Okay so I came up with this incredible method of training that I call "root lining".I figured this out years ago in outdoor season when a deer bulldozed through my med crop and knocked a sweet lady over, that started it all. The plant was completely parallel to the ground with roots growing out of the nodes where contact was made with the ground at the stock. Long story short she ended up being a 14 footer with 6 foot whale dicks! That gave me this little idea that's been non stop producing top quality fat resinous buds. This method increases nutrient uptake and makes a huge difference in quality and size. I essentially main line, really low to the ground, until the stock makes full contact with the ground. I then gently rub the downside of the stock with the back of a butter knife to speed things up and break down the chlorophyll layer. Then I add remo roots gel (see all videos). I then add a sprinkle of coco on top just to barely cover the stock (dont add to thick of a layer as this might "choke" and rot the stock) and mist that spot 2-3 times a day. 3 days later and boom! She'll be pumping out roots and go into full beast mode. Give it a try and you'll never go back!

Lots going on this week. Prince (LST’d Purple#1 - my favorite in structure) turned out male and I caught it just a day or two after moving him into his final 25l pot. He got a bit of a trim, re-repotted back to his 7l pot, and moved into a tiny grow box indoors under 12/12 light. I’ll keep him in there until pollen sacs are ready to go into the fridge to pollinate a bit of one of the Casamance Sativas later. With that 25l pot (and a bunch of fresh soil) now available, I quickly moved Jimi in there and got a growth spurt almost immediately after. With everyone in their final pots the table is getting crowded despite Prince moving out. Made me measure current canopy dimensions to start thinking about how to get them into the tent in a couple weeks. Turns out they’re all around 60x40cm in width/depth, which means I’ll get only three in there at best… In other news - I’ve only just figured out that I might have been overfeeding them. BioBizz nutrient schedule says only up to 3ml/l Grow and I’ve been feeding up to 5ml/l. Does anyone have real experience to share? Most importantly: Can you identify any male or female signs in the close up shots I’ve uploaded?

At the start of Week 4, Purple Punch entered a more active vegetative phase. The plant measures around 11 cm and shows healthy, vibrant green growth with no visible deficiencies. Internode spacing remains tight, indicating good light intensity and stable conditions. This week marks the beginning of structured training. Topping, LST, main-lining, and light defoliation were introduced to shape the plant early and encourage even canopy development. The plant responded well so far, with no signs of stress after the initial training. Feeding is based on a coco setup with balanced nutrients and root support, maintaining a pH of ~5.9 to optimize uptake. Environmental conditions remain stable, supporting recovery and continued growth.

Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. The Strawberry Banana is doing well, I am just doing some LST every couple of days, and she is just starting to stretch. She is still feeding on silica, cal mag, and maxi grow veg nutes by GHE. She seem to be loving this Medic Grow Spectrum X, which I am now running at 70% and also running the UV/IR bars for 1 hour before lights off. I also did a light defoliation this week to allow some airflow and her to focus more energy on the upper branches. I will continue to with LST and veg nutrients until the vertical growth stops, then I will transition her to flower nutrients, and change her lighting to the red spectrum. Day 38 since starting germination: Everything is looking healthy and happy. I’ve continued leaf tucking & LST. Upped the amount of Diamond nectar from 1ml/gal to 4ml/gal and added Liquid Koolbloom to the feed. Keeping the lights on 20/4 has kept the average low temp a degree higher at 66. I also changed the positioning of the lights. Now the Atreum hydra-3200 is providing ~700 ppfd across the canopy. At this point I’m starting to feed for flower so when I did my water change I also changed the orientation of my RDWC buckets. I removed the bucket with the Northern Lights photo period from the loop so it could be connected to its own reservoir and be fed a veg nutrient solution while the Sour D auto gets its bloom nutrients. I’ve seen some saying a ph of ~6.5 is more ideal for autoflowers so I will be trying that this feed…which works out nice because my solution happened to be right there after mixing the nutrients.

Finally finally flipped to flower. Should have happened well over a month ago, maybe 2. (Couldn't, because reasons) This has been a very long Vegg. But it gave me the chance to do all the stress techniques I wanted to try. Officially fixed my deficiency or toxicity as I come to find out.(I think) Waited at least 5 days before I felt safe to flip. Doing literally everything I can to bend this crazy tall girl down and at the right distance from the light. Some branches do a loop da loop. Haha. Some sweep way down then come back up. It's crazy! I am not trying to get quantity here. In fact, I'm doing everything I can to make sure I have very few tops and absolutely no lower canopy anything. Don't want any small larfy buds. Pushing all that energy to the few mainlines to see how large I can get the colas.

I’ll update ya’ll on the smells and tastes after drying and curing! So far both are packed with ice and smell very potent, a little overpowering still, so I want to give it some time before they’re cures and can show their true terpene profile!

Growth is just going amazing. Both phenos are doing just astounding. I'm overall delighted with these genetics. Days 35-37 Growth is going amazing as you can see. When preflower stops. I'll move it under a 300w light from mars-hydro. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks. I have moved over to giving bloom now. She is showing light mag issue so I added Xpert Nutrients Calmag and have been feeding the 20L pot without it fully drying up. I love soil growing. Day 38-39 She's pushing on at an alarming rate. I did not plan for it to be these big. They're going to get 50-100% bigger. So, it's not necessarily their size now. But in 3 weeks. I need to start using IR in my flower tent to push my fems into high gear. Adding 2hrs of extra light should easily cut days to a week depending where they are. Got to also becareful as if I add IR to anything in preflower it'll stretch like crazy. So, im at least 5 days or so before my flower tent will have no preflowering plants just all girls into heavy flower. This plant will STAY away from any IR 730nm for at least another 2-3 weeks. So, she'll do all her preflower under the p1000, which will be an issue in itself. Day 40-42 Took her down to separate her as they're far to close, to big and too many shoots not to do anything will only set the mid-lower parts back weeks during the flower process. I did do some very very light lollipopping at the very ends. The shoots were the smallest. And removed their fans obviously. That's the only defol I've done more or less over this ENTIRE grow. Which is very rare for me not to remove some leaves. With autos, you really shouldn't. Some can take it & still do well. But left alone. And good lighting/airflow throughout the plants. Has really made a huge difference. I separated them as best I could with as minimal stress as possible. It'll take a few hours to look all pretty again when she settles. She'll look really good. No HST/Defols done in any major way. Left it all. And just let them do their thing. Working with it, the smell is LOVELY like a black berry smell. Is absolutely lovely scent she's giving off. But, she is a good candidate for stealth growing. Only when she's worked on does she pong. And you have to be close to smell it. Day 42 and she's doing AMAZING. Really happy to see both phenos looking beautiful & separated really well. Hoping she'll push through pre flower in the next 10-12 days. This week started of good except for ph and iron. I'm phing feed and water to 6 but my naturally 7.6 ph water is raising ph. I've realized my water and organic soil don't have iron in them. It's keeping these from greening up properly. I do have blood meal in the soil but not enough. I'll be adding an iron supplement next week when it arrives. Until then I'm going to feed a little masses and blood meal with the ph water. I've had a difficult learning curve switching from coco and salts to organic and soil. #2 got topped on day 1. I'm going to clone this top so I'll have this plant for the future.

9/25 - Top dressed with 3-9-4 flower girl a couple days ago. It had been 3 weeks since my last feed. Also watered on 9/22 with Fish Shit, CalMag Plus, and Tree Trunk at my usual doses. The plants look amazing. Flowering is such a beautiful process. Can't wait for the next few weeks! I've been doing light defoliation every day to keep top bud sites in the light and also keep airflow going. Lesson learned, 2 plants in a tent this size with the way I train and top is plenty! Otherwise I run out of room! 9/27 - Did some defoliation and lollipopping today. Will likely water tomorrow. 9/28 - Watered today with my usual nutrient combo described in this weekly entry. 9/29 - Plants are SO happy. Leaves are up and praying! Flowers are starting to show a little density too!

21.8. Watermelon Zkittlez have nice small fresh buds full of pistils! It have strong sweet smell. It reminds me strawberry. Zkittlez is ready to harvest I see some amber trichomes, she smells strong like fresh tropical fruits. Guava x Gelato is ready to harvest too. She smell sweet and very pine. I see more amber trichomes.
