Weekly update: August 6th Looking great, major spurt of growth on both girls, #1 (sativa leaning girl) had major final stretch to end off stretch in 3 days (hopefully). And #2 (stockier indica leaning pheno) has had a big increase in flower size in 3 days which is promising, and is also producing a very sweet and tropical fruity gas smell, this is TCP after all! Oh yea and I’m running about 1700 center 500 outer ppfd and tapering down if I see anything but nothing so far all good nice genetics, may drop in the next week even if no signs or symptoms, to prevent and not be too greedy. Now for the not so good… been getting 10% runoff almost every feed, but my runoff of #1 was 3500ppm and pH 4.5 and #2 at 5000ppm and pH 4.5. Been giving around 850 ppm input at pH 6.0, never went over 1000ppm input. So I have to correct with 25% increase in feed volume, 300-400ppm input at pH 7.0 for what I infer to be 2-3 feeds until runoff ppm is significantly lower, and pH is at least 5.5. UPDATE Aug 8: To address the toxic/locked-out root-zone I did a regular feed with runoff (1.5 gal total volume per pot @ 820ppm bloom focus), runoff consisted of pH 4.2-4.5 and 4000-6000ppm... OUCH. I then fertigated with 0.5 gal plain pH 6.5-7 dechlorinated tap water each. I repeated this a total of 3 times, to which the last flush had 3 ml/gal cal-mag. final runoff ppm @ 1000-2000, pH 5.3-5.5. To conclude, I more than likely wasn't achieving enough runoff per scheduled feed, and did not cycle a few plain pH adjusted waterings. I had almost the same thing happen last run with autos, except they were showing signs of lockout, these photo girls are not. I must do a regular watering every 3 feeds, achieve 20% runoff with high ppm feeds, and 15% runoff at least with mild to moderate ppm's. Lesson learned, I hope I get a full run in the future without hiccups like this. She's fully acclimated to her outdoor location now and all I'm waiting for is the weather to warm up! 4/20- 🍃HAPPY 420 FAM!🍃 4/22- The GG4 Sherbet FF continues to do well with good color and vigor, considering the cooler weather we're having right now, adding another set of leaves. 4/24- I gave her a good watering today and am getting ready to get some straw to spread over her soil mound to help keep the soil moist and reduce watering frequency. There's another week for the little GG4 Sherbet FF. I'm really anticipating seeing her take off once our weather gets a bit warmer! Hope to see you next week... 😎

New week, plants start to produce loads of sugar and a strong smell is coming trough

Day 50 - Starting off week 5 and she’s smelling amazing. Not very strong throughout the house but as soon as the tent is opened, you can smell the tropical citrus. Gave her the first feeding of the week today and just counting down till chop, still a couple weeks away but she’s filling in and fattening up nicely. Day 51 - Nothing new to report today. She’s doing her thing and I’m just enjoying watching the growth and fattening each day. Day 52 - Think she’s just about done stretching, hopefully she’s starting to move on to the fattening up more part. Gave her some fresh pH’d water today and seems happy. Day 53 - All is good, just updating pics for the day. Day 54 - All still looking good and gave her the second and final feeding of the week. Waiting for her to really start bulking up in the next couple weeks before chopping but looks like she’s still got plenty of time left.

Hey now, so this week went very well, I topped one of them for the last time on day 22,, and I wanted to top again but I started seeing some white pistils so I decided not to. I am now feeding 3 times per day with a total EC of 1.4 I am giving .4 to Cal Mag and 1.0 to Maxi Gro. I am also utilizing LST to try and keep an even canopy. I felt like my last grow produced far too many fluffy buds, so I am trying to focus on fewer bud sites, and denser colas. I am also testing the runoff and I am getting readings of 1.5 to 1.6 so I am good with that. Thanks for checking out my diary, be safe and blaze on!

Time for the stretch! Lots of flowering growth happening now. I can see where the bud spots will be so I’m going to have to stop moving the branching around in the Scrog, also the branches are getting thick and less pliable.

4-26 Continuing to grow well. Have started watering with run-off because my PPM was really high last week. Watering twice a day and buds are looking nice. 4-27 Defoliated more bottom mini branches and got a few upper leaves blocking bud growth.

10 weeks from seed to harvest. The nutrient line I was using didn’t give me optimal growth, for this strain and my level of experience. Had some great growth and veg time, about 4 weeks, but when flower kicked in they got beastly. I would say I had two different phenos of this strain, and the one pheno that is unique, had slightly looser buds than the other two. This could be because of the LST/super cropping of the main cola. The other two had nice rock hard frosty buds and have similar smells and profile. The other one has more citrus, and was a bit lanky, more sativa in looks. Overall, easy enough to grow, no major surprises, and decent enough yield for 10 weeks. This is a strain that could have been better had I not had some issues with either lockout/deficiencies.
