Flowering Week 28: Blueberry – The Final Countdown
Update: 25.09.2025 | Day 202
Hey Growmies,
With her African BFF now harvested, the spotlight is fully on Blueberry – and she’s loving the attention. Here’s where we stand as we approach the finish line.
Plant Status & Progress
- She’s still asking for at least one more week, ideally two, to fully ripen.
- Her structure remains gorgeous – long, elegant colas that keep fattening up daily. Compared to Durban’s dense nuggets, Blueberry’s buds are longer and more slender, but don’t let that fool you – they’re packing on weight.
- Mold-free so far, even with all the rain. A true testament to her genetics and maybe a little grower’s luck.
Aroma & Readiness
- The smell is just… wow. Sweet, berry-bubblegum-like, and intensely aromatic even before full maturity.
- My goal is to let most of her go until ~20% amber trichomes, but the weather is doing its best to ruin the plan.
Weather Woens & Harvest Plans
- Rain has been relentless for almost two weeks – nature’s way of balancing out that dry spring.
- I may pre-harvest a few top colas next week to ensure I salvage at least some of this deliciousness if mold appears.
As Mike Tyson said: “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.” Well, the weather is throwing haymakers.
Next Steps
- Pray for a dry week (or at least a few sunny days)
- Keep a close eye on trichomes and bud density
- Prepare for a possible staggered harvest
Week 28 Takeaway
Blueberry’s testing my patience in the best way possible. She’s close, but not quite there – and the weather is the final boss. Fingers crossed for a clean finish.
Wish me luck, folks. Catch y’all next week – likely with a harvest report.
