Week 9, switching to 12/12, canopy is leveled, plants looks ok, I have 2 monsters turning light green , I will put them on a Feed Water Feed W F... schedule, feeding them more often than the others until they kick back ! I don’t really like this, I might run into a serious Nitrogen deficiency in 3 weeks if I don’t take particular care with these 2 .... they will probably get a lil foliar spray with some N if it doesn’t go well ! So I left for a week and had a trusted friend take over watering duties. A few things of note: I was concerned over overheating the grow so I turned the power down to 75% and ran the light up another 6 inches. This had the unfortunate effect of less airflow and cooler temps so I got powdery mildew that I would be fighting for the remainder of the grow. That aside, the plants looked way more mature when I returned home, with nice trichome development and density.

Growing out really nicely. Buds are fattening up, nice tricome production, nice smell. Harvest soon…

After four days of darkness it is time for harvest. Day 113 Flower day 66 Christmas harvest After I divided the plant in two, it was hung up and dried at 19°C for 8 days. It was then dry trimmed. Cream Caramel = 73g buds + 22g trimm

1/8/2023: chop day for the Newberry! Like the other plants, I will be drying the whole plant, along with the Orange Bubblegum in a 2x2 AC Infinity tent, with the temp and humidity as close as I can get to 60° F and 60% humidity. The portable AC unit and humidifier do a good job keeping me in range. This was very easy plant to grow. Other than a few nanners the last week in flow, I had no problems with her. Smells amazing and looks amazing too. Can't wait to try growing this one again.

On day 1 I adjusted the PH of the rez up to 6.2. I increased average ppfd to 972, with the highest ppfd on a top at 1500 ppfd lets see how she reacts and if she likes the intensity I will keep it steady till the end if not back to lower ppfd again. On day 6 I changed out the rez and ph to 6.2. Buds are growing and putting on weight very compact buds.

As I was trimming the lower area, I was bending the plant over 2/3 the way and there was no breakage. T3 got the same trimming but removed fewer leaves than T2. I also washed out their drain pots. For some reason, algae is developing in the catchments. I am now within 3 weeks. RQS says harvest 70-75 days or 40-45 days of flower. Harvest is getting close. Day 1: I got two of these Sweet Gelato seeds free from @Zamnesia. I’m only planting one at the moment . I’m really excited about growing it. I’ve really loved any Gelato I have tasted. I have my substrate prepared and my veg space is ready to go. I have put the seed in Ph’d water for 24hrs first and I will add to the soil tomorrow night. I’ll wet the soil down tomorrow morning with Ph’d water and I’ll put it the veg space with the lights on to warm up the soil before adding the seed. Day 2: Seed has been moved into the substrate and pot is now in Veg Space under 40watt CFL bulbs but once the seed germinates I will switch on the 200watt CFL. This is my least favourite part of growing, the wait for the seedlings 🌱 to break through the soil. I’ve planted the seed to one side of the pot as I find this makes LST easier. The plant will be spending it’s first 2 to 3 weeks in this veg space while I wait for my Purple Punch to finish in my main grow space. 72hrs Later: Houston we have lift off 🚀 The seed first started to peed through the soil after only 48hrs. That’s the fasted I’ve ever seen, hopefully it’s a sign of things to come. Leaves still haven’t opened but it’s fully above ground now.
