🌿 Week 9: The Grand Root Reveal & Bud Sites Popping! 🏺🥦 Strain: Sticky Broccoli Automatic (Zamnesia) Stage: Mid-Flowering / Bud Development Light Cycle: 18/6 📝 The General Vibe: Welcome to Week 9! The stretch has slowed down, and the "Sticky Broccoli" is officially shifting all her energy into flower production. The canopy is an absolute jungle of tops! Those red and green LST clips did exactly what they were supposed to do, breaking the apical dominance and giving us a beautiful, bushy, multi-topped structure. White pistils are shooting out everywhere, and the bud sites are starting to look like perfect little pompoms. 🏺 The "Vase" Experiment Reveal! This is the moment I’ve been waiting for! I finally pulled back the top layer to check on our hidden structure, and the results are amazing. The main stalk is incredibly thick and woody, and you can see the roots actively gripping and growing right over the little blue vase nested in the soil. The experiment is a massive success so far! She is anchored in deep and looking incredibly sturdy. 🍽️ The Menu (Nutrients) - Powered by Plagron, Hesi & BioBizz: Continuing to push the bloom nutrients to help these flowers swell. Plagron Green Sensation: (The secret weapon for heavier yields and resin production) BioBizz Bio-Down: Keeping the pH dialed in around 5.9 - 6.0 for the coco mix. 🌿 Plant Progress & Observations: Structure: Bushy and dense. The internodal spacing is tight, which means these colas are going to stack up nicely. Health Check: I am noticing some slight yellowing/crisping on the very tips and edges of some of the older, mid-tier fan leaves. It looks like a little bit of nutrient burn from pushing the bloom feeds, or a slight pH fluctuation. I'll be keeping a close eye on the runoff and might dial the EC back just a fraction on the next watering so she stays happy. Update: 10.03.26 She is getting better, been giving her Fish-mix and TNT for two times now. 👽 The Garden Guardian: Our heavily tattooed Kewpie garden manager is still holding it down in the corner of the tent. Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.

Since the humidity stayed at a very high level, it was only a matter of time...HORROR!😱 I FOUND BUD-ROT! 😭 On day 73 (=Flowering Day 49) I spotted a white fuzz on my ZHEETOS #2 plant from BIG BUDDHA SEEDS. I took it out and inspected her closer and found budrot on the main stem and in the main bud. I immediately cut off the infected parts and tried to save the rest of the plant. (see first video above) Since I do NOT want to spray my plants with any chemicals, because they are my medicine, I resort to UV-C light. I use the CLEANLIGHT HOBBY UNIT (a UV-C plant protection light from the Netherlands, that kills bacteria, viruses and fungi) and shine the UV-C light on all my plants and the soil-surface in the pots (see second video above). This will kill all the remaining spores of bud-rot (which are a kind of fungus) in my closet and stop it from further spreading to my other plants. I also immediately stop giving any BIO NOVA nutrients from this moment on, although the plants LOVE THEM. But I have to do this in order to flush the plants before harvesting them. I cannot risk and wait until the plants are fully matured, I have to do an emergency flush and harvest as soon as possible, so I dont loose the rest of my medicine to bud-rot. Hold your thumbs that I can save them for a week longer...👍

FBA2506-week 1 of Veg This week has been wild. Once the roots made a foundation the upper growth has been explosive the last few days. Really cool to watch and see the daily growth. I introduce calmag and grow nutrients this week starting at a 1/4 strength. All in all they've responded well showing no burn what so ever. Happy Growing

Currently checking daily and tying away branches/leaves to give the buds more light and watering when the soil is dry. Currently my plants drink exactly 1,5L a day. I have the feeling that the right plant is lacking a bit of potassium. I'll leave everything as it is for now because the left plant (fresh new soil) is growing well. Since the right plant is quite bushy anyway, I'll defoliate it again later and remove any lower shoots. I started adding the Bio PK booster towards the middle of the first week of flowering, 2ml per liter of water; as the pH value drops too much, I correct it upwards with Biobizz pH up - from pH 5.5 to 6.5 for 3L, I add a total of 39 drops. My water is mixed as follows: 3L osmosis water, plus 6ml CalMag, 6ml BioPK 5-8 and 39 drops of pH + BioBizz.

Pre98 Bubba , oh how I’ve missed you for so many years! These ones came out absolutely gorgeous! Loving the the purple phenos 😍 ! These ladies liked to stretch quite a bit so you’re gonna want to use some LST on em but I also recommend topping at least 6 times to get a better bang on your yield ! Expect nice tight purple buds with a tremendous amount of frost covering, some of the frostiest Bubba I’ve ever had! Over all I give it 10 stars an would definitely over an over run this strain!

Dos Si Dos # 33 ready for drying in the jar, honest weight (53,5g) seeing the structure which was very small I would have expected something less.. but I am very satisfied. the quality of this weed is absolutely at the top, the taste is very well defined.. when smoked it makes your nose tingle,flavor it is mainly pure lemon with a hint of mint in it. even the strong smell induces an entire room in a few seconds without even smoking it yet. I also collected a 0.4g of scissor hash which turned out very well. it is my favorite in this crop because it surprised me in everything both for its unique terpene profile and for its yield that I never expected given its size compared to wedding cakes. the total weight therefore of all three plants is (135.5g) and a total trim of (44.9g) that according to the calculations even of these crops I reached (1g/watt) precisely. (And im not a pro) I am certainly satisfied with that. 🙌🏻💚

I'm watering her almost every day. 2 lt. The only mistake I make is the pebble at the bottom of the pot. Keep plant dry. But increase ph the water stagnant. She is a cover of buddies. Short internode. Compared to hydro.

Okay so I'm trying something new, since I've gone away from a switch to water for the last week flush I harvested the tops and best smalls and packed the cannatrol full. I'm giving the under growth a bit more time to rippen before I harvest that for the the freezer. If this turns out to be a bad idea I'll not do it again in the future. The last long video is what's left in the tent right now. Let me know if any of you have experience doing this. Updated with a bunch of pictured of dried and cured. Ended up with 186g of beautiful flower. 72g of untrimmed smalls I'll make into RSO, I have a lot of back and nerve pain and RSO hands down the only thing that brings me actual relive, I'm late to the party on this one but I set a side part of the grow for it now. I let the under canopy and shorter tops go another 10 days feed at half strength and I'm glad I did, it ripened up nicely and definitely got a lot of color. I forgot to get pictures of that harvest but I will when I pull it from the freezer to wash. My test jar of this washed at 4+% (the last picture). Last update will be results of that wash. Last update on this one, I added a couple hash/rosin pics at the end. She washed from plant to rosin at 4.03% the terps are musky skunk, sweet pastries, and fresh Linen. I'd definitely grow this one again.

Days 92 - 98 (from sprout) 8/23/24 - 8/29/24 Loompa's Headband x TK fading hard this week - checking trichome color through a 15x loupe, needs more time The Good Shit drinking a gallon of water a day but slowly backed off near end of week - my guess would be a 14-week flowering period for this genotype before harvest quality I'm pretty much watering daily a 1/4 gallon to Blue Nose Pit or less to keep mulch layer from drying out Sweet 16 S1 takes the win for most trichome coverage out of the garden, has the most up-front aroma out of the geno hunt PAR is all over the place on this one and totally messed up, after this week I'll raise the light and focus on the appropriate PAR for canopy of The Good Shit Pest Management slipping too, fungus gnats are repopulating and it seems the ecosystem has encountered a serious imbalance of beneficials and predators that normally kept soil/mulch in-check Plan on short-term remedying this with a top-dress of remaining compost + em bokashi and a moderate drench of EM5 following with repeated treatments of enzymes (tweetmint) Long term solution may need a predator/beneficials kit and/or higher quality vermicompost after knocking them back with enzymes

Been feeding just water ready for the chop. Some of them have all brown pistils and have pretty much stopped all together. The kalimist indica pheno is still flowering so I'll let it go until it looks ripe 👍

4/1/21 - Both plants were transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots with Ocean Forest soil by Fox Farm Nutrients. I will be using plain water for the next two weeks to allow the plants to get acclimated. (See video) 4/2/21 - Watered both plants with water (ph 6) noticed the grow room is a little humid throughout parts of the day but I will be installing the fan today. Both plants seem to be adjusting well. 4/3/21 - Plants are doing good. Watered them with ph 6 water. Noticing some yellow on the bottom leaves. 4/4/21 - The ends of the leaves are turning a light yellow from nutrient burn as a result of the ocean forest soil. Started low stress training today, added two clips per plant (see photo) 4/5/21 - The soil is still moist from yesterday, I’m not going to water today. They are still in the low stress training clips. You can really see the nutrient burn today. (See video) 4/6/21 - I watered the plants today with water (ph 6). Not much change in appearance from yesterday. 4/7/21 - Plants are looking great, the nutrient burn is starting to fade a little. I will be starting a new week tomorrow. (Continuing with water, and low stress training)
