Lots of good growth this week. Continuing to tie branches down as she grows. Doing 1 last tie down session tonight, and starting a gradual switch from 18/6 to 12/12 accompanied by a gradual lowering of the blue spectrum over the next next week.

She's developing very well,did have no problems with any fungal infection,this week rained and had problems with other plants,she's very resistant.

I welcome you from Russia my friends from different parts of the world. The end of 16 weeks has come. Plants already fully show their ripeness, and buds SAG from their weight. Soon I will be harvesting, as soon as I get the final dry product I will make the last update of this diary.

Not much to write about this week. It might not look like it, but I did a heavy defoliation and removed a lot of lower growth and leaves that would’ve turned into larf. I’ll clean a little more out as things progress. Stretch has calmed down and resin production has started. Fan leaves and sugar leaves are already getting lightly coated. Now we’re getting into the fun part where the plant starts putting on weight. I decided not to use any supplemental lighting this run since it’s my first time running this strain. I’m hoping to use this pheno in an upcoming breeding project, assuming no weak traits show up. So far though, this plant has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without any issues, so we’ll see how the next couple weeks go

01-11-2021: Good afternoon everyone... here we are again. My Bruce Banger will be ready in a week so I thought... I can probably germinate some seeds. I still have a lot of them (thanks to zamnesia) Every now and then I also post a report on Growdiaries and since you can only enter a competition there by using only one Strain I decided to put a round of Wedding Cake. I wanted to grow this variety when I still got my seeds from seedstockers, but found it too expensive at the time. Now I had two fish vouchers from zamnesia, each one good for 5 Wedding Cake Auto seeds. I didn't really like AFs per se (although I enjoy the result every day) so I called them and asked if I couldn't get Photos instead of Autoflowers... That was no problem at all, so I now have 10 have seeds. I have not yet found a method of germination on Hydro that works well for me, so we're going to do it in the most reliable way for me... old-fashioned in Cocos plugs. I let it fill itself with acidified (PH5.9) water and then provided each plug with a seed. I now put this under a 60W purple LED lamp that I still had from my very first cultivation attempt. Once they are up (I'm guessing/hope with a week) these will go into my budget system to grow there under 480W LM301H panels for a few weeks but with only 12 hours of light. The idea is to move these to the large closet as soon as they are about 4 weeks old, but that is not necessarily a requirement because you can also remove the lamps from that loft and move them to this room. That depends a bit on the size. What I'm going to test this round is how good/bad 12/12 from seed is doing in Hydro. Since most feeding schedules with hydro assume that you only pre-grow 1 week, I thought I might as well rule out that one week. In addition, from the moment the roots emerge from under the net pots, I want to increase the EC to 1.5 fairly quickly. I like small stocky plants without having to scrog. Maybe I'll top and maybe even mainline, but that depends entirely on the development of the ladies. In any case, there will be no feeding computer for the first few weeks (a bluelab Guardian) and as growth food they are given Hy-Pro Hydro A/B with Calmag (4-4-1 ratio). I expect very low temperatures in space so it won't be a banger. I have the impression that a correct root temperature compensates to some extent. I'm still looking for a way to transport the ladies in the right way (or I have to find a way to be able to use the same net pots in both systems). But that is of later concern. Since I only have 1 pre-growth room and 1 flowering room, I will put these ladies in a kitchen cupboard for the next week. The Bruce Banger goes on Sunday and then I can put them in there. The idea is to continue breeding on 12/12 from now on. After six weeks, new seeds will always germinate and no more than 5 at a time. I now make a round with originally 15 ladies, 3 of them were left behind in such a way that I took them out (to prevent rot) with the probable cause of too little light. 5 Planting will probably yield a little less, but hey, I can't finish it otherwise. And now my friends are very happy with my clearing days but of course that is not what I grow for. In addition, it also hurts a bit to give away 3-4 ounces after so many months of work. I dry trimmed everything I harvested. What I mean is I cut all fan leaves while the plant was still in the ground. I trimmed what I could and hung the whole plant for a few days then separated branches. The ice cream cake and the large seedling are both still hanging intact. Ice cream cake was easy as it grew more like a sativa them the indicas I usually grow. Plant reached a height of 9 to 10 feet. Yield was some what diminished due to septoria. This strain seemed particularly sensitive to plant diseases.

Cracked a few stems, twisting them 2, 3 points in the main stem and once on each lateral stem, very early monstercropping, cracked the stem without rupturing xylem or phloem channels, minimal recovery, maximum stress and response. There is a new need for significant reinforcement. I know this knuckle will eventually require the throughput of a superhighway. No point in dilly-dallying. Growth grinds to a halt, at least it feels like that. Energy is now distributed fairly evenly to each stem at equal heights and equal light intensity. Growth is not slower; there is just far, far more to do all at once in equal measure, start raising her soil EC up to 1.0mS/cm and maintaining. Upped to 40DLI for now. Temps back in the daytime 87+ range. NPK Raw Grow to keep the soil water solution at 1.0ms/cm, thereabouts. Enzymes and amino acids are applied foliarly to the underside of leaves each night 🌙. Aim to coat the undersides of the leaves where the majority of the stomata are located. Use a spray with smaller droplets to increase the surface area of the leaves that are covered. Adding a surfactant to the mix can help the spray spread better on the leaf surface, improving absorption. Just remember not to add anything immobile.. Heat denatures enzymes. "blah blah what's the point? It's hardly going to do much." Plants have a surprisingly low photosynthetic efficiency, typically converting only 1% to 2% of the total solar energy that hits them into chemical energy. (Too much defoliation and high VPD all night). In fully optimized conditions, that rises to 6%-8% efficiency. Plants may use approximately 25% of their respiratory energy (50% of total respiration) for enzyme turnover, which includes production and repair, but the exact energy cost for heat damage repair is not specific, as the total respiratory energy is not definitively given for plants. Plants generally have a high protein turnover rate, with enzymes making up a substantial portion of this turnover. 10% total ATP is photosynthetically processed. 90% total ATP is processed during cellular respiration. 25% -50% total respiratory energetic output is spent on enzyme turnover (Ballpark). Sounds like it's worthwhile to me. The longer you have waited, the harder you must swing.

The second one has been in veg for about 20 weeks, while it was in veg, i trained it with lst and hst, now we are a in flowering for a couple of weeks. Third diary will come within this diary too, i took a monstercrop clone, it's revegging now, curious of the outcome, since this strain already has tight internodes on the branches. Buds still packing, strong smell...

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now almost halfway through flowering which is 4 weeks into flower, and the stretch has just finished. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I did start to add a PK booster last week pushing the EC up to 1.4. I also switched the Medic Grow light from V1 to the F1 Spectrum at the beginning of last week, and will be integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 44" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 40" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 tent is starting to really fill up and they are just now starting to smell. I was out of town all weekend so I was unable to make a time lapse video but I will update next week. I did defoliate twice this week and I may do one or two more rounds before just letting them do their thing. Not much to do from here on out except make sure the reservoir is full and the PH is in the proper range. WEEK 11) DAY1 Changed light schedule from 20/4 to 18/6 which will stay that way until harvest. Now I also start dropping the temperature 1 degree every 3-4 days. You don’t have to do this! I do this so the plants gradually acclimate to the lower temperatures like fall and then the beautiful different colors that come out from every individual Girl are different.
