Another easy week for the chibans. I feel bad i did not include little chiban 2 in the diary. She was topped a while back and is much much smaller then her sister but her structure and growth i am pleased with. Glad i kept her now.. Number 1 is just a monster!! i cut her i have snapped and bent her but each time i come out the next day and she has just repaired whatever i have done and im sure if she could she would be holding her middle finger up at me as i walked in!! She is huge (relative to the space i have) I have never spent so much effort on past grows maintaing the perfect enviroment as i have on this grow and what it has shown me is huge.. Get this right and it seems they just do their thing.. Now she is flipped and in pre flower i am a little scared of what she will become.. Good job my tiny grow space is over 2M tall. Feeding is strange as they dont want too much. At the start of potting i mixed in ecothrive charge into the substrate and i have to say this stuff is amazing. I gave the first feed of nutes to these i think a week ago and it was a weak mix of grow and it gave them talons on the leaf tips which i took as a sign of N toxicity. So i think i could have stretched another week out of just water and beneficials. I will remember for next run. thats it really, i will be keeping an eye this week on the enviroment again as previous weeks and watching for any changes in requirements. The second defoliation of the bloom phase is done, and she’s already looking overwhelming in the best possible way. The canopy is packed with healthy tops, and opening her up revealed just how many bud sites are developing underneath. She took the defoliation like an absolute champ and barely seemed to notice it. Within no time she was praying again and pushing fresh growth everywhere. I’m getting really hyped for the weeks ahead. The structure is exactly where I wanted it to be, and she keeps responding perfectly to everything I throw at her. One thing she made very clear: she does not appreciate water-only feedings. I gave her plain water once, and she immediately let me know she wasn’t happy about it. Safe to say I won’t be making that mistake again.🙂‍↕️😂

What up fam, weekly update on these ladies. So far they've dealt with the heat like champs. Thankfully I got my AC fixed and it's back up and running. So thank God as we're having a heat wave still with day temps in the high 90's. They're getting fed 16oz of fed daily. It's looking like maybe another week or two before they'll get harvested. Just got done with trimming the 4x4 @greenhouseseedco Super Silver Haze / @blimburnseeds Silver Surfer Haze tent. The final yield is exactly 1000g plus some (kind of a lot)that I smoke in the last 2 weeks 😃 Also got 6, gallon size ziploc bags filled with good quality trim for concentrate. To be honest I was expecting a little more but keeping in mind that this grow I did not supplemented with bottled CO2 I think I’m good with the results. Definitely I enjoyed a lot this grow and I’ve learned even more.

¡Hola! Esta fue la 8va semana de floración. La planta formo de manera rápida muchos mas tricomas de los que tenia la semana pasada. De hecho, que haya tenido tantos pistilos y pocos tricomas me estaba preocupando, pero estos se desarrollaron muy rápido esta semana. Como ya nos estamos acercando al corte, estoy regando solamente con agua, mas allá de que con cultivos 100% orgánicos no sea necesario, me gusta bajarle un poco la carga al suelo para mejorar mas aun los sabores que nos otorga lo orgánico. Las fotos corresponden al ultimo día de la semana, el sábado 03/04/2021. No estuve muy inspirada, así que las fotos son aburridas. Hay fotos que la planta esta en otro lugar, ya que la movi abajo de un techo porque hay pronostico de lluvia para esos días, y es importante en estas semanas criticas que no estén bajo una tormenta. Esto ha sido todo. Cualquier sugerencia es bienvenida. Saludos!!

Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. TUESDAY 1/15: MuthaPHucking PH fluctuations again!!!!! 😖 I calibrate my 2 cheapo- ph pens everymotherPHucking day and STILL it happens....PHuck the dumb shit....I just ordered a $100+ Apera tester.👈 I watered everybody with about a half-gallon of water, plus heavy boomerang and calimagic, some bud candy, some terpinator, some kelp me kelp you, some armor silica, and the bloomers got their first dose of open sesame..no big bloom or grow big for anyone. WEDNESDAY: I foliar fed them a few times and calibrated my new ph tester. The big C4 is branching like crazy...the little one is flowering now..hopefully she stretches really well too. All 3 WW's have started flowering. I FIM'd the last 2 WW's today, so everybody's done. Debbie Diesel is looking strong..big thick main stalk. The Northern Lights is also showing me some vertical growth now. All 3 Candy Canes are budding up nicely.👍 FRIDAY: I fed everybody about a half-gallon and foliar fed them a couple of times. SATURDAY: Foliar fed a few times The Candy Canes have stretched so much that I may need to raise my lights a little..they are about 16 inches from the tops now....monitoring... SUNDAY: Foliar fed a few times Still no sign of light burn on the CC's, so I'm leaving the lights where they are. MONDAY: Still moist..will water tomorrow with my new pump-driven system👍

Day 21 After an emergency bare root transplant from a biosolids medium to organic soil, there’s a glimmer of hope for my photoperoiod plants🙏 They got topped and pruned yesterday. a little earlier than I would have liked, but it made sense. Day 23 Transplanted again down to 2 gallon pots to make room for another round I started. I decided to cut the fan leaves, too. These have been pruned and topped down to nothing but the emerging foilage from the 3rd and 4th nodes. My thinking is that the root system is so compromised that the less foliage they have to feed, the better. Fed some General Organics Bio Root 0-1-1 to promote root growth. Light mnist of pH’d water for foilar feeding. Day 25 I think the Bio Root and the shade is doing them good 🤞Time will tell. If these come back strong, I’ll move them into 15 gallon living soil bags.

Another busy week with the vege. I gave it microbes, a HID lamp at 400 watts, sprayed for bugs and also covered the media with plastic wrap to get rid of 3 or 4 gnarts and of course a had another flood with the GoGro water system and I took one plant out of the garden because she is frozen in time. I still don't know why. The trellis is doing good. Lots of work.
