Sadly, this week might be the end of this grow. We had a water pipe break. Flooding in the house. Releasing mold and allergens in the air that are making me have to leave the home. Made worse by floor dryers. Post cancer, my immune system is still weak. I’m bringing in an environmental inspector. I need to find out if the plants are affected. Or, if they would have ill effects on me. 11/28 - I’m going to keep going for at least the experience. I’m not quitting. We will have anything harvested checked. Or, I’ll just dispose of it. I haven’t decided. I can’t find a clear answer on safety issues. Let’s see what happens!

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. The nute burning carries on . This is so embarrassing , the leaves frizzled and burn . I lowered ppm to 500ppm but the burn still carry on. So i think i can’t fix anything now . I will be flushing next week because the spider mites are back again and i really don’t want to foliage spray too much . The pistils and the trichs look like she is going to be done in a week. Still she has very less trichs on her , not really happy about .I think i will be chopping her down by the end of week 10 .

31.08. 5-6 days ago I removed the remaining two plants from the rope, trimmed them and put them in jars. The shots are of flowers from 6-7 plants, I know that two of the plants are missing shots, but almost identical phenotype, I needed memory at one point so I deleted a lot of it. Dry: 1#15g 2#20g 3#23g 4#28g 5#23g 6#28g 7#23 8#20 9#23 Total:203g For such a short growing season, I am satisfied with this and if there should have been half a kilo of dry matter here at worst, but two weeks of growing season did its job… Stay High and Keep Growing!!!

D99/FD73 - Think the cookies has to be well past done now...Very deep purple on the buds but want as much of the lower stuff to mature as I lost so much of this plant to rot! 😭Thankfully, won some more seeds and I HAVE requested this again and I WILL go with it again as it smells and looks so amazing. I just know I have to be a crapton more careful with the environmentals now. Plus, now have all the preventatives in place (Bigger air flow, Sulfur, Potassium Bicarbonate, TricorrP5, etc.). May invest in a couple of supplemntal Royal Blue bars for veg and 1st 10 days of flower to keep them low but thats for next time, not for now. Have moved to Dragon Force in the tank as I want this all chopped by next week to start next run (Dont know if going to go Cream Caramel or Cookies Kush for the shortness - or maybe some Ice Cool as never run a diesel strain before!!!). Apart from that, Happy growing all!!! 💪

Another week and flower and all is good! happy vibes in the tent, plants transitioned well even with some technical errors like power cuts etc. Looking forward to the late stage of flower, structure is beautiful !!

Day 21 Flowering: Well what a week it has been this week growmies Dealing with flash heat waves , building soils , setting up new lights and generally trying to squeeze every last inch of my grow space for plants without creating a stagnant lower growth below the canopy . airflow is vital with such a cramped , hot and dense budded canopy starting. I have been feeding the Banana mash with a slightly lighter feed than the Purple monkey and they look a lot less toxic. Still way behind the Purple Monkey for bud production and density , theyvare stretching wildly still. The main 3 are very similar in size etc but #4 is really getting like a bowl of noodles now and will need some serious thinning out and brutal decisions in who goes to harvest time. Being in the middle of the canopy she is really trying to spread out wider too. The Banana mash are really good,vigorous growers with lots of side branching to create some really big plants full of budsites , the key will be if you can utilise all of that growth or if ,like me, you need to select the best branches and tips to focus on. The Purple Monkey are all doingreally good and for 21 days , the buds are very well developed. It could indicate an early flowering finish around 7 weeks possibly but I am hoping it is more about their intended finish being huge buds. The #1and #2 are really packing the weight on amd stacking the nodes already. this gives their buds a really solid appearance already and I will be very cautious of allowing moisture to build up with this density . The #3 is a different pheno to the other 2 and her buds are further apart and more spikey looking. She is also trying to hit the clouds still so need to be firmly held down if you want to keep them low. I have been supercropping the tallest of the limbs and trying to keep them upright enough to stay in the light available. She will need support once her buds pack the weight on. They are all starting to smell so sweet too and even now have a nice sticky appeal when touched. I could not recommend this strain enough and love growing it already. The purple is starting to appear in #2 already and should continue as it is not related to temp drops at all that can happen . Shebwill live up to her namesake i think. The other 2 are pure white and solent green looking buds which are a great examples of what they can do. I can only see a great yield from how they are going now and wishbinjad a room full of them .lol. The other 2 crosses are both starting to hit their stretch max now with the Exotic? really looking thick and bushy and showing her sex now. She needs to stretch now to get her mains up into the canopy without the tub underneath. The Mango X Mimosa is in full flowering mode for sure with no signs of any male gonads or hermie behaviour...It is making a huge plant so far and with the massive growth of the father being the main driver I think and she/he put out over 5oz. Fingers crossed for that size with beautiful exotic mango cream buds ..... So there we have it for this update growmies. Hope the video isn't too long this time guys but a lot happening in the room. There was only 1 watering. What an odd week. I managed to get a couple of up-close recordings of 2 strains. The Jelly Bananen has started to yellow. It seems to be all over, and I haven't exactly started flushing yet. Or maybe she has begun flushing. She is supposed to finish up right around 63 days and the last nutrient feeding was only 590ppm, so it is most definitely a possibility. The next time I water will be with recycled water with extremely low ppm (under 100), and I'm expecting to do a 14-day flush. I'm slightly concerned that the Jelly Bananen may have to be harvested early if the yellowing spreads to the sugar leaves. Guess I'll be finding out in the next week or so. Posting from my work trip abroad. I took these just before I left and have a growmie refilling the humidifier. Based on the camera in the tent the temps are slightly high as the heatwave continues back home. But I guess that’s the best I could ask for. More details coming during the week 8 check in.

Flowering described earlier than I expected, more than 1 week after the vegetation phase would be bigger and more beautiful, has an effect with pleasant sensations and euphoric as the sativa dominant is accustomed to the aroma of lemon and citrus.

Unfortunately, the plants have numerous leaves which look unhealthy (discolored, droopy, crispy/decayed). I removed the 3-4 worst looking leaves from each plant every other day, although I know that can be harmful to autos. Started adding in "Sensi Cal" this week to hopefully rebound from potential mineral deficiencies. Still using Recharge microbes once a week. Nutrients are now being administered accurately and at 1/4 the recommended level. Despite the unhealthy state of the plants, the pre-flowering bud sites look pretty good to me. I'm happy to see healthy looking pistils. Needless to say, I'm very eager to get these girls back on track and looking vibrant and verdant ASAP.
