I am a day early but I am in the flower room and figured I would go ahead and update. The girls are still pushing along. Sweet smell, very sweet with a bit of berry at this stage. Branches have been leaning for awhile now, but I came into a room with a couple bent over but luckily not broken. Who am I kidding... I would have done a quick dry and enjoyed an early taste. Week 7 is done at lights out and I will be 1 week from the early side of Barney's flowering window. I will be checking trichomes regularly from here on out looking for the signal that these girls are done. I am uploading a quick video. I hope it turns out as good as it looks on my phone.. You know that you want to click that like button.. 😇 Edit: Been dropping night time temps and the dark colors are coming out. More so in the lowers but the tops are coming along.

17/08 - I had a 5 days travel, which worried me a little, mainly because my irrigation system did not arrive in time. But when I came back the plant seemed very healthy. The medium was dehydrated but as you can see even after some defoliation the plant continues to be very bushy. 19/08 - Very wide canopy! I have a 60x60cm tent and half of it it's taken by the Gelat. Og. Had to rearrange the tent. The Gelat. OG is little bit ahead of the other plant. 21/08 - Did defoliation to open more the canopy.

left the girls to settle into their new environment. Have been watering every 4 days or so, not much rain this week. Plants are looking good and showing some signs of leaf growth which means the roots have already branched out. Chitosal as a root drench is supposed to help with drought tolerance and salt stress, no salt stress here as we are organic. Next week things to do: 1) spread and re-stake plants. 2) create a top amendment feeding and watering bowl under each plant with some chicken wire.

31.10. - Finally entering the flower stage, really excited about my first auto yield. Adjusted and added a few new ties on the biggest one. Removed ties from middle one to let her stretch out a bit. Watered. 2.10. - Added one more ml/l of Bio Bloom to the mix. I can already see some sugar one the leaves and many new bud sites. Watered. 6.10. - Just wow. All three plants are showing nice progress. The smallest one, which was stunted by overwatering in seedling stage shot out new branches and I'm not sure if it's good in almost 7th week. Plucked out few leaves on all three to expose the bud sites. 31.10. - 6.11.2023

Been studying for Art Exam but neverless the grow has continued. All our premium strains did not reach maximum size due to late transplanting from Bad Soil to Good soil. Nevertheless we hope to garner a seed or two and begin again with better circumstances surrounding our grow than ever before. The Northern Lights, GirlScout Cookies and PowerPlant grew between 32 and 36 cm each. I estimate a dry yield of between 20 and 30 Grams on each and about a further 30-40 grams on our banana Kosher Kush (this could be more but to be on the safe side. They probably have 2-3 weeks left before harvest. We will take what we have learnt here and start again with better soil and a steadier light schedule. Till next week

Week 5 and it's all good. Day #32 Watered with just 0,5 ml/l of Fish Mix. I used it to spray on the leaves too. One of the 5 clones died because one night I removed the cap: just don't, is way too early. These days are rainy so drying time is slow. I'm going to switch to Bio Grow and setting 12/12 light schedule in the next 5 days. Day #34 Not deep watering yet, just sprayed leaves with Fish Mix then both mothers with a sip of leftover solution for each. The clones that I took just as a try seems to be healty. I don't know what to do with them :) Day #35 Watering deep with pasta water with BioGrow in. Defoliated a bit. Day #36 I see some slight curling and yellow tip on a mother plant so next round I'll water with just a bit of magnesium.

Girls are kicking into pre flower mode

Starting to think if I didn't stunt pheno 3 initially, how much more beautiful this plant would be. It was the runt due to nute burn as a seedling. It has now become my favorite plant of the 3. It has beautiful structure, and the fan leaves are almost triple the size of the other 2. Pheno 1 is showing signs of preflower.. stretchy girl showing her indica traits. Pheno 2 has seemed to back off on the vertical growth, reminds me of pheno 3 but with not quite as good genetics. Beautiful plant though 👌 Pheno 3 would be the plant you clone of the 3 if this were a photo run. I'm curious to see how she turns out.

I was really wishing for the pheno on the seedsman website but I guess I would have to just hunt through many more blueberry seeds to find that one. Overall I enjoyed the grow.

Day 29 since Switch to 12/12

Days 15 to 17, varying by plant: My journey of experimentation, aiming to refine and perfect my cannabis cultivation methods, continues. This venture’s ultimate objective is to position myself as a preeminent cannabis cultivator in my locale. As I navigate through the labyrinth of regulatory licensing, I’m conducting a trial run with my seedlings under continuous lighting conditions and a minimal nutrient regime. My primary goal during this phase is to identify any potential hiccups that could hinder the growth process and ultimately impact the productivity of my intended commercial operation. As I delve deeper into this exploratory phase, I draw invaluable insights from the thriving cannabis community, whose collective wisdom informs my decision-making process. Given my geographical location and available resources, I’ve opted for a strategic shift in my cultivation strategy. Previously, I’ve been procuring seeds at an average cost of $10 to $22 per seed, with a relatively broad success rate variance, ranging from 70% to 85%. However, an alternative presents itself in the form of local cultivators. These businesses offer cannabis plants aged between 2 to 4 weeks, boasting an impressive variety of over 100 strains. These juvenile plants are offered at a cost-effective rate: an average of $100 for eight plants. With a success rate hovering between 70% and 95%, these plants offer excellent value. Essentially, I can access pre-grown plants at a substantial discount, in turn significantly boosting my chances of success. Consequently, I am poised to transition away from growing cannabis from seeds to harvesting. By sourcing my plants from local cultivators, I stand to significantly reduce overhead and production time—an undeniably smart move from a business standpoint. This strategic pivot signifies the end of an era and the exciting beginning of a more efficient and cost-effective chapter in my cannabis cultivation journey. I am currently outlining a plan to expand my cultivation by acquiring several juvenile plants, which should be happening between July 1st and 3rd. The new additions to my garden will include Acapulco Gold, Gelato, White Truffle, and Runtz. These will be cultivated in harmony with the existing growth, which comprises God’s Gift, Northern Lights, and the final surviving F1 Epsilon. My primary objective is to establish the most efficient and cost-effective supply chain possible. I aim to achieve this through the use of an off-grid system that runs solely on solar power, which will ensure complete sustainability and renewability. From a business standpoint, this approach is advantageous as it allows me to leverage the growth of high-quality plants that are already in the cultivation phase. The new plants are expected to arrive in about a week. If the growth rate of the currently cultivated plants doesn’t meet expectations, I’ll be incorporating several of the newly arrived plants into the hydroponics systems. This methodical approach aims to ensure an optimal growth rate and the highest possible yield. I also wish to address the cannabis grower community directly. I hope that my decision to skip the seed-to-plant stage does not cause any offense. My intentions are simply focused on maximizing quality and output, while minimizing our carbon footprint. I believe this approach is in the best interest of sustainability and efficiency, without compromising on the quality that our community values so highly. As we proceed with this venture, we’re currently in the phase of collecting equipment and navigating through the licensing process. Overall, the Bling strain grew very weird initially, however, it did suffer some trauma and grew 3-point leaves for awhile. Resistance to PM was not good, but was able to keep it at bay until harvest time by daily spraying of Athena Mildew Control. I prefer to use this as I was using H2O2 and it burned leaves because of the pH change. My other harvested plant, Mimosa did not do as good from that spraying, but more on her in my other post. Getting back to Bling - I felt the buds thickened up nicely in the end, with hues of purple calyxes coming out as well as with some leaves. Smells wonderful and looking forward to smoking some after the cure. More to follow...
