D55. Plants are really changing at this point. Calyx’s are getting swollen. Still some clear trichomes.

She smells so sweet and citrusy it makes my mouth water whenever I check her, I think she’s not got long to go, every bud is nice and big by my standards grown with no issues throughout just in flush now to get ready for harvest time. Patience is key

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Because these plants got put in flower “too early” they continued growing before actually flowering. right now they are legit in week 2 of flowering, The strains are (see the picture of this week) Top left: Critical - zamnesia Top right: Critical super silver Haze Bottom: Purple Haze last video = end of this week

Week 4 for 9lb hammer, have topped this plant at the 4th node finally getting some lateral growth. Still haven't transplanted just waiting for 4 other siblings to grow a little bigger before i gender text them😇 Maybe anther week before doing so.

The buds are absolutely massive, with an insane layer of trichomes really impressive resin production.🎢 The terp profile is a mix of orange candy sweetness with distinct diesel notes. Extremely loud aroma🔥🚧

It’s really difficult trying to figure out the watering at this point. Besides that and the lighting everything else seems to be easier to control due to the technology. The human nature aspect and learning about my medicine and how the plants start to develop more growth and require different needs and attention in each stage is fascinating. It’s my first time and trying to mash up all the information I read online. Well anyways to everyone reading and doing their thing, thanks for all the support and here’s my part 2… Currently feeding distilled water every time I feel my fingers in the dirt are dry about 4” down. I’m scared to water till run off at this point as the roots are still young. I Fed 1/2 cup great white on 12/8 12/11 morning, showed first sign of vegetational stage(7sets of true leaves). 12/11 pm fed nutes(called advance and the guy was great very informative and helpful. Said for autoflowers to give half the dosage that is printed because those measurements are for photo’s) 2mil sense grow ph perfect a 2mil sense grow ph perfect b 4mil voodoo juice 4mil b-52 Mix all these into 1 gallon distilled in order from top to bottom. Then I fed 1/2 cup of that mix to each plant. Used cheap Amazon test kit 270ppm/ water temp 67 / water ph 5.75 12/12 am low stress training I forgot to mention that I increased the dimming from 4-6 on my light which gives the plants 420par ;) and I think 17000lux gotta learn how to use yet another cheap Amazon tool. Hey it works to give a general idea and as long as the numbers are consistent then why not use it as a reference.

Always been a favorite of mine this strain. It grows like a dream and smokes like a breath of fresh air. The terps are just mouthwatering and the smell intoxicating. I decided to harvest them this past week and hang them up to start the drying process. First time growing the RF3 version but definitely won't be the last. One I'd highly recommend for it's easy growing and beautiful flowers.
