What can I say. Unfortunately, it produced somewhat small buds, but I overlook that because of the beautiful color and taste, and I give full points. Will definitely grow it again.

I bought the strain mainly because of its effects. My wife has MS and the strain is supposed to ward off migraines and headaches. It is supposed to help with sleep disturbances, calm the muscles... All positive traits that my wife can only benefit from. And let's be honest, she looks sexy in the sales pictures from Kannabia too. I also really like the flavor profile. So I went to the fridge, took out 2 seeds of the Purple Kush, and first prayed that there were no dud seeds. After 3 days, both seeds had germinated without complications. After the first 4 weeks of the seedling phase, I chose the stronger plant. From the very beginning, the plant stretched hungrily towards the light. It never had a problem with the amount of light, nor with the amount of fertilizer. I could probably have easily maintained an EC value between 2.0 - 2.5, the Purple Kush had little to no problems with the amount of fertilizer. However, I had to adjust the fertilizer amount downwards to accommodate the tolerance of the other roommates in the tent, who were unfortunately not quite as tolerant. It grew beautifully compact and was easy to train. The buds grew very densely, covered all over with trichomes. The main head bud was over 20cm in size, the other top buds about 15 cm. Unfortunately, it only started to purple very late, as can be seen in the trichome pictures. It was simply too warm this summer, the night temperatures were not low enough, and since I had to harvest it after the 8th week, it remained green, except for a few tips. Also in the trichome pictures of the 15th week, it can be seen that my specimen was finished after 8 weeks by my standards. Various amber-colored trichomes were already visible. The specified ripening time from Kannabia (60 days) is therefore accurate. The smell in the dried state is a berry / grapefruit aroma for me, it's hard to describe, but there's something fizzy, almost like soda powder. Very tasty 😊 The effect corresponds to what was described above. It is a pleasant smoking feeling, after 7 days of drying and 3 weeks of fermentation. The zesty citrus note (for me, reminiscent of grapefruit) remains in the taste, especially when vaping, and is complemented by earthy and berry notes. I find that the strain has a certain narcotic potential starting from the 2nd joint and is a perfect way to end the day.

The plant grew well despite the extreme heat and produced a lot of THC — truly great genetics. The flavor is something special! The yield was a bit low, but it’s packed with flavor.
