Day 8 - First official day of veg and both ladies are right on time for a small adjustment in lighting, PH and nutrients. 10ml of Hydro A & Hydro B were added to both buckets (10L of water in each bucket) and the Milwaukee PH controller was set to work. Starting at a PH of around 7.8, it slowly worked down to a perfect 6.0 over about 50minutes. The lights were readjusted to be 60cm from the seedlings who are all between 8-10cm tall and the intensity of the lights increased to about 70% brightness. Day 9 - Cheech is taking nicely to the adjustment in light and nutrients, but CG 1 is looking a little bit too perky. Going to give her 24 hours to adjust. Day 10 - We have finally renamed CG 1. Fellow enthusiasts, meet Venezia. Day 12 - The root systems are clearly visible in the ladies today Day 13 - The ladies are looking well today. Venezia seems to be showing some light signs of heat stress with slight curling of the leaves. The lights are due to be adjusted tomorrow to account for the seedlings growth over the last week.

Heavy defoliation this week of fan leaves and flowering sites. I wanted to let her grow naturally to see her potential, but due to size and room in the tent I had to strip her. I removed any flowering sites that were farther than 30 inches from the light. I thought she would be stunted this week but she still grew 7 inches. Damn fastbuds.

*Week 6 of flowering 10/01* Critical +2.0 - Apple Fritter Both plants are nearing harvest and have maxed out at a height of 48 inches. Buds have developed heavy trichomes and are giving off a bright and vibrant smell. 85% of both plants have grown in their orange hairs and have a bright green and orange tint, Today will be the last nutrient feed, I will be using the "Lotus Carboflush" starting tomorrow (10/02) to remove the salt build up until harvest which will be next week (10/09) * 10/8 - Cut down* Both are heavy on top - Covered in trichomes - smells deep (Citrus) Dry trimming in two weeks - aiming for 14 day cure. *Day 2 Dry Hang Video uploaded 10/09* *10/15 - Harvest should be completed by the end of this week - 10/20*

Results without automation; everything is done manually, from irrigation to the application of preventative measures

Officially week 7 Dec 31: Came back a week later to very heavy pots, needed 36 hour drying period, not happy, smaller plant has tips of leaves curling down, some like taco, dryed out the pots and went back to normal conservative feeding, need to fine tune the auto irrigation setup before I use it again for sure. All in all, nothing crazy happened. Really cool to see a plant be small, but way bigger after a week of vacation. First grow seems to be going pretty good! PS: I think my hygrometer is broken, saying 85-100% RA even when I significantly improve airflow and it doesn't seem anywhere near that. Gonna do the salt paste test on the hygrometer . Jan 1: I recalibrated my hygrometer and it鈥檚 working great, weird leaf curling of smaller plant still happening but seems to be improving, big plant is frosty and fat for week 7, seems to be at same stage in development as smaller plant but the pheno is beautiful.

Well unfortunately Misty was chopped ahead of schedule because on Monday morning I found the dread BUD ROT (Botrytis) infecting one of the side colas. I discarded that cola and am drying the rest.
