To push the pest resistance test even further (so far, the plants have shown resilience against fungus gnats, thrips, and excessive humidity), it’s getting too risky to allow the gnats to continue affecting my roots. As a test, I sieved fine sand from my garden and spread it over the soil to eliminate the gnats' living space. I gave the plants a good watering before applying the sand, and now I’ll leave it like this for a week. By the end of the week, I plan to repot them anyway, so we’ll see if this method clears up the gnat problem.

This week has been stressful for me. I discovered 3 types of bug invaders.. I had some fungus gnats some spider mites and also some thrips... Bastards! I have deployed predators to deal with the canopy in the form of Amblyseius cucumeris and Amblyseius swirskii. I also deployed a platoon of lacewing larvae. For the fungus gnats I used nematodes watered into the root system. I now need to keep an eye for any further signs. I lost a lot of leaf to the pests I hope I did not take to much but anything I chopped was eaten and dead already. She needed a trim anyway and I did discover a load of bud sites that were covered up. I plan to strip the flower room out after this grow and do a deep clean and reseal everything. This will also be the last grow using biobizz range as I do. I was told before that I don't need to use all their product line and I feel I know what I like and need now. 2nd girl still falls behind, I decided to use a scrog to help her / or help the canopy situation as the height difference and even lighting distribution started to be complicated to mantain got little tip burn so I dialed back and pit Grow aside. From top you can nicely see which girl is which. Margot having more poison green top leaves. Is she angry?

The ladies are coming along beautifully. I did a flush last week and switched the nutrients. I also did a little defoliation and the heads are starting to develop nicely.

We are full go on flower for the girls. The Purple Punch buds are looking great and smell fantastic already. My inexperience growing shows in the fact that I should have topped the tallest ones one or two more times. I’ll watch early intermodal growth in future grows. I appreciate any thoughts or comments.
