Royal Gorilla - Purple Pheno

Mr_Motalovah Royal Gorilla Characteristics Genetics: Sour Dubb x Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel Indica/Sativa: 50% - 50% Flower indoor: 8-9 weeks Size indoor: 70 - 130 cm THC: 23% - 27% In the past I've had a really good experience with Royal Queen Seeds One of my best harvests so far was from a Pineapple Kush - RQS It was outdoors in 56 liter fabric pots 210CM tall it was a beauty harvesting 356G Given the outdoor experience I decided to try them out indoors. I bought a 3 pack of Royal Gorilla because that high THC level is quite appealing. I dropped two seeds in a cup of water and the next morning placed them in humid paper towels. One of the seeds was dead, nothing happened after 14 days. The second seed took 4 days to show a little tail at about day 6 it had a long enough tail to be planted. Planted seed in 500ml cup Took about 2 days to sprout. She's growing very slowly compared to the other strains dropped on the same night. So I'm having to take extra care of this one. Placed a cup over it to for extra humidity and it seems like that did the job so far, I guess she's just a bit picky. I hope she starts growing normal soon, *fingers crossed* Either way I've got that third seed ready, I know they say third one's a charm but I hope this one comes through.

Mr_Motalovah This week I had a big problem with my lights. 😭 I had 600w HPS running and first day of the week they blew on me, luckily nothing bad happened to the girls. 😰 Glad there wasn't a fire or anything worse. Given the high risk with HPS lights I decided to go with LED from now on. I went with EasyGrow 800 V2 seems pretty good for my size tent, waiting for them to arrive. While I'm waiting for the new lights I have a 150W CFL lighting going to not disrupt the light schedule and keep the girls going. 👍 They're not growing up as fast as they would but that's normal with the 150W light they're sharing. Good thing is that I can use this week to strengthen up the roots. 💪 This girl is still growing a bit slow but she's still at it.. so I'm happy she hasn't given up yet! 👏 Can't really ask for much with this light so lets see when the new lights arrive... She's looking good though, hope she makes it.

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 This week I got an email from the providers of my lights, and they're going to take 2 more weeks... 😭 It sucks becase i'm going to have to push veg for 2 more weeks atleast... I'll most likely be training them in the mean time. so when the lights arrive i'll give them a couple more weeks to get stronger and then to bloom.. This baby has done good this week, she doubled in size. Can't ask for much with this 150 CFL. Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

After the first bend she took about 48 hours to fully recover. Watering every other day. Lights finally arrived, will be setting them up for next week's diary. Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

Royal Gorilla has taken a major growth spirt this week, new growth everywhere and getting taller. I spread her out a bit doing some LST. She took it great and ket growing. Amazed with how these lights are working for them. Most likely will do some defoliation next week to clear some space, more light penetration and have the main colas grow. Happy with how this girl bounced back, she had time to recover when they were all under the 150W CFL... and now she's at an even height with the others. Watering every other day.. This strain did a major bounce back, at first she was struggling but with the CFL she had time to reach the other strains in height. Now she's accepting the training and growing vigorously. Loving the round slightly flat canopy she's got going. Upped the water amount on this one, she's a drinker now. She's gotten really bushy and healthy but has lime green colored leaves which is curious. I've been watering every other day, one hour before lights out. After every feed there's a noticeable growth the next day. She was struggling the first weeks but now she's doing great. Next week I'll be doing a big defoliation and switching to 12/12 Take care everyone! 👍

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plant. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more room for light. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there was a major change. New growth everywhere, colas started stretching upwards fast. It's like she already knows it's flowering time. Great reaction to the defoliation and 12/12 switch. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how she flowers. Stay safe!

Mr_Motalovah Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Great second week of flower. She’s getting a nice flower stretch. Info and photos were taken 12 days into flower. Beginning of the week was 50cm and is now at 62cm tall. That's 12cm in one week!! 👏👏👏 Feeding 1,5L each, every other day. Will be increasing as they ask for more. How do they ask for more? When feeding if the soil is drier than normal I give a 150-200ml increment of water. I do that until they stop feeding so much then i just maintain that amount. I start reducing if it takes longer to dry. That works good for me. The old finger in the dirt trick. 👍 Nothing like knowing exactly what your ladies need first hand. She’s looking good and healthy. Nice lime green color going.. Plenty of new growth every where. Smell is starting to be a little noticeable but nothing stinky yet. There’s a few main colas that are standing out and stacking nicely. Haven’t done any work on her since the 12/12 defoliation. When 21 days passes I’ll give her a nice defoliation and taking away unwanted under growth. Very happy with how she turned out. Mr_Motalovah Hey Growers & Tokers! Sorry for the delay with the weekly updates, some things I had to attend to but i'm back and at it! Alright, so this week 21 days had passed since the 12/12 switch. So there was a little defoliation done. Taking away all of the big fan leaves and some of that extra bottom growth I didn't want, that tiny twig I left behind in hope that they'd grow.. but they didn't 😑 I won't be taking anything else away from here on out it's just feeding and caring.. maybe pluck a leaf here and there. She's growing nicely, bud sites are stacking up correctly, very happy I didn't give on this one when she was struggling as a seedling. Good color, very healthy. Good to see there are no deficiencies or signs of stress which is just awesome! Besides the defoliation there really hasn't been any news. Feed: 1,5L every other day. Hope you all have a good one! Mr_Motalovah Hey Growers & Tokers! Sorry for the delay on the weekly updates, had some things I had to attend but I'm back and at it! A week has passed since the 21-day defoliation. These pictures were taken on day 27 of flower. Defoliation is showing its fruits, no signs of stress. Bud sites are growing day by day. Curious to see how these buds develop. I'm hoping the main colas turn out one big bud. Figures crossed. Did a little plucking this week, nothing too noticeable.. Smell is starting to come in, can't quite put my finger on it yet. Still feeding every other day. No signs of deficiencies, that's great. Next week i'll start giving her a PK booster. That's it for this week hope you're enjoying this progress like I am. Wasn't expecting this at all, kind of glad I got the purple pheno. Haven't had any purp in a while. 😋 PK booster is showing its fruits. Nugs aren't that big but they're nice and dense. Mr_Motalovah Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 PURPS ARE HERE TO STAY OH YAY!! Thinking about changing the title of this diary to that right there.. Like i said last week, purps are here to stay, nugs are 100% all purple though leaves are green. The smell has really come in this week. In spain we call this the Cali aroma, that high grade aroma. 😂 Kind of bummed that the buds aren't as big as I imagined but then again I wasn't expecting the purps so yeah, you get what you get I guess... They are getting a bit denser, so that's nice. Things are running smoothly.. In flower I use Enzymes once every 10 days or so to help out with the roots.. That's it.. hope you like the content. Mr_Motalovah Hey! This was the last week of flower, I harvested on day 62 of flower because I noticed some nanners appearing.. This strain was fighting for it's life from start and it did a good come back but in flower she couldn't advance at some point, must have gotten stressed for some reason.. all the other strains turned out great and this one pretty good as well just not as great as I'd expected.. Mr_Motalovah Pretty decent experience, it was push and pull all the way with this one. She'd get stressed, then bounce back, then back down.. End result was worth the little hassle.
