The only plant left was the Jack Herer and it is its last week 😎 I watered it twice with clear water before chopping it down. After the harvest of the two other plants, the humidity in the room dropped signifcantly. If you are interested in more detailed graphs about the plants heights vs weeks, see the harvests. It was a long journey but I really enjoyed it 😁

Pablo Escobar is coming to a end. She has some nice frosty colas on her. She has a fruity smell with a pine undertone. Her feed was pretty strong and it probably effected my final yield. She will still provide several ounces once she is processed. I have not has a good sativa in some time. She smells very good. On day 1 the plants are looking good. I confirmed that my one cola was seeded, so I removed all visible seed pods. After this run I will do a deep cleaning to make sure there is no pollen in my grow box. The rest of my plant colas seem fine... I changed out my reservoir and adjusted the PH to 6.1. I also dimmed my light to 75% to mimic spring conditions. On day 2 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir down to 6.1. The plants are looking great besides a few fox tails from too much light. On day 3 the PH in the reservoir is 6.2. On day 4 I diluted my reservoir with plain water to lower the ppm down to 400 ppm, and I adjusted PH to 6.2 . The buds are ripening for sure and smell great! I haven't gotten any autumn colors yet even though I have dimmed my grow light and lowered my night time temps. I hope by 8 weeks the plants will have some more purple tones but if not I'm good with the flower quality thus far :). The breeder says 7-8 weeks so I'm hoping I am close to the finish line. I will continue to monitor the trichomes for ripeness. On day 5 I adjusted the reservoirs PH to 6.0. I harvested my seeded cola on Pheno #1 as it had stopped growing/ripening and would be a good tester ;) On day 6 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. On day 7 the PH is 6.0 50 % pistils have turned amber so I believe I have entered my harvest window and expect to flush and harvest soon:) very excited!

Leaves are filling out more after the defoliation. Some plants are showing difficulties from the cold root zones. No nug growth shown yet.

Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. Fat Banana fan leaves temperature: 28.5C Fat Banana center/middle of the plant: 30.9C Royal Critical fan leaves temperature: 27.5C Royal Critical center/middle of the plant: 27.8C NOTE: Royal Critical ugly/yellow leaves have higher temp: 29-30C The rest of small plants range from 28 and 32C Surface area/soil temperature DRY: 35C Surface/Soil temp. WET/SHADOW: 28-29C That pistol/laser for checking temps was solid purchase. I can see back of my tent is more hot then other areas. Will do more Temp-Checks in the future. Not stretching as much and the buds are starting to bulk up all the bud sights have a nice purple fade. She’s a short plant but looks like she will be productive in the end. Day 47 had to remove some of the big fan leaves that were blocking light on some of the bud sites below them. She's really starting to put on some weight.

Week 4 update - had to list it as a flower week as we flipped em half way through. Exotic wasn’t lying - the spicy bitches hit maturity rather quickly and we now have a guaranteed 2 males and 3 females - perfect ratio score👌👍. Balls started showing in a span of 12-36 hours. One of the females entered flower early so she may be a dud, an auto or just stressed for some unusual reason. We’ll probably either separate er or let it grow with the rest and pitch it. Won’t be using that seed knowing that underlying issue. Similarly, one of the males has also demonstrated some fan leaf mutation - I actually like this kind of variation and it makes things interesting so bonus there👍. The rest of em are doing just fine. So god damned nice to have a run that’s on a quick schedule to finish within 3 months. It’s been a long year for the pollen chuck and we’re really looking forward to the upcoming all fem. Run. For now though - conditions look ripe for a bunch of awesome crosses, any one of which could be pure 🔥. Till next week yall🤟. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.
