GERMAN: In dieser Woche lief der Grow auch wieder wunderbar und ich kann mich nicht beschweren, es ist einfach nur wunderbar den kleinen beim wachsen zuzuschauen, ich freue mich immer wieder, sobald ich mein Zelt aufmache und mir die kleinen anschaue. Das Topping hat am 26.04.2024 stattgefunden und heute 28.04 geht die Woche auch schon wieder zuende. Mein Plan für die nächste Woche, ist es die kleinen mit Main-Lining-Technik zu biegen und noch ein 2. mal zu Toppen in den nächsten 2 Wochen. Pink Rosay: 12cm North Thunderfuck: 12cm Kings Juice: 17cm Gegossen wurde diese Woche nur mit Wasser von der Leitung und angepasstem PH Wert, pro Pflanze ca. 700ml. Das ganze wird meine Strategie zum bewässern in den nächsten 2-3 Wochen ENGLISH: In this week the grow seems wonderfully again and I can't complain, it's just wonderful watching the little ones grow, I'm always happy as soon as I open my tent and look at the little ones. I'v done the Topping on April 26th, 2024 and today (April 28th) , the week ends. My plan for the next week is to bend the small ones using LST-Technic and topp them a second time in the next 2 weeks. Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet. And we just improved airflow with defoliation. ⸻ ⚡ EC 2.9 — Aggressive but Intentional That EC is strong. But: • Plant is compact, not oversized • Sour Diesel can eat • pH 6.5 keeps availability wide (Ca, Mg, P balance) The key will be: • Watching leaf tips • Monitoring runoff behavior • Watching for clawing or salt stress Right now, if she’s praying and stacking, she’s handling it. ⸻ 🔍 What To Expect Next Week (Flower Week 4) After defoliation: You may see: • Slight pause (24–72 hours) • Increased vertical bud push • Better lower-site activation • More defined pistil clustering • Stronger apical dominance response If recovery is clean: • Buds begin early stacking phase • Internodes tighten • Resin production initiates at bract level If stress appears: • Slight leaf droop • Tip burn acceleration • Reduced upward leaf angle But based on structure and timing — this looks calculated, not reactive. ⸻ 🧠 Why This Week Matters Long-Term This week determines: • Airflow pattern for late flower • Mold resistance later • Bud density uniformity • Final trim efficiency • Light-to-bud conversion efficiency This wasn’t about now. 3 seeds from barneys farm : zkittlez Og auto. Diary : Day 1: I dug a pit and cleaned my dirt with metal grid and a wheelbarrow & Installed the greenhouse. Day 2 : I rotated my dirt and added universal soil. 4 x 70l to area of 6m2 . I also planted seeds in universal soil without sprouting first. Day 3 : I gave water and checked for sprouts. Bought moist meter and dripping hose. Installed those and making the greenhouse more moisty now. Putted seeds in small sprout basket for now. Feeling : Verry happy for my first time. Lots to learn.. . Excited

Some issues with the leaves. Buds are getting big and filling out. Some neglect on my part again this week.

Day 50 - Started week 8 with a nice drink of water and nutes today. She’s definitely a fat a bushy girl and looking like she’s finally starting to kind of bud up a little bit on the top. I’d really like to do a heavy defoliation but don’t want to do anything to screw this grow up. She’s looking like she’s gonna be a hefty beast when all is said and done. I just placed her back in the tent and tucked everything as much as I could. Day 51 - Everything’s still looking good and stretched another inch in the last 24 hours. She’s a very bushy plant and a shit ton of bud sites so I went ahead and clipped off a couple of the lower branches trying to develop that are just not getting to the lights. Day 52 - Not much to say right now, nothing much going on. She’s definitely gonna need some water tomorrow or Saturday. So I just took her out today to give her a once over and placed her back into the tent and retucked the leaves. Day 54 - She’s still chugging along and still stretching quite a bit each day. She was pretty dry today and definitely ready for some water and nutes. On advice from a friend, I added some molasses to the water as well, so we’ll see what it does for her. I’m ready for her to really start budding up but she’s not quite there yet. Day 55 - Nothing much new for this girl today. Just took her out and removed a couple of fan leaves and put her back in the tent and tucked the leaves again. Day 56 - The end of week 8 and can definitely tell this will be a longer grow than I’ve been used to. She’s drinking the water and nutes like a fish so will be giving her more tomorrow to keep her growing. She’s still stretching quite a bit, over and inch the last 24 hours.

Overall very pleased. All the leaves are dark green and the plants are looking very happy. I’m giving them a couple more days before they are flipping into flower. All of them handle defoliation really well but Somango is a little to bushy to really do any organized Lst. I will try after Defoliation next week and give her a bit more surface area.

Starting flower on this tiny grow . I topped them 4 days ago , lets see how they do with their first flowering stage feed ! What are your thoughts guys ?

The plants are stressed AF and after more research from being here I'm seeing the problems. I got another fan and put it on the intake duct so that air was being actively pushed in rather than passively from the other fan which only takes air out. And then I got a photometer app called photone. So I fixed it until it read 100 on the PAR meter which the guys at the grow place told me was good. Now with this hygrometer I can pay attention to this and maybe set up alerts for when the VPD exceeds a certain range.

I will be vegging for a while still, autos will probably finish before I flip the clones that are still not rooted at 10 days. Coco has been a real issue for me this season, two bags both full of salt and killed off all seedlings and 4 stable saplings. Very bad things to say about Cana Coco and I will be abruptly changing my set up from Dutch buckets to boring old soilless mix, top fed from my exterior reservoir. Will be poking MANY holes (speedholes) in my containers and mixing a tonne of perlite into my mix so I can hopefully fertigate every 3 days Fingerblast the like button

The smells on these autos is just insane! Great terps, decent yield for an auto and should have been better but I screwed up the DWC in the transition weeks/- hard with multiple autos in one dwc bucket

D78 - We're just starting week seven of flower, and the girls are rocking it in the tent. I'm thrilled with how they are coming along. The buds are fattening up, with a more intense smell than they had only a few days ago. I'm starting to see the first signs of fading, and the trichomes are clear/milky with an odd amber here and there. I estimate that chop day is a couple of weeks off, which would bring it to eight weeks of flower. ________________________________ D80 - Pics ________________________________ D82 - I have been stuck in trim jail so it has been a couple of days since I looked in on the girls. They didn't miss me though as everything is just humming along. They look and smell amazing, citrus and pine, and the buds are fattening up with each passing day. Some additional fade but not much, to be honest. ________________________________ D84 - We are indeed on the home stretch at the end of the seventh week of flower. The girls look great with only a slight fade until now. I'm starting to see some amber trichomes but want more before harvest. Judging from how the trichomes have progressed this week, I say chop day is a week off.

The smell inside the tent is incredible, like standing in a forest filled with oranges and sweets. You can also observe various phenotypes. One standout is the orange creampop, a mutation; I'll attach a photo later --------------------- 👇 This week (Day 29 from 12/12) - Watering 1 to 1.5 liters per day.
