classic cannabis soil ) coco nut humus zeolite then I have add Neem soil , Kelp , Krill , Azomite , Basalt , Gypsum , Calcium Carbonate , Phosforite , Alfalfa and Leonardite Then I was have "cooking" it for a month an half And this was the engine that allowed the plant to stay in constant health, keeping the Brix level high 🌳🔥 During the flowering time I have add mostly only water , one times a week with molasses for feeding the microbs I have also make a humus/nutrient tea for she and her sisters , just one time I'm feel good doing in this way , like it and I understand so many more things about the lives into the ground in general But just for be precis.. For having the high brix in plants we must need obviously a good soil with a right nutrition way, but we have also to maintain the environment around her in the best condition Temperature , ur , right water dosage in right time , good ventilation and fresh air The balance it's the key Like in our daylife 🙂 And obviously a fundamental it's First , the right strain selection from serious breeder 🏆🔥 Second , passion&love 💚 (Don't look for them in a growshop) So, I think I said it all I apologize for this long review But I wanted to explain the best of the things that personally took the quality of my cannabis to a higher level Thanks for everybody stopping by here in this few months or just now for the first time🙏 Thanks Barney's farm for create this and more strain 🤝 And like as always thanks the people behind Grow diaries for maintaine this creativity space👏🙌👉💪🏅 Hope you was enjoy Or at least , hope you are stoned like me right now 😁 See you somewhere Always growing 🌲 Looking for a clouds ☁️ Ciao ✌️ 🇮🇹 FC
