Well everything went smoothly this week still feeding same schedule I have notice the leaves are fading a good amount but it’s pretty late flower so nothing to worry about, I did check trichomes at day 70 and they seem to be about half cloudy half clear, no Amber in sight yet but hopefully next week they start ambering up I’m thinking maybe 85 days or longer for this one

Great harvest, I was impressed with the quality of this strain. After the drying and curing process, I'll give my feedback! 💪

🌿 Grow Update: Week 6 of Flower 🌸 Hey growers, We're cruising through Week 6 of flowering, and I gotta say, things are looking solid in my grow setup. This being my first rodeo, I'm pretty stoked with how it's all turning out. The plant's rocking a deep green, which could be a bit of nitrogen overload or just her natural vibe. Regardless, she's thriving, Ive been so stupid letting her get so big in a 5gallon i wouldn't be surprised if she is rootbound.. Got a bit of a snag with some lower bud sites getting overshadowed by the top canopy. Didn't want to push my luck with more defoliation i cant really at this point of flower, but hey, it's all a learning experience next round, I'll be more surgical. Already thinking about the next grow — tossing in a couple of plants in 5-gallon pots, keeping veg short and sweet at 4-5 weeks. Gonna tighten up the training game for sure. Despite the lower buds not getting as much love, the top ones are coming along nicely. She's a thirsty one, so I'm hitting her with 4 liters at lights on and another 2 liters a few hours before lights off to keep that coco from drying out. Got about 3-4 more weeks to go, and I'm itching to see how it all pans out. Can't wait to see the final yield and taste the goods. I wish I had better lights. These are cheap ts600 and par600 The last week i did major pruning of lower shaded popcorn buds, skinny stringy branches. Tied outter buds towards more lighting and have cut water and nutrients back. Ive found that if you let a plant get on the drier side. That it'll give you more frost, better flavor, and larger colas. This method comes from fine wine makers who force not so optimal conditions onto their vines. This in turn causes the plant to work harder and focused more on bud than growing new fan leaves. Cannabis plants biggest goal is to get a cola in to the air as high as it can in hopes to get a pollinating creatures attention. If you manipulate this you can force the plant to make better buds. Because theres a chance the plant senses danger because of the watering routine changing

Excited to see the pistols keep coming and coming I have such tight spacing that the buds will probably start connecting by the end of the week on the Royal Gorilla Day 19- Tomorrow I will tie some branches down to open up the plants more. The LSD plants needs it the most!

A day late on the update, had to move a big arse shed yesterday... Girls are budding on strong now. Recovered from the soap blast they got to rid the plants of a heavy aphid infestation. Accidentally sprayed pretty heavy a second time. Well it killed the bugs but slowed bud production for a few days. Things are back to blooming beautifully now. Shout out to AMS again for some of the best genetics this world has to offer...👍

2023-09-19 I had to cut them a little earlier, than planned, because of one Plnat in the Room, that hermied. Trichomes were milky/ some were amber. So for me fine. In the end of the Grow, the Plants had structureproblems, Buds went to heavy for the stems, and they needed a corsage. But MSNL mentioned that, i just underestaminated it. Budswise iam very fine, Buds look crumbely but are dense and frosty. UPDATE october, 18th I harvested the Outdoor Plants, that were finalising Indoors( last 4 Weeks. and they were perfect! super structure, solid branches ans stems Buds HUGE dense and crusted with Trichomes 10 of 10 Points

They grew really bushy because the light was too intense. Topped them to get more light to the side branches

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Germination 07/09/2022 Hi to all the old and new growers out there. Spring has barely started but I'm so AMPED to start again. My first grow attempt was a disaster. I started to early for the season. I wasted some good seeds and those Blasted 🐌 🐌 snails messed up everything. Got up started again and took it as a learning curve. I had 1 seed left from the previous attempt and this had to be the golden ticket. The first important thing I learned was getting to the correct pH. Used a 1 liter jug not knowing that the pH down was very concentrated substance. Added 1ml of pH down to tap water with a base of 8.5+ pH and brought it down all the way to less than 4.5 pH. I probably tried like 5 times and realized that a single drop made a difference of about 2 pH. I got the feel of it and had to source a better water supply. I had the option of using tap water but didn't have the time to do a 24 hour airstone run ever time I wanted to water the plants. The local water supply shop was a better option. I got a consistent 6 pH and the price was decent. The Snail 🐌 Problem... I have a plan for those F**kers. We have 2 very nice hydroponic shops in my city. Familia, estoy convencido de que esta variedad va a predominar del resto 🙈. No ahora en serio una gran variedad para cultivadores novatos, puedes plantarlas directamente a maceta y no se espigarán 3/3 comprobado. Parece muy sencilla de cultivar, controlamos ph , temperatura y humedad que estén en sus respectivos valores. Se ven bastante sanas, pronto tocará hacer algún trasplante iremos viendo próximamente

The buds are pretty dense and super sticky! I went through a whole box of gloves lol 😂 Terp-wise, it’s lemony and earthy… the kind of strain where just smelling it, you already know it’s gonna hit hard 🔥🍋

09/11/2019 Week # 6 of flowering, going to top dress with 1tbsp ditomacitious earth, and 1tbsp of garden gypsum. Last of any inputs she should have enough nutes to finish. Only 2-3 weeks to go !

One more week and they look really nice , very healthy.very happy with this grow..
