Hey Guys! Super excited this week! I've really been wanting to try growing outdoors, so I built a cheap hoop house! Got most of this stuff for the frame from Lowes under 300$. All the soil products I got from GrowGreenMI. Some really cool people out there. One thing I'm super worried about is drainage. Right now those holes are about 4 feet deep and they've got about 4 inches of water in them already. What's been cautioned is that, eventually, about 2 months in these plants roots will grow and reach the bottom and cause root rot to form. One of the biggest things I was trying to be wary of was causing root rot. This was also the biggest precautionary measure I took when mixing the soil. Adding the extra perlite, coco, and clay pebbles. Best advice right now is to build the soil up on the holes another 16 to 18 inches and possible stick a PVC pipe down to the lowest drainage point of the hole to allow some of that natural occurring water to evaporate. Any advice anyone has on it is welcomed! Making a compost tea for the soil outdoors, will probably put 2 cups in each RDWC bucket as well and let that do it's magic for a day or so before nutrient change. Raised the bed about 14 inches as well! All the seeds sank! Off to a good start! Lol

Прошло примерно 10 дней после смены светового режима и подруга гидропоника зацвела она выросла крупной девочкой . даже интересно что будет через пару месяцев при зацветании растение очень много потребляло воды и питательных веществ постоянно падал ppm показатель приходилось добавлять новый раствор , делая его крепче но сейчас в конце дня измерения ppm поднимаются и я выравниваю его ,добавляя обычную воду и очень интересно , что ph остается нейтральный около 7 и кажется растение это вполне устраивает не нужно постоянно подливать кислоту , что-бы держать ph на отметке 5,5 Вот такие дела буду дальше наблюдать и ухаживать за цветами

This week has been wild. I had to cut the sides of the greenhouse as the plants had it bursting at the seams. These girls are all flowering beautifully and starting to frost up. Happy Growing.

She’s picking up speed! Guessing another 2.5-3 weeks maybe— hoping for 2! She’s piney, sticky as all get up and just a beauty! Loving this plant! ✌️🏻💚

She is a monster measuring 1.94 cm 6'4 ft the same as me. She grew slow due to cloudy days. she is 2 different processes the bottom is the list and with big buds ready to be cut. The upper part has just begun flowering. her buds were cut at the bottom with 5% 15% amber in different buds. There are some big buds. I hope almost all ready as soon as possible this spring

Will be working more feed into watering this week. They look thirsty today. I think we are well past the seedling stage

Update 20 Jan 2021 - Well starting the cure a bit earlier than I’d like cause I’m having issues getting the humidity up so she dried up quick. Working on rehydrating her a bit and have her in mason jars now. Ended of with 88 grams of rock solid buds. Still want it to rehydrate and cure a bit before trying her out. What can I say, a very simple and easy grow. Had absolutely no issues during the grow and ended up with 380 grams of SOLID wet bud. Even some of the lower buds that didn’t get much light are pretty rock solid. Going by the smell and solidness of the buds, I got a feeling this is gonna be a too 2 strain, if not number 1. Looking forward to growing this one again and as soon as I harvest another plant, I’ll probably start another one of these.

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. Love every plant each one is growing differently stacking different even the visual difference of one strain growin two different ways combined smells of diesel, pez candy and lemons

They just keep stretching! The "smaller" plant added 10" of vertical growth this week alone. Busy week structurally as I had to move lights and wires to adjust for this change in size. Excellent bud growth on one, the now taller girl just showing bud sites formation.

Week 10 not long now these smell amazing like sweet blueberry and there's definitely something I've had before when I've bought some personal but can't quite get my head round the smell. started introducing overdrive now as they start to finish fattening and ripening up can definitely see swelling going on over the last 3 days thanks for viewing and happy
