It's exciting to start a new journey! I started by trying to germinate 2xN.Ts. and they both made it 👌
This time I washed and buffered the coco with CalMag and mixed it with a good amount of Perlite for better drainage and aeration.
This time around I’m challenging myself to get up to 200 likes, quite a high aim I know, let’s see if me and Thunderfuck can make it. .
If you have something in mind you would 👉 Like 👈 to see or learn, be so kind and let me know ;)
Things are looking great, I've put them under the LED this week so they can get used to it... and to get a better video quality :D
I'm mostly hand watering at the moment one time a day.
Things are starting to be exciting. The NT is a bit slower than the Fat Bananas, even so, they developed nicely this week. Planning to top them at the 6th node this time and give around 5-6 weeks of veg.
Girls are looking good, though they could have been much larger by this time. I wish I gave them more light and more nuts in the previous weeks. Well, they will have to spend more time in veg. They got topped this week, at the 6th node, and I will do it once more before flipping them, so in total there will be 10 lower branches + 4 tops.
I also started misting with CalMag just in case.
Pretty nice plants! They enjoyed the higher amounts of nuts, even though they showed a bit of Nitrogen toxicity, nothing serious, a bit of 'claw' on the new leaves, but they seem to handle it fine so far.
They probably tripled in size this week.
They got topped the second time this week.
They are bushy with thick branches. I hope they will pick up a bit more on hight the next week!
The two main events this week: Defoliation and training.
The ladies seem to take it well, even though they are not the most fun to play with. Very bushy, sturdy and quite inflexible, I already broke 3 branches by mistake on the one that is the hardest to work with. And I did ended up doing lots of HST on her, cuz it was impossible to do LST.
Apparently the nuts I use have a rather low amount of Phosphorus... I had the same problem in my last grow (dark leaves, slow bud development)... unfortunately that time I didn't get what was happening.
So I started giving them "Bud Explosion" now, 2ml/l, which basically contains a mix of Phosphorus and Potassium, and the improvement was almost instantly noticeable!
I'm thinking they get 4-5 more days to recover in veg. then I flip them.
The NTfucks are looking great! Even the more rigid one got looser, so it's easier to work with it, it also showed signs of pre-flower, I guess it's because I stressed it quite a lot last week.
I'm really looking forward to seeing them flower!
The first week of flowering went great! The girls stretched nicely and they are growing vigorously. The pistils started showing up quite quickly, only a few days after I flipped them. I increased the PK as they showed slight signs of deficiency.
They are packed with shoots, almost too much I would say, I hope they will have enough space for the buds to develop properly and healthily.
I'm very happy about how the buds have developed in this 2nd week of flower!
The girls stretched a lot this week, about 15cm. The bud sites are a bit too close to each other, but I can't do much about it now, I will have to put up to the extra work when harvesting.
They get fed 6 times a day and they drink a looot, about 2,8l per day 😮
I'm doing a flush today, the first one, to get the roots rinsed out of any accumulated salts.
It has been a good week. The NTs are fattening and getting covered in ice! They are also loosing most of the lower leaves, I'm a bit afraid that they lose too many, I hope not!
Now after two weeks of stretch it seems like they stopped ascending.
I can't wait to see how this coming week will go!
It's been a pretty good week. I did quite a big defoliation, as things were getting crowded. The girls are having a very strong diesel smel!
I switched to a more flowering dominant feeding, I decreased the Nitrogen and pumped up the phosphorus and potassium.
I will soon do a flush, as it looks like the nuts are starting to accumulate at the roots.
I'm quite impressed by this week's development. The girls are starting to show their fatness. I did a flush at the beginning of the week and it helped a lot. Now I'm starting to give them less and less nuts, as they show obvious tip burns.
They are getting so so packed with crystals!
This has been one more great week. The girls look good and are starting to head towards the finish line.
I lowered the nuts to 1,58EC and they seem to like it like that. I also started using the runoff water to hand water(1,3l per plant, 1.4EC) them both in the morning and in the evening to prevent build-up of salts.
I did a big defoliation right at the end of this week, so the lower buds can get more light and to increase air flow.
I think 2 more weeks and they're done.
It's been a great week! The girls are getting very close to finish, one more week left. Trichomes are 60% milky.
I reduced the nuts to 1.02 EC and next week they go down to 0.02 EC.
I did the last big defoliation, both for more light penetration and better ventilation. All in a wish to keep them healthy on the last 100m run.
I didn't think they would take so long, this is the 8th week of flowering. I did want to take them down at the end of this week, but they were not just ready, so they're getting a few more days, only a few :D
On the other side, I'm so happy they get a proper flush and get to show their autumn colors!
These are the last pictures before harvest. Such beautiful plants! The got flushed for about 10 days.
A harvest report will follow as soon as they are dried and tested ;)
Super nice stuff! The high is just what I like, a perfect indica/sativa mix. I can be active on it and I can also fall asleep well. I definitely recommend it!
This one and Gorilla Zkittles from Barney's are on the top of the list!
Should I mention that it's a big yielder, it's amazing how much these plants can pack!
The smell is not the most appealing for my tast, quite pungent and diesel-like fresh and then turning more nutty after drying.
Harvested at Day 59 and 61.
Pretty nice experience growing these two ladies!
They enjoyed lots of nuts, and reacted well to training. Funny enough the one plant that was very bushy and rigid in the beginning and which I treated quite rough(I broke 2-3 branches during training) got to yield the most, 169g, my record on one plant so far.
They had no problem being 30-40cm away from the LED.
They were quite easy to clip, with well-difined leaves.
The smell is not the most appealing, quite pungent and diesel-like fresh and then turning more nutty after drying.
Sherbet Queen 103g
Fat Bananas 272g
North Thunderfuck 321g
Total 696g with 480w(from wall) LED. This new technology blows my mind! 👍
@shiwnouk,
Thank you! It’s not all as pro as I wish it was, but it works fine for now 😊
The vent is a UFO Ventilator 250 m3/h 100 mm. It looks very similar to the one you mentioned.
