🌱 Folder 10B | Guava Auto Week 2 – The Elegant Sister Begins to Stretch Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure, where every phenotype receives its own individual diary, allowing us to appreciate the subtle differences that make each plant unique. Meet Frosted Guava Auto 10B. Although she shares exactly the same genetics, growing medium, feeding schedule and environmental conditions as her sister, she has already chosen her own path. Where Plant A remained exceptionally compact, Plant B immediately showed a little more ambition toward vertical growth. Not excessive. Not uncontrolled. Simply a slightly more open architecture that gives her a graceful appearance while still maintaining excellent structural balance. This is exactly why pheno hunting is so rewarding. Even sisters have their own personalities. ⸻ 🌿 Growing Conditions Every plant in this project grows under identical controlled conditions, allowing the genetics—not environmental differences—to shape each phenotype. Pot Size: 15 Litres The consistency inside the grow room continues to provide an ideal environment for comparing every individual phenotype fairly throughout the entire project. ⸻ 🌿 Feeding Program Throughout the week Guava Auto 10B continued receiving the complete Plagron Terra feeding schedule. Weekly Feeding * Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L * Power Roots — 1 ml/L * Pure Zym — 1 ml/L * Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L * pH Plus — when required * Lemon Kick — when required The goal remains to encourage strong root development while supporting healthy vegetative growth before flowering begins to accelerate. Healthy roots today become heavy flowers tomorrow. ⸻ 🌱 Plant Development Watching these two sisters side by side has been one of the highlights of this week. From the first few days after transplant it became obvious that Plant B was expressing a different growth pattern. Her internodal spacing is just a little wider. The central stem continues extending steadily while producing beautifully symmetrical branches from every node. She still remains compact compared with many autoflowers, but there is a noticeable elegance to her overall structure. Rather than forming one dense cluster of leaves, she naturally creates a slightly more open canopy that allows light to penetrate deeper into the plant. The result is a structure that feels balanced, relaxed and incredibly healthy. Every photograph taken this week reflects that quiet confidence. ⸻ 🌿 Training Progress As with her sister, this week focused on gentle canopy management rather than aggressive manipulation. Leaf tucking became part of the daily routine, exposing developing secondary branches and improving airflow throughout the centre of the plant. A small amount of low-stress training encouraged the side branches to begin catching up with the main stem while preserving the plant’s naturally elegant architecture. One thing quickly became apparent. This phenotype almost seems to cooperate with the training. She opens naturally. She responds quickly. She seems eager to build multiple flowering sites without needing much encouragement. Sometimes a plant simply tells you how she wants to grow. The best growers know when to listen. ⸻ 📸 Behind This Week’s Photos The photographs beautifully capture the difference between the two Guava sisters. Early in the week, the camera highlights a strong central leader with perfectly healthy new growth and vibrant colour. As the days pass, the overhead images reveal a wonderfully symmetrical arrangement of fan leaves, creating an almost star-shaped canopy. The close-up macro shots show vigorous new shoots emerging confidently from each node, while the side profile demonstrates her slightly taller, more graceful posture compared with Plant A. She isn’t trying to become oversized. She’s simply expressing a little more vertical elegance while maintaining excellent balance. The camera tells that story perfectly. ⸻ 🌱 Looking Ahead Next week should become particularly interesting. With every new node, Plant B is creating more opportunities for lateral branching while continuing her gentle upward growth. As low-stress training progresses, I expect those side branches to begin forming a beautifully even canopy capable of supporting numerous flowering sites. Her slightly longer internodes may ultimately provide excellent light penetration during flower, reducing congestion while still maintaining impressive bud density. She may not look identical to her sister. But that’s exactly what makes her special. Two sisters. Two personalities. Buds starting to form!!!! Day 2 of week 8 4/3/25 UPDATE: Flushed with Fox farm sledgehammer ph’d at 6.8 Soils were low at 5.8 4/5/25 update: fed with nutes 4/7/25: watered with plain water ph’d at 6.5 4/8/25: did a slight heavy defoliation to get ready for week 9!

1/23/23 Well everything’s in flower now so I’m changing the journal to flower in the perpetual garden. Added humidifier. I top dressed everything w buildasoil top dress and build a bloom. Watering everything w the Q watering agent as well. It’s all taking off beautifully. I tossed a buncha lady bugs in there to help w the thrips. Also got spinosad but not sure if I can use it now with the lady bugs. We’ll see how it goes this week. Mandarin cookie Doing well, bushing out and up more. Stopped lst bc it’s getting very bushy and I need to defoliate. But waiting until there’s more stretch bc it’s a small little bush and I don’t want to take away too many fan leaves bc they have thrips. Would rather allow for more light to be absorbed. Head knock Looking like the best one after it was the safest! So much flower so many trichs. Fan leaves are all sorts of colors. It’s really poppin off. I defóliate da but so the lower flowers could pop through and they’re really colorful. I’d grow this guy again for sure. Might actually see it there are anymore clones avail. Headknock 2 We got big in veg. Defoliated a bit and got it to a great place before moving to flower tent. But ultimately I’m ready to flip it even if it’s kinda smaller than I’d want. Probably need a stronger light in veg tent to keep them up to par when moving to flower. Pre bloomed and moved to flower. Haven’t seen any trichs but it’s only been in flower since Sunday. Secret scone Finally looking like it’s supposed to with happy buds and flowers coming along. Thrips really. Did some damage to this guy and he went thru it with all the mishaps since September. Finally looking good. Sabowaka Tepremental little bitch. Starting to show trichs. Gave it too much water and it was sitting next to humidifier tube so old growth was not looking too hot. Cutting back in water bc he wonders drink fast enough. As Barnyard apples Got massive in veg just like headknock. Really happy with it and can’t wait to see how it flowers over the next month.

Week 14, Week 14 was the last week before Harvest/Havrest! I flushed the plant and trimmed her a bit before harvest. I hope you all enjoy the videos and the pics!

AUGUST 16 to AUGUST 22, 2025 Insofar as fertigation, this week each specimen was provided a Top Dress of Dry Organic Amendments as described in the Nutrients section of this diary post. The top dress was watered in with a Liquid Amended Soil Drench with the following ingredients and measures (mL/L): Bloom Liquid Plant Food (1-3-3) - 5.0mL/L of plain rainwater Yucca Schidigera Liquid Extract - 0.25mL/L Monosilic Acid - 0.5mL/L Activated Beneficial Microbes - 5.0mL/L - All products from Optimize Organics (https://www.optimizeorganics.ca/) Both Lemon Orange specimens are growing with vigour, and well into the transition to bloom. Pairs of pistils are evident in several locations on each plant. Sunlight hours have dropped to under 14 hours (Sunrise 07:00, sunset 20:58). I am considering this Week 1 of flower. Considerable height gain over the week, with a noticeable increase in inter-nodal spacing, particularly on Lemon Orange #2. Lemon Orange #1 is the shorter of the two phenotypes, slower growing, and not taking in near as much water/nutrient (did not need to be watered this week). Lemon Orange #1 has an average height across its 8 main growing shoots of 51cm, while Lemon Orange #2 is is near 68cm. Neither specimen is overly smelly on their own, but when rubbed up against or manipulated the scent of citrus with an earthy after-tone is present. Fungus gnats have found a home in the garden, and for now I've deployed yellow sticky traps to control the adults. More aggressive treatments of other parts of the lifecycle will likely be needed, and I am considering acquiring nematodes to add to my living soil. DAY 99 - Top Dressed with dry organic amendments (Bloom mix); Watered in with Bloom Soil Drench Formula; Went fishing for a couple of days. DAY 100 - n/a DAY 101 - n/a DAY 102 - 1L drip of plain rainwater at 08:30 via automated irrigation system; Returned from fishing trip in early afternoon (14:00), plants looked good, if not a bit uneven as a result of not being turned 1/4 clockwise over the past 3 days. DAY 103 - Witnessed droop under full sun in early afternoon, across all specimens on the back bench (Blue Dynamite #2. Lemon Orange #2, Blue Dynamite #1). Drip watered 1.5L of plain rainwater to that bench of plants only, as the front bench with the small plants (Lemon Orange #1 and Purple Romulan) seemed as though the substrate was sufficiently moist. DAY 104 - Prepared Compost Tea for application on Day 106, set to aerate for 36 hours. DAY 105 - n/a

Day-1 put 41 blue dream seeds which i beleive are non gendered autos into pellets to grow as backups, I am primarily trying to grow a white widow autoflower from crop seed kings and 3 of a peyote strain unspecified gender and flowering style. Day-2 humidity and temperature are sitting at 98up to +100 and 23-31 degress celsius will be leaving top more open after about 6 today to lower humidity just wanted it cranked up for a day or so Day-3 things are looking good many seeds are starting to show taproots between a quarter inch and five eights of an inch popping through the bottom of the seeds. Day-4

Semana del 12 al 18 de abril Cada día más bonitas. Estoy feliz porque como hay menos humedad ambiental, hay menos humedad en el indoor. Incluso llegando a 43% de humedad, así que me confirmo. La temperatura suele andar por 24-26 grados Celsius así que bien. Tenía unas 10 hojas dañadas por la mosca negra, así que el 12 de abril apliqué el insecticida tec fort (foto del producto en la semana anterior). Lo apliqué a las 17:00 hrs y a las 22:30 del mismo día no vi ningún bicho. Dentro de 5-6 días volveré a aplicarlo igualmente (1ml por cada litro). Al menos dos de las cuatro plantas están tomando otro color, así que me conformo.

Sep 6: the top buds are mostly ready. Final Flush was applied two days ago and are supposed to wait 7-10 days. Will wait a bit longer but harvest will be starting soon. Sep 7: harvested 740 g wet buds into freezer. When dried this will be about 180 g. Lower buds will be another week or two. Sep 12: most likely will be harvested tomorrow. These are really nice hard buds. Don’t take flash pics of your plants unless you follow up with a far red light. Otherwise…hermies are more likely.
