Stayed short and stocky throughout it’s life. Had lots of leaf to deal with, but other than that there were no issues and it was an easy grow made easier by the grow dots. Added them early in veg and only added filtered water that was not pH adjusted after that. Grew some nice frosty buds that reek like juicy fruit and garlic.

Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.

She drinks a lot and drives all her energy to the buds, they are getting really huge 😎 I noticed some slight foxtailing on the upper colas but this is probably due to my QB being too close so I'll dim the driver down to 75% to end the flowering cycle of this GoldBarKush because I have no more vertical space left. The orange smell is delicious! Can't wait!

Week 1 of veg. In the books and we have a stable of very healthy and incredibly vigorous plants on the grow here. Even the runty one (there’s always one) has shown some signs of strong growth and we may not end up culling her from the mix at all. Over the last couple days, growth has exploded with no signs of slowing down - even after their transplant to the bigger pots👍. They’re doing everything they’re supposed to and showing that F1 vigour at every step. So far, so good and we really couldn’t ask for a better start to this run. We incorporated a very mild solution of our primary nute this week - Druid Berkana. This stuff is a one part system designed for the whole cycle and its proven to be one of the best all-around nute brands we’ve tried to date. Some light foliar spraying with liquid karma continues to mid week and then they’re all on their own👌. Expecting big things from this run and if we get lucky with continued robust growth - might be able to take clones after the third week of veg and flip🤞🤞🤞. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. So many things have changed. My partner left me and took the left plant. I did more defoliation and performed lollipoping. It's a pity I couldn't do it a week ago. Hope they will grow much, I’m really scared of receiving popcorn.

So liebe grower, 20 Wochen voller Spannung sind für mich ins Land gezogen und ich muss sagen ich bin begeistert von dieser Sorte, das Wachstum verlief gut und sie hat sich fast garnicht für mein topping und lst Interessiert und einfach weiter gemacht mit ihrem Wachstum. In der blüte gab es dann ein paar Probleme mit Überdüngung die ich verursacht habe was mich sicherlich Ertrag gekostet hat aber dank der fleißigen Helfer hier auf Grow diaries war das Problem schnell gelöst und der Schaden minimal gehalten danke schon mal an euch ihr seid die besten. Aber ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön möchte ich an Mrs Larimar richten da er/sie mir bei einigen Fragen geholfen hat und eigendlich immer gleich zur Stelle war wenn was mit meinen Ladys war, also danke Mrs Larimar du hast 1000 likes verdient für deine Arbeit die du hier auf Grow diaries leistest. Zum eigendlich en Ergebnis zurück gelato 41#1 hatt 374,94 gramm abgeworfen, gelato 41#2 hatt 361,01 gramm her gegeben, gelato 41#3 satte 370,37 gramm und zu guter letzt gelato 41 #4 330,29 gramm sind insgesamt 1436,61 gramm nass Gewicht. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden mit dem Ergebniss und finde das gelato 41 ein guter produktiver Cannabis stamm ist. Zu dem Wachstum der Knospen im allgemeinen kann ich sagen das bei 4 Ladys 3 verschiedene Profile raus kamen gelato 41 #1 und #4 haben eher längliche colas entwickelt die relativ fest sind gelato 41 #2 hat eher tennis Bälle produziert die echt hart wie holzbälle sind und gelato 41 #3 war ne Mischung aus den beiden. Zum Geruch der sich über die gesammte blüte immer wieder verändert hat es fing an mit zitrus Noten die dann gepaart wurden mit so nem cremigen touch dann kam ein hauch von Minze hinzu und ganz am Ende Rochen die Ladys nach cremigen sauerlichen Beeren mit leichtem Zitronen Duft der gepaart mit cremiger minz Note einher geht einfach nur lecker im Duft. Trocken Gewicht werde ich updaten wenn die Ladys in die Gläser gehen und Rauch Bericht nr.1 folgt dann ca 14 Tage später und Rauch Bericht Nr2 weitere 14 Tage später, euch allen noch einen wunder schönen Grow mit reichlich ernte und bis zum nächsten Bericht cu........

Royal Gorilla Automatic: Checked out some similar grow diaries and came to the conclusion that she's definitely in shock as she's lagging behind quite a bit. Last week I diagnosed the plant with some deficiencies (mg/mn/calc), possibly caused by the soil's PH being to acidic. To counter this, I started the week by topdressing the plant with some fresh soil, quite a bit of kelp meal (to raise PH and supply the plant with calcium and magnesium) and some worm compost. This time I watered the plant without adding lactobacillus. This seems to have been effective seeing as the plant has restarted growing . Buds are finally starting to dense up, trichomes are finally forming and the plant is starting to look healthy again. Still waiting on the smell though. Added some bone meal at the end of the week to try and get the buds to dense up some more. Solomatic: Plant is looking great, showing no signs of nutrient deficiencies. Her buds are getting quite dense and the trichomes are present and sticky as fuck. She has a nice haze like smell to her, which I really like. Although she isn't showing any signs of deficiencies I did add a tiny bit of kelp meal and worm compost at the start of the week, followed by some bone meal at the end of the week. Normally I wouldn't add fertilizer this close to harvest, but I have a feeling I can get the buds to dense up even more this way. Will probably give her another week and a flush before I harvest her. Stress Killer: The healthiest plant of the bunch, showing absolutely no signs of deficiencies or stress. The sweet smell is present, yet not (yet) overwhelming. Her buds are getting really dense and the trichomes are everywhere and super sticky. Added some fresh soil, some worm compost and a bit of kelp meal at the start of the week, followed by some bone meal at the end of the week. She should normally grow for about 10-12 weeks, so I'm expecting her to fatten up like crazy now. Can't wait to smoke this one.

June 21: first day of summer and Tropicana Cookies FF is doing fine. Foliar spray in the morning of Extreme Blend, and potassium silicate to toughen the stems. Using Dr Bronner’s Peppermint soap as a wetting agent. Started a lazy compost tea this afternoon. Third tea so far this year. June 24: almost ready for the second round of topping. Likely tomorrow. June 25: video show second round of topping to make the manifold.

Both are looking good, very big and colorful! They are both suffering from a slight nute burn so I’ll be cutting down on nutes from here on. Defoliating a bit here and there but cruising along for the rest 🔥

Happy Easter Everyone! Time for an update During week 10 NEW LIGHT installed!! ViparSpectra XS2000. So excited! I think the plants are a little shocked from the change in light but hopefully they recover just fine. This week 3 of the plants definitely started showing some issues I have never had before. I started noticing rust spots on the upper top leaves of the plants which I believe was the consequence of the following... A.Nutrient lockout B. Soil PH too low from over fertilization C. Soil PH being too low due to the peat moss in the growing medium. I have purchased dolomite lime as an organic alternative to properly balance soil PH for my next grow. I did do a light flush with PHd water at 6.5. Plan for week 11 Going to be adding some Calcium to the soil during next watering to see if that helps new growth on the plants (Tuesday) At this point I will be just keeping an eye on more rust spots forming on the leaves. I have backed off on adding more P & PK at this time because I think I over fertilized last time. I am learning a lot still with every week of this grow. I know now how to dial in the nutrients and better amending soil first. Since my soil has peat moss I think that had a lot to do with the acidity as it breaks down. Really hoping these girls continue to finish out okay! Thinking that they will take the full 14/15 weeks at this point.

New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! A última hora de la tarde (cuando ya no había sol directo) les apliqué H2O en spray foliarmente para refrescar los estomas Hoy parece que vuelven las temperaturas estándar para esta época del año: 29 - 30 ºC en las horas centrales del día Riego con 1 litro de H20 pH 6,5 Día 46 (17/07) Pequeños ajustes de LST Hay algunas ramas inferiores que no se han formado / estirado mucho Lo más probable es que haga una buena limpieza este domingo, 7 días después del trasplante, para dejar solo los brotes por encima del 4º nudo Día 47 (18/07) Riego con 0,5 litro de H20 pH 6,5 Este domingo (día 50) haré limpieza de partes bajas y tal vez también de nuevo topping en las 4-6 ramas principales 😁 Día 48 (19/07) Día de muchísimo calor con 37 ºC. Great week for my beautiful girl's. Not much to say about this week. Just start normal feeding in every other day with 250ml solution for every girl and spray the top soil to keep moist. And also I trimmed the lowest leaves. They look happy because of this.
