What a fun run this was ! These Ogreberrys finished up from 81 days to 102 days with nice hints of gassy , sour purple , sweetness and glistening with frost! These ladies will cure up for a month an will be ready to test out ! So much fun , I highly recommend this strain if your looking for some oooy gooohy resiny grape smelling nugs !

Some light defoliation but massive growth from these girls this week. I did some lollipoping to make the girls focus on their main nodes and i introduced a new secret weapon this week. Guppies! Their aquatic fish matter mixed with the waste produces a ton of microorganisms that feed off of each other that produce a mini ecosystem within the fish ecosystem creating a ph of 6.5 but it makes a huge amount of nitrogen that’s needed in the vegetive stage. It’s going to help space out the fox farm nutrients so I don’t have to use so mush. Basically it’s free nutrients! How wonderful. Womp_Womp So the girls are spreading out and it forced me to reorganize the tent and finally kick out the other plants. Now it’s just the 3. I planned to do some light defoliation but my scissors had other plans, after seeing the girls and their maturity I had to remove some nodes that were taking up space in the lower canopy that were basically just wasting some of the girls potential. I’m thinking I’ll give them a day b4 switching to 12/12.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Beginning of week 13 was harvest time! Checking the trichomes on their main buds led to the decision to harvest them. Almost all of them had already milky looking heads and some of them even turned amber. Their incredibly sour smell was barely tolerable as well. Made the decision to harvest them all at once, so the grow room can be turned into a drying room for them. Since this is considered an experiment after all, we wanted to try out wet trimming as well to compare it to the dry trim we're used to. So considering #3 had the least amount of effort due to the low amount of head buds overall, we choose that one to be wet trimmed. It surely was a very sticky and still time-consuming activity, but we're pretty happy with the result. Can't wait to see and taste them when they're finally ready, dried properly and cured a bit! This is plant #2. She still remained my absolute favorite one of them, having the biggest and most beautiful looking main buds. Would've expected a bigger stretch at the start of flowering though, so her branches were still growing pretty close to each other, which isn't that bad but also wasn't really the desired look overall. Plant #2 is one of the dry trim ones. Just made sure to remove the biggest leaves that could prevent a good airflow between the buds when they're hung up.

- Going to start with 16x seeds with no back ups, hopefully 16/16 will germinate :) Using Mars H. Ts1000 instead of 1250W custom one. - Seeds straight outta fridge, waited 15-20 min for frost effect to shake, planted right into rockwools and added mid to warm tap water with 6.3 PH & put a fridge bag and rounded it around instead of the cap of the germination tray just to try something new. - I started watering manually and might use drip/hydroponics depending on the torture level and will update the system & add/type here every detail. - I will use Advanced Nutrients first whole series from beginner/hobyist to grand master, will be my 5th grow with this series. After germination, depending on the roots and their overall health, I might use ROOT !T first feed. Since they're autos, it'll be tricky. - Going to be my 5th grow ever and this particular grow includes 10th to 26th numbered (all until now) plants I ever grew.

PICTURE VIDEO UPDATE - 10/28/2020 Day 49 - 10/26/2020 Bud site established. Nice big base in relation to my tent. Both nice and strong with new LST + Accidental HST in the last week and a half. Made the best Screen for a ScrOG i've made so far but the accidental breaks during LST/HST didn't heal up in time for me to risk a snap getting them in the net. Good news is the screen is ready and waiting for the next grow (Might go back to photoperiod) Very excited to watch the buds grow so i gave them their final major tie down and defoliation to get the light/air flow set so the final weeks can be hands off. Gave a feeding of Molasses/Water on the 24th and will give another full nute mix feed today or tomorrow (27th/28th) Going to take pictures of the Chocolate Mint OG Autos and give them a final snip/clip down today and get that diary updated by the end of the week as well 🙌 Thanks for checking out this week! Stopped the organics as this could be causing the leaf claw. Won't defoliate for the foreseeable future as i think this is enough. Feed is 2.15k ppm. Had to use TaNLiN as had a fungus gnat problem. One drop into the water and a stir done the job after about a week or 2. Seem to be watering this every day. Always empty the runoff after 20 mins of watering. 18-24 hours later the soil will be practically dry.

Had a little bud rot @ 7 weeks flowering which i spotted early and chopped out, hopefully that will be last see of that as think theres still 2 weeks left to go. lowered nutes slightly and next week the plant will begin a weeks flush :)

Ginger nut cookies 30th Jan 2020 I got a bit carried away a couple of days ago and whilst trying to be a smartie pants and Lst the two heads of the plant, I accidentally broke one off . In my defence I did immediately chuck the broken stem into some rooting powder and then a rockwool cube. If it takes I'll have two plants but still I was annoyed with myself. Now that I had only the one top , I topped it so that she can fill out and create more tops. This week I fed some High tea, and watered in a little epsom salts for a magnesium Hit. 7/29 - Week 9 of veg is starting. At this point, it is just let them grow up a few inches, and also fill out the pots some more with roots before transplanting to 5 gallon fabric pots (their final homes). I also plan on mixing a 'flower blend' soil to fill up the 5g pot around the rootball that is transplanted. This recipe for the soil is taken from MaximumYield: Enhanced fruit/flower potting soil recipe This soil recipe is designed for plants that are ready to fruit or flower. In particular, this recipe works great for ornamentals that are already in bloom and for fast-growing annuals that are entering their fruiting or flowering stage. Parenthesis indicate small changes or products I'm using. 1/2 cu. ft. (60 cups) sphagnum peat moss (Promix BX) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) coco coir (Mother Earth Coco Peat) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) compost (either compost or manure) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) perlite 10 cups pumice (likely to just use perlite here) 5 cups worm castings 3 cups bat guano (high phosphorus) 1 cup fish bone meal (using regular bone meal, got Jobe's Bone Meal) 1 cup oyster shell 1/2 cup seabird guano (likely to just add as the high phosporous guano) 1/4 cup alfalfa meal 1/4 cup fish meal (Down to Earth Fish Meal) 2 tbsp. langbeinite (Down to Earth Langeinite) 1 tbsp. glacier rock dust (Azomite ordered from Amazon) 7/30 - While technically the morning of 7/31, lights haven't gone out yet, so it is still the 30th ;) It almost hurts posting pictures today, because they were really thirsty, but I honestly hadn't looked at them for a couple days. Anywho, the plants were watered with ~1.25 liters of water each, about 90 minutes before lights out. Will be interesting to post the 7/31 photos after a couple hours of lights on, and see the difference in appearance. I also mixed the soil for flowering, and it will now have a couple weeks to 'cook' and become ready for the plants. I did make a mistake and accidentally added 1 cup of fish meal instead of 1/4 cup (oops), and the alfalfa meal just smelled too good, so I added 1/2 cup instead of 1/4. Hopefully those 2 'changes' don't add too much nitrogen for flower, but I imagine it won't. I also instead of adding perlite (didn't want to buy a 4 cu ft bag when I needed at most 2.5 gallons (1/3 cu ft), so I opted to add 1 gallon of pumice. Since the coco peat and promix both have perlite in them, I didn't want too much added. There were also some worms from the compost that made it into the tote that is now storing the mix, so life has already started in the soil. 7/31 - It wasn't just after lights on, as I didn't have time to photo earlier, but this is just about 24 hours after watering, and praying/looking good. I had noticed that it looked like the fan had slipped down the pole a bit, and was causing some wind burn/clawing of the leaves yesterday, which probably attributed to poor looks, but looking better today! While I am not that versed in checking preflowers, from what I can tell, if I had to guess, CH#1 could be either (maybe slightly leaning towards female, thought I might have saw a couple hairs), and the #2 actually looked male to me. 8/4 - After getting home from work, and realizing I hadn't checked on the plants in a couple days and I knew they were due for water either yesterday or today, I saw some THIRSTY plants. They each got ~1.2L of water, and also a quick trim back. After checking preflowers again, I am afraid that both Chinook plants may end up male :(

Day 54 from seed and the canopy games began, i gave them all some defoliation and instal first net, also started to do some low stress training to guide them out. Day 54 and i had to bring to this side of the tent my little Kushi with is from my other diares but she had no space there, so i moved her next to the competition side 😁😝 I’m also making a water system, i will keep doing the watering manually, but with the help from a “auto/manual” system. Day 54 CS have 2 very distinct phenotipes, a normal one with an amazing black pepper smell with a garlic touch and an old school candy smell mixed within, the other one, with i think is a rare one for the chocolate skunk, is smeling amazingly amazing 😅 she as fruit in it like tangerine and orange, and shes sweet and so but so strong smells, im in love with her, and she stretches more them the other 2 also, she provably will b the keeper from the CS department. Day 54 and I topped CS1 lets see how she reacts 😆🤞💚 Day 54 and TP1 and TP2 are amazing, this girls are so strong and resistant, they are fast growers and they look like winners to me, both of them , caps off to @sweetseeds for such a good job on the genetics department, keep it up guys 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Day 55 and my water system is ready for testing 😅 i know i should test before its all in, but its a non stop live i have so no time , always beliving 😅🤞💚 tomorrow we will know if it works or not 😆😁 Week 8 day 3 and I finally got the water system working and running properly, I’m still plugging in snd out , but this will make my life so much easier, withs results in more free time to dedicate my girls. Tested my run out today and came out with ec over 2.0 meaning next watering mb the 2 nexts ones will be just ph water with regulator and some enzymes.
