GER (25-1 to 30-1)
This time i went for the Chemdog from The Green House Seed Company.
It will be the first time i try out the autopots aswell, so lets see how it goes.

Here is some info about the strain:
Green House Seed Company - Chemdog Feminised
Genetics: OG Kush x Sour Diesel
24.5% THC, 70% Indica, 30% Sativa.
9 weeks flowering time.
Taste: The flavors of this strain are very complex, starting with an acidic, lemony tone and a diesel/fuel taste that will leave your mouth satisfied. The most expressed terpenes are α -Pinene, α -Humulene and β-Caryophyllene.
Structure: The structure of this plant is very reminiscent of OG Kush, with long internodes and lots of branching
Effect: Narcotic with strong perception alteration, long-lasting; in fact, some users claim to have used this strain to manage chronic pain.

At the end of the day i placed 2 Chemdog seeds in a wet coffee filter (PH: 5.8) inside a zip-lock bag.
I hang the bag in a dark and warm place so the seeds can germinate.

42 hours later and the roots are nice and long enough so i put them inside a 0.5L pot with Plagron Lightmix.

24 hours later and they are already rising above the ground.
After 7 hours i removed the plastic foil because they are growing quite fast haha.

Today i will transplant the plants, i will mix 70% Coco coir with 30% Perlite.
The plants go into 18L AutoPots. I use the Airdome combined with an airstone.
I covered half of the airdome with coco, and the remaining half with clay pebbles.
The rest of the 18L pot filled with the coco mix, and the plants.
I gave both plants a 1.5L topfeed, and into the tent they go!
The light is at 70% strength, with a distance of 60 cm.

At the beginning of the day i made a 15L feed and gave both plants a 1.5L topfeed, and i removed some leaves underneath the canopy.
Later that day I installed the AutoPot reservoir and attached all hoses to the pots and reservoir.
The airpump is connected aswell, and on a 18/6 timer.
I added the remaining 9L to the reservoir and turned on the system.
At the end of the day i added another 15L to the reservoir.
The light is at 80% with an distance of 45/50 cm. LUX: 24.000 / 26.000

In the midday i turned off the reservoir, and at the end of the day the AutoPots were dry.
I installed a SCROG net aswell that i bought a couple of days ago.
The holes of the net are too big, so i will order another one with smaller holes, but for now i will use the bigger one.
I disconnected the 18/6 timer of the airpump, so now it runs 24/7 on full power.
I checked the PH of the reservoir and it went up to 6.3, so thats quite high, i added some PH- to 6.0

As you can see on the pictures, the Chemdog #2 has a flat stem.
I dont know how, but the same happened with the grow before this one, but to a Biscotti from a different seed bank.
I never seen this before, so i am really surprised to see this happening back to back. Does anyone know if its just coincidence or can lightstress or LST/HST cause this?

Today i decided to turn of the reservoir/autopots.
I think the plants are overwatered, and because of that probably have light stress and other problems.
Also, it can be that i underfeeded them, and that the PH was too high.
I turned the light down to 40% strength aswell.

It looks like the plants are doing better since they havent got any water the past couple of days.
Today i decided to heavily defoliate the plants.
I also found a old feeding schedule from Green House with PH values, and it recommends that i should give an PH of 5.7 on coco.
I thought PH 6 was good, but i was wrong, maybe this in combination with the plants being too wet, is the reason for the weird growing leaves, and the problems they show.
I cleaned the reservoir and made sure there is no old water in the lines.
I made a full strength 10L feed, and added it to the reservoir.
I turned the reservoir on for around 3 mins, just to the point that the AutoPot trays are full of water and the valves are shutting them off, then i turn the reservoir off.
I will do this every other day, so 1 time in 2 days.

Today i defoliated both plants heavily for the last time, you can say i did a method called: schwazzing.
Dont know why but while i was defoliating the Chemdog smelled a little bit like soap haha.
Turned on the reservoir for a couple of minutes. (Till the AutoPots are full and the valve closes)
Rised the pots aswell, so the canopy is very even.
I let them recover from the heavy defoliation i did, and next week i will slowly increase the light's strength. (Now still at 50% 50cm)

Removed the net, and tied down some branches to the pot with some gardening wire.
This way i can easily move the pots in and out the tent to weigh them.
I also moved the oscilating fan from underneath the canopy to above the canopy.
This is because the leaves gets hotter as i increase the light's power output.
The Gorilla Kush #2 and the Chemdog #2 are showing some heat stress.
Before i watered them i weigh the pots.

They are looking amazing! The #1 has pretty thick and stone hard buds. The #2 is getting more dense, and is covered in crystals! She smells very citrussy aswell!

Installed a humidifier outside the tent, set to 55% aiming for a 60% humidity inside the dry tent.

After 10 days of drying she is ready to be trimmed.
While posting this a couple of months later i found out that i totally forgot to make pictures and video's of the trimmed buds 😅
End result #1:
37 Grams of dried buds.
35.84 Grams of dried trim and very small buds, into the freezer.
I would describe pheno 1 as normal frosty, almost stone like buds, smells chemical with hints of dish soap (i really like it!)
I cant describe the taste but it was very tasty out of the box, before the cure, very sad i only had 37 grams of it haha.
End result #2:
Around 70 grams of dried buds.
43.23 Grams of dried trim and small buds, into the freezer for bubble hash.
I would describe pheno 2 as very frosty buds, little bit fluffy, smells very gassy, with a nice sour taste after curing a couple of months.
Very interesting strain, i will definitely grow it again!
I have some trim and small buds saved up from different strains and i will be posting a diary of the full process making hash of them!
