๐Ÿ‡ BlueBerry #1 & #2 โ€” Week 7 Flower From Roots to Resilience Hello beautiful souls, welcome back to our BlueBerry adventure โ€” and a warm hello to anyone just joining us! Letโ€™s do a little recap before diving into the magic. From seed to soil, our girls were lovingly nurtured in Aptus Holland super soil, guided by biological balance and living nutrients. Through every stage โ€” from seedling to lush vegetation, from first pre-flower pistils to dense, frosty colas โ€” these BlueBerries have been nothing short of spectacular. Last week brought a challenge: Bud rot found its way into one of our beauties. But quick action, gentle hands, and a bit of intuition made all the difference. We removed the affected areas, adjusted airflow, and kept a close eye. This week, weโ€™re happy to say no new signs of rot โ€” just thriving flowers and crystal-coated buds glowing under the light. ๐ŸŒž Environmental Notes Itโ€™s been hot, really hot โ€” outdoor temps reaching 45ยฐC (around 110ยฐF). To manage, weโ€™re running the grow during night cycles, where we can keep the environment steadier. Even with heat challenges, the girls are handling it like queens โ€” strong stems, thick stalks, and buds forming beautifully from top to bottom. ๐ŸŒฟ Feeding & Support Our current recipe remains the Aptus + Plagron combo: โ€ข Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost โ€ข Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation Together, theyโ€™re forming the symphony of this bloom โ€” supporting cell structure, enhancing terpene expression, and encouraging thick resin development. One of the top buds was removed this week โ€” not out of sadness, but as a precaution and an act of love. It was massive, too dense, and couldโ€™ve invited humidity trouble again. We took the chance to document it with photos, showing both the beauty and the lesson. ๐ŸŒธ Reflections This grow has become a story of evolution โ€” from the first transplant to the first flower, from trial to triumph. The inner canopy lights (ICL300) continue to shine beautifully, ensuring every level of the canopy is well-fed with photons. The plants are stacking heavy, leaning on the yo-yos for support, like true heavyweights in the ring. ๐Ÿ’ฌ A Note of Gratitude A huge thank-you to Zamnesia for keeping the classics alive and to everyone following this journey โ€” readers, growers, dreamers, haters, lovers, and the endlessly curious. Every comment, every question, every bit of love fuels this passion. Weโ€™ll keep learning, keep growing, and keep showing that even when nature throws a curveball, love and attention always bring balance back. Until next week โ€” may your gardens be green and your buds be clean. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ซ โธป ๐Ÿ“ฒ Donโ€™t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50ยฐ F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 we have lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 80's F. I watered today about 1.5-2 gallons per pot directly from the hose. Well water is 7.6 pH and about 50ยฐF. #1 and #2 got topped today. #2 was topped in the evening at 6.30 p.m. I waited for it to get a little more space between the nodes, so there's a bit of stem above the node. This will help it to not split. Day 2 we had thunderstorms and rain in the morning followed by sunshine. The #3 plant was topped today. Day 3 we had lots of sunshine, temps in the mid 80's. That evening we had thunderstorms and rain which became severe that night. Hail was in the forecast but we missed it ๐Ÿ™. I noticed the number 1 plant was growing crooked. I had moved the pots to get more sunlight and the one was uneven. I did some moving and adjusting today and hopefully it will straighten up. Day 4 we had rain in the morning followed by rain and thunderstorms intermittently into the night. Day 5 we had rains early morning and then cloudy most of the day. We have sunshine in the forecast for the weekend. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ All pots were top dressed with 50ml of ferrous sulfate. Day 6 We had sunshine in the morning and afternoon. Clouds began to move in about 3.30p.m. Suddenly about 4:00 p.m. we had a severe thunderstorm that produced heavy rain and grape sized hail. Thankfully the hail only lasted a few minutes. There was some damage to this group, but only leaves. Day 7 we had sunshine, but cooler temperatures with highs reaching low to mid 70's. The plants began to show some Interveinal chlorosis in the new growth on day 5. I checked pH and it's above 7 in the pots. I added ferrous sulfate to counter this. On day 6 I noticed the #3 plant falling behind from receiving less direct sunlight. I've run out of space to accommodate the suns procession. I moved it to a better place for it to receive more sunlight. This week produced challenges. The topping was successful, but the position of the plants prevented some of them from receiving maximum direct sunlight. It took a few days to notice the affect on growth. We did not have much height gained this week. There was the issue with rising pH again, but this was promptly dealt with. We survived the challenging weather. Overall a successful week as lots of downward root growth was achieved. This will be evident next week as plants shoot up.

Second week of flower and I defoliated again. There are small bud sites starting to form at the end of week two flower. The apple fritter has fascination which is making the stems grow interestingly with lots of bud sites.

This week I changed the scrog net (2โ€holes) itโ€™s about 7โ€ above the pots upped the nutes to 1.8-2 ec . Watering every morning to about 10% run off Sprayed with canna cure (350ml per ltr) They have really started taking off Lollipop and defoliation Thereโ€™s still not sign of sex but they are feminised seeds so I will be flipping to 12/12 by next week hopefully they show signs by then .

Day 57 - Yesterday I noticed that the leaves are darker than they should be, so I re-made the mixing solution lowering the PPM from 750 to 550. I've tried to raise it to see how much nutes that ladies can handle since it's my first time in coco and I like to experiment. Now I'm going to finish this mixing solution and then stabilize the next ones on 650 PPM. Keep learning every day ๐Ÿ™ Day 60 - Today I added one extra equivalent 75W LED to give the lower nodes more power. Some fan leaves touch it, wish they will not burn. New update in the next days.

Did a good thinning out today, took some more clones she is a great plant to clone from grows well under my mars hydro TSL2000. I tied her back a little further took off all the big fan leaf ๐Ÿ and trimmed up to 4th node. I added 1gal of ro water with 1tbs of big bloom, 1tbs of molasses, 1/2 tsp kelp, 1tsp MykosWP, top dressed with 3 tsp magnesium sulfate and 3 tbs of alfalfa meal. She is very strong odor of skunk cross with a slight fruity smell but strong nonetheless.

Flowering day 30 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) Every day when I look into the tent, the sight and the smell are a dream ๐Ÿ’š. They are all developing very well. There is no tip of the leaf that looks funny at the bottom or at the top ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. They were watered every 2 days with 1.3 l each (nutrients see table above). They were all checked and checked for their health. Had a few issues this week mostly with ph runoff, was very high at 8.5 (had been on the rise for a little while given that I have been time poor and a lack of energy this was put on the Iโ€™ll do it tomorrow list). Picked up some drip clean and reset the coco. Now getting runoff at 6.4 and improving. The girls have been growing this week some more than others but overall Iโ€™m pretty happy with the progress shortest being 36cm tallest 67cm with most averaging 53-55cm. Picked up 2 more fans to keep the air moving and will be hopefully doing some restructuring of the tent to help reduce this humidity and potentially relocating 4 of the girls into the 1.5x1.5 tent to give them all some extra room Other than that just maintaining the light into the plants and trimming where required all be it in stages when time allows Potentially too late in this grow but have moved over to filtered water to remove chlorine, tds remains at 87 for tap water and filtered water but filtered there is 0 chlorine Have dialled up the lights from 45%/45%0% to 45% veg 60% bloom 0% uv for another 6 days if all is looking good will ramp to 60% veg 80% bloom for week 10 and checking for light stress. Have an overlap of 20cm in the hellion vs3 lights which is going to give the centre a bit of punishment. Also looking into putting some co2 grow bags into the tent so the plants can handle the extra light. After 12 hours of increased light there does not appear to be any light stress yet Wednesday 28-Jan - pre flowers have appeared! 1 1/2 weeks into flip 7/8 plants have pistils 1 more to go and I can worry less that thereโ€™s a rooster amongst the hens hiding amongst the forest. Have obtained a 20L/day dehumidifier currently stable lights off 25โ€™c 63% lights on 28โ€™c 63% which is a massive improvement from the crazy 80-90%rh we did have. Plants have responded extremely well with their new climate and are well into their stretch (moreso since they have been able to breathe) day 21 defoliation is going to be a big job

Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:45 AM D 62 -Ooof! Not really sure what happened but a couple of my plants got rocked pretty hard. I mustโ€™ve overwatered them. I bought a soil meter so I can check whatโ€™s going on. Iโ€™ll put some pictures up. Hopefully itโ€™s still going to be some fire. The strawberry crinkle is kicking ass one of the blood oranges is looking good and smelling great but the other blood orange and the forum Stomper got hit pretty hard. The blood oranges leaves have started to yellow and the smell It had disappeared. The forum Stomper still smells good but its leaves got hit the hardest. -this is my first indoor soil grow. Before this I grew everything hydroponically and if I dealt with soil, it was all outdoors. Iโ€™ve also grown using cocoa so I had that as a reference. That was a mistake. Growing in cocoa is really hard to drown your plants. Drenching a plant thatโ€™s growing in soil is not a good idea. -It might sound dumb to some of you growers out there, but having a digital meter for your soil is awesome. I stick that thing in there and I stop watering when it tells me that itโ€™s good, highly recommended.

Insane stretch this week.. that single super cropping pinch and lay over a few weeks ago has really paid off. It went from about 6 or 8 inches to almost 20 in two weeks. Looks like I'll be needing to support these side branches toward the end.
