Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. I need to flush them and lay off the base nutes a bit. I've removed Bio Grow from the mix and added more Bud Candy and Cal-Mag, I hope that plants will like it. ✌️ 21.4. - Watered 💧 23.4. - Seems that plants are okay with the new mix and upped amount of water per plant 😎 Watered 💧 26.4. - Week wrap-up: Plants are thriving, however Jack and Lemon are getting a bit yellow. Week 4 – Flowering (Day 22–28) 🌸🌱 At the end of Week 3 (Day 21) we carried out a deeper round of defoliation and some lollipopping. By now the stretch is coming to an end, with the plants settling close to their final height. We’ve also stopped foliar feeding, since every single plant is now covered in developing buds. To keep everything protected, we refreshed the beneficial insects, better be safe than sorry, how we say in German, sicher ist sicher. Already in this early stage of flowering, we can clearly spot differences in structure, bud formation and even the first aromas. Some phenos are showing exceptional promise — those will be the ones we’ll highlight more in the coming updates. 🔎 Pheno notes so far: ZR 43 – very nice structure, already showing early bud size. ZR 68 – robust side branching, healthy development. ZR 70 – compact flowers, stacking well. ZR 82 – tall, vigorous growth, strong flower initiation. ZR 30 - Fasciation, looks very interesting, I'm quite interested on how it ends up looking, having mutations like these in the grow room are not necessarily what one is looking for commercially speaking but for me is quite special, like a Zoap Rosé special edition! 😝 Zoap Rose phenos bring floral aromas with acrid undertones, giving them a distinctive edge already at this stage.

week 4 from seed. we're up to 600 PAR, 1250 EC, same 5.7-6.2 range for PH. going in once/twice a day and continuing to LST the quadline branches and do some light defoliation. everything looks pretty healthy. one plant did have a small split in the main stem from pulling the branches down too hard, we'll see if she recovers. got into some IPM with crop defender 3 - just a blend of botanical oils (and i use yucca for emulsifier) really on the fence about flipping to flower this week, but my girlfriend who knows nothing about growing said I should wait one more week so that's what I'm going to do.

Same as week 15, missing a lot of pictures in the timelapse. The storm caused part of the seal to be broken, and the person taking care of it this week was unable to fix it properly. I only got to fix it about two days after, so there has been some light pollution :(.

This week I transplanted from a small pot into the DWC system. No prob. Already has roots so should be a smooth transition.

The smell of this baby is crazy and really fruity. The buds are really getting sticky.. It's a pleasure to grow this strain and really getting hard not to harvest, but I still do not see amber trichomes yet and I hope buds will grow bigger the next couple weeks.. But looks so awesome now. #fastbuds is awesome...

3-11-2019 This Northern is slowly bouncing back but the damage has been done, she is producing but not how I would like it. Hopefully she will produce some tight buds. 5-11-2019 Pump Quit- Not much I can do at this point other than go it as Deep Water Culture. Root mass is to well established to attempt a removal.

9-3 Little light burn, bumped up. Good and steady. One of her cotyledon came out black and a little smaller than the other. Seems to be ok. More worried about the light. 😂 9-6 Good growth. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. They looking good, but temp is a little too high. It is what it is One of the plants (In front to the left) is more frosty, with less amber pistils. But overall the trichomes are starting to go from crystal to cloudy. Week started 27/09 Still losing lots of leaves per day (due to yellowing). #3 doesn't have anymore fan leaves and some bud leaves are looking droopy. I'm hoping they will make it through to harvest without the need to spray Neem. Getting some Nematodes this week to put into the soil in case it turns out I have root aphids. The indoor setup was complete this week and the plants are now growing indoors full time. Still having problems maintaining heat in the tent without the humidity rising very high. I'm stopping the extraction fan at various intervals to raise the temp of the room but the humidity levels shoot towards 90% with the lights on. #1 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 #2 28/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.1. Runoff measured at pH5.9, EC 1.11ms 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 - developing some nice colas. #3 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 - whilst it has lost a majority of its leaves, there is a nice cola forming at the top. #4 30/09 - 25ml/5L Flores at pH6.3. 03/10 - 25ml/5L Flores and PK 13/14 at pH6.5 The White Widow looks like will be ready in a couple of weeks. That was the last feed.
