After some trial and tribulations Golden has decided to revive this diary. The ladies have been in vegetation for 90 days and it’s time to flower them. Golden is skeptical that the tent is too small but with the aggressive pruning and defoliation hopefully we will be okay. Unfortunately the Grape Diamonds did not make it and have been replaced with Apple Fritter from RQS. Bless the homie that gave her to me

Well this girl has the making of being a great provider she is strong and resilient being left in a little container for to long .. she was transplanted today on day 23 of her life and she is loving it all ready there will be some good growth now . The light cycle is down to 20 hours and the nutrients are 1/2 strength but not frequent enough . Looking forward to next week's growth and some LST training cheers canna family

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I have never tested PH in my grows, when growing organic in soil iv learned that it adapt PH by it self. But im curious by nature so i had to test. IPM focused!

I know that it may seem like a lot of nutrients at first. It’s not. A lot of those mycorrhizae ingredients are mixed into my soil well before the germinated seed goes into the pot. I make my own mix of soil using some of those ingredients. I like to use the great white mykos because of its powders consistency. Makes it easy for a clean transport from germinated bean to its forever home. For watering, they have been given only plain RO water with a neutral ph. Just yesterday I gave them a little tiny mix of Medusa’s magic, Zeus juice, and Gaia mania. I have used Oregon’s only brand products for a while now and I absolutely love them and better yet, I understand them. They have responded super well already to their first drink of bottled nutes with a ph of 6.3 . I’m keeping a RH between 50 and 60%. I’m also keeping a temp during the day at around 78-81°f. Right now I’m not worried about a night time temp but I do run cooler lights for about 4 hrs every day, dropping to around 70-75°f. Eventually I will add my second light boosting me from 600w too 1200w. Also they will begin a 20-4 hr light cycle. I find these autos do amazing with a little rest for 4 hrs. Allows me to pull more resin and color in later stages of life by dropping the temp lower than usual with the lights off. Well most of the autos have came into flower a couple are still slacking behind and the others are a week younger so i expect them to come into flower in the next week or so..

Grow diary 11 Stage 3 Days 21-30 Day 22 removed lowest nodes. I'm also thinking i may be overwatering. Day 24 eventually found my humidifier. Day 26 topped both colas. Day 30 training. The last 9 days have been fairly bad, around day 22 I thought the grow looked a little overwatered. This time I am using a home made ring to flood the pots, i didn't take into account that this ring lets out about 10 times the amount of water then the blue drippers. I cut the watering down and the she started to recover. She is the worst looking one out the 4 strains. Even the one for outside looks bad. The outside Bruce banner went to its gorilla spot the other day and I forgot to take pictures. The outside northern lights will be going to gorilla spot soon. Afghan Hash Plant, week 6 of flower. Another frosty strain, but not quite as frosty as the Mango Merengue but still beautiful. The Afghan Hash has a sweet citrus smell with an earthy smell. Not much to do other then water since they got their last bit of slow release nutrients acouple days ago which lasts 3 weeks.

Last week of flowering for our Ztrawberriez from fastbuds 420 This week only water was given to the girls, as at the end of week we are harvesting the plants! Very nice smells comes out of the tent, cant wait to try all of the fastbuds strains i have in the tent 🤗🤗🤗

Nothing but colas on all 3 this is going to be a big harvest. Another 2 or 3 weeks max.

Blue Mammoth is 3 months old today and was harvested today. 440 grams wet (untrimmed and still on the branches). Going to try drying with the leaves on, then doing a dry trim this time. She smells sweet and fruity. I'll post the harvest info after she has dried and cured.

Day 77 she is looking great and smelling great.She is not a big plant but I am sure she will be some very good smoke.Im going to let her grow for another week or so.

I feel like I didn’t put enough fertiliser in the soil of the Morello Cherries Auto. It’s starting to show early signs of autumn colours and nutrient deficiencies. However, it has a very distinctive sweet odour.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations.
