Day 02 - Tuesday - 09/23/25 - Total Days: 163 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages ~[+01:00] - Temps: 86.0°F [30.0°C] - Humidity: 78.4% - VPD: 0.92 kPa - Soil %: [49, 41, 34, 53, 43, 40, 43, 45] ----------------------------------- - [13:03]: Time to start prepping for my first attempt at tissue culture! --- Ordered and received the AC Infinity PH Meter PRO [AC-PHM7] --- Since this is a brand new unit, the probe sensor needs to be cleaned and conditioned for calibration. --- For proper storage and conditioning, the meter includes a bottle of KCL (Potassium Chloride) storage solution. --- For a basic 2-point calibration, the pH meter also includes 7.00 pH [Mid] and 4.00 pH [Low] calibration solution. --- The pen does support a 3-point calibration, but does not include the 10.1 pH [High] calibration solution. For growing, the pH should never get that high anyways. The ideal averages are all below 7.00 pH [Mid to Low Points]. --- The meter also includes solutions for conductivity calibration, but don’t need these for tissue culture. --- Okay let's go! - [13:09]: Took the cap off of the unit and examined the new sensor probe. --- There was a tiny bit of condensation and a micro drops of the KCL storage solution in the cap. --- The glass sensor was clean, but the seal for the cap had a bit of mineral build-up. This is apparently normal for new meters. --- Swirled the probe in distilled water for a bit making sure to fully saturate the sensor and to rinse off the old KCL solution. --- Wiped the mineral deposits off with a clean paper towel. Made sure to be gentle around the glass probe and tried not to touch it much. --- Also cleaned and rinsed the cap with distilled water and dried with a paper towel. - [13:16]: Opened and poured about 3/4 of the KCL solution into the cap. --- Placed and probe cap back on making sure the sensor is fully soaking in the storage solution. --- Done! - [13:19]: The unit should be ready for a first-time calibration after a 30-minute soak, but going to be soaking for a lot longer. --- The probe needs to stay stored in this KCL solution and will top off with more as needed. --- Plan to calibrate the meter right before checking and adjusting the pH for the establishment media. --- Compared to my last pH meter (cheap Amazon pen), this one is a huge upgrade in both accuracy and complexity. --- Will need to do a bit of research on how to calibrate and use this meter properly. - [16:36]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent. --- With the recent TKO disaster in the main tent, glad that everything is looking healthy in the veg garden! --- All mothers (including TKO) are looking green and getting bigger! --- Now that the watering system is working again, the Heady OG mother is looking a lot better and she is starting to perk up. But have plans to try again and grow the exact cultivar next cycle from clone. --- But Heady OG is looking healthy and buds are getting thick and frosty! --- Plan to take microscope samples next week and will try to decide a final harvest day which should be within 3-4 weeks. --- Oh! Day 82 - Added a new nutrient to bulk up on PK from Canna. Guide says to do this only once, so fingers crossed. Still trying to figure out how close I am. I keep seeing other pictures of what look to be near leafless buds, and the buds look absolutely huge. The problem for me as a first time grower is that I cannot figure out what the scale is, and so have no idea if the photos I see are very close up or not. Also, I keep seeing others pictures of what look to be really extended and pointy buds, and mine look nothing like those either. Can't tell if it's the angle or the actual shape. I'm sure I'll learn, and I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track. Loving the learning though. Such fun. And macro photography is hard.

Day 43 : Watering with co2 tab / 5L. Also added food again because i think they need it. Increased ppm to 850. Maybe the next one will be pure water. Ventilation works all the time when lights are on. Temp and humi are stable and this is good for the girls. Although she is indica, she still grows. 9 cm in 3 days. So i guess this is the reason her buds are a bit behind. Patience is the key always. Also removed some burned leaves from all ladies. Edit (Day 47) : Watering with co2 tab every 5L. I watered with juices again at 850ppm because i felt that they need it. Only WC drank pure water because of burns. She grow 13cm in 4 days. An indica pheno stretches like she is in preflowering stage. And this i think is happening. At start she took a lot of air and maybe she felt cold. So, now she started again to develop. I make a prediction that her buds will be really fat. She is very healthy and responses absolute perfect to the nutrient schedule.

Ladys growing Great strong and bushy.. doing light defoliation and lst and they handle it well. Promising strain💪 can't wait to start flowering.

Did a lot of training and defoliation. I will move her into a bigger tent now as shes about to start flowering hopefully by end of next week 😍. Will also be using scrog net and will add Bud Candy along with the other nutrients : PH perfect Micro,Grow, Bloom

It's been a fairly uneventful week in the 5x5. I cut down my Blackberry auto the other day and I've been thinking of getting seeds ready for the stuff I plan to grow outside this summer...With my currents cycle of plants being deep in to flower, I have time to look forward at upcoming projects. The Mimosa cake auto is one of those plants currently deep into flower. She's been giving off a dank smell of earthy/fruity/spicy terps. She is extremely dense and sticky to the touch. I find myself cutting fan leaves off daily due to her busy and stout stature. The only down side I have to her is the fact that she's going to take around 100 days from germination to harvest. Process/ Environment changes: - Turned off one TS1000 after I cut down the Blackberry auto. I did this to try and cool the tent down. Higher temps outside creates an increase I'm ambient air temp in my basement. - Fed Advanced Nutrients Bloom nutes at a rate of 1.5 mL/gal - no longer using a fish tank water heater to heat my water reservoir due to increased ambient air temperatures in basement Trichomes still mostly clear... I'm on day 84 post germination today as I write this.

2024-06-22 Yesterday i had to Harvest them, weather was very bad . The are having tropical Climate in the raintime, very Humid and rainy, sometimes changes to cold and windy so very bad Season until now. They would have needed 7 days more to ripe perfect. But they started to mold. so i harvested them quickly, and sorted out all moldy stuff this is very sad. Buds are more open and supersticky. you can see with eyesight the loooong and dense Trichomes, iam going to add more Pics if they are cured and i add some Pics from the microscope. i give this Strain 8 from 10 Points for Outdoor Growing, because of their tendency to catch mold , despite the fct they were under a Roof, But yeah we had avery cold, rainy and humid Season i really like to grow them again, but indoors!!! because of their Juicyness

As you can see, LST works well, Gorilla Strawberry tolerates LST very well, in almost all plants I managed to keep the branches at the same height I made a minor defoliation of large leaves. The rest I slide under the twigs every day so that they do not make a shadow. Due to a high wind that lasted 2 days and LST one of my Gorilla Strawberry broke in half and holds on about 20% of the stem. I was thinking about trying the method HST and I will remove the cracked part of the plant, but I did not have the heart to cut it off, so I decided to use the patch that I carry with me in the first aid kit if I cut myself. From two twigs and a patch I made a primitive splint. The next day I took an insulating tape with me into the forest and once again wrapped the splint for better strength.
