Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Almost at the end of this week. I did remove the enzymen and roots feedings. I did add Green Sensation. EC went up but with cocos and this feeding schedule it is allowed too, I can even raise it to 2.5-2.6 if I feel like too. As for the ladies, They are flowering fast haha, might have to harvest them in like 2 weeks +- They gained alot of THC as well. Climate outside was not that good, arround 20-21 degrees celcius, So they didn't swell that much but they got compact because of it. Lets hope they do swell a bit more in the comming 2 weeks. Update: Day 56: 2 of the 5 plants got damaged by the storm. I had to cut of some buds otherwise they would have rotten. Sad thing that it happend, Lucky for me they are close to the end of the grow so they will have taste and thc on it. Also, look how compact they are for just outside plants, this looks promising. Ps, yes a spongebob stone and more in my pots., My girlfriend thinks she is hilarious.. Until next week!

09/24: flowing away! They are looking good. Water hooked up today. Looking forward to seeing how they progress this week. Purple is coming in! 😀

4/6: The first two plants are still drying, and Sooperrunt goes dark soon....look at the size of her cola!😍 4/7: I jarred up the smaller plant today and she weighed in at 110g. It smells like straight grapefruit! Puuungeeent! The middle plant is hanging to dry still (forgot to take photos while harvesting her). Sooperrunt is sitting in the dark now. 4/8: I harvested sooperrunt today. Not much to that plant other than her massive cola. I think she'll still weigh in at at least 100g though. That fucker is heavy! I left some lower growth and put her outside to hopefully regenerate. This plant smells the best of all my plants this run...very grapefruity.

WEEK 1 FLOWERING Since I will use the 7 weeks AN full nutrients program, one week is only 5 days Keep doing LST and defoliation every day or two I am using 100% RO water and give water every morning with nutrients included 🌱

Noticed some more pink/purple stems on the plants and decided to increase the phosphorus content in the feed by mixing in half grow and half bloom from the nutrient lineup. I'd use the PK booster I have but its to high in K for my liking. The entire lineup is very high in K. mixing grow and bloom gives a NPK ratio of 7-7-14 then done 1:1 equal parts. Grow=8-4-15 Bloom=6-10-14 Boost=1-15-30 Run off was a bit high for my liking but only seeing minimal signs of nutrient burn. Still watering once with feed and runoff and then later in the week with water and no/little runoff for my watering cycle.The number in the nutrient section are wrong but the EC and ratio are correct. Also impressed the roots have started popping out the bottom of the container already after only being transplanted for a week. Good root growth on these ones. Lights doing well. The V1 spectrum is good on the medic grow mini sun-2's 240w. No issues so far, dimmed at 80% . 7/6 Lion Claw is growing like crazy. I've been really impressed with this strain so far. Both plants just started showing sex, and they both ended up being females! Top Dressed both Lion Claw plants to ensure they have plenty of fuel for flowering. 7/7 17" tall this morning. Such a vigorous monster.

This is the final week of the 2 week flush. The fade is strong and the buds are thick and sticky. Can't wait to harvest next week. Cure is always tough when they look so tasty.

She's growing so fast. I was just watering the rockwool cube whenever it dried out but I put it in the net pot today and covered it in LECA clay pellets. I topped her yesterday as well. PH and ppm look good. I'm just going to plug in the dripper every once in a while until the roots start growing through the net pot. I don't want the rock wool to be submerged. The top is covered with clay now so shouldn't be susceptible to mold from the light reaching it. Looking at my last grow (CBD Blue Shark / Wedding Cake) I didn't provide enough light or nutrients at the start and wasn't able to top until week 6. Growing in peat/rockwool instead of paper towel/soil, adding nutrients right away, and using the HID grow light from the start instead of a smaller cloning light seem to have made a big difference.
