Aug 24: cool and rainy lately but will warm up again in a couple days. Gorilla Cookies looks really good and is flowering nicely. Very nice strain. Added some soluble seaweed to the water mostly for the K. Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light to put them into dark mode. Using the far red light like this is known as phyto-forcing and it’s like getting an extra two hours of darkness making a 26 h day. This far north I think it moves flowering up by 3-4 weeks so obviously a huge trick. Easy and cheap if you have daily access at dusk. Aug 26: it’s been a couple of weeks but I figured it was time for a lazy compost tea. I watered with it slightly diluted and the plants look almost immediately greener and more vigorous…amazing actually. 👍👍 Aug 27: this is definitely the fastest flowering of the four. Hopefully it stays sunny for a few more weeks. Thinned out the understory a bit as there were some small branches and bud sites that were not going to do anything. Check out the birds sounds on the first video. The magpies thought I was too close to their nest in the tree or something…they’re usually not quite that annoying. Aug 29: this is a great strain, and the manifold is working its magic.

Very beginning of week 10. She is gearing up for flower. She is stretching, but I keep pulling everything down. She has been 36 inches for a month. She is about 41 wide. 8/13 Her pot was on the dry side. Gave her 2 gallons of water. I'd say 10 percent run off. I use the ph strips. I bring water home from my job. Their water is the perfect PH according to the strips. I test her run off today. Looks like a low 6. 8/14 2 gallons of water with 8 tablespoons of fox farm Big Bloom and 1 teaspoon of recharge. I do like the foxfarm products. Some Big Bloom can make a sick plant healthy. Have to check, think she is ready to be fed. 8/16 per 2 gallons 4 ml Grow Big, 4 ml Tiger Bloom 1/2 teaspoon Open Sesame 8/18 4 Tablespoons Foxfarm Bigbloom and 1/2 teaspoon recharge. Per Gallon 1 day I will get a ph meter. First year spent enough. The plants look very healthy. Unless the strips are completely worthless, she looks to be in her happy place. She was fed very well the past week. I might do 1 more water then feed. She is forming her sites. 8/13. Makes it easy to space the sites out. Also to know what to remove. Have to force myself to cut off what's not making it. Think flower.

I am impressed with the result, and I don't really believe that I will ever be able to improve it :) It was a truly amazing journey with FastBuds Gorilla cookies auto, my house is filled with a wonderful sweet smell, the buds look really full and very very shiny :) I also collected a lot of sugar leaves from which I will make bubble hash:) the girl coped with high temperatures and high humidity throughout her growth, which is why I was afraid of rot, but everything went well!!!! She is amazing. smoke review and dry weight will be up very soon, good luck to everyone :)!!!

Day 127 - Watered/fed today. About 180 oz of water given, with 1/2 tsp Bloom, 1/2 tsp Mag Pro per gallon. It is anticipated that this is the last feed, and will be given water only, the next 2-3 feeds before harvest, to flush/fade the girl (come on autumn colors!). I happened to be searching a couple buds and found my first 3 amber trichs on a calyx. The final countdown has begun! Day 128 - Nothing to note, I was lucky to be around enough to get the photo. Day 129 - I feel like there has been some new calyx development over the last few days, but I am still going with my plan to flush 2-3 times before a harvest. I feel like if I was properly set up, and honestly stocked with current flower, I could probably let this thing go another 3 weeks (rookie grower thoughts), but I am still looking to harvest in 10-12 days. Talking to a few different people, ran a few ideas past me, but I think I am going with my plan for this first grow. Someone mentioned one more big bloom feed before a flush, but I think I'm just ready to be done feeding. The idea of 24 hours of darkness before harvest to 'boost trichs' was brought to me by another person, and I am still unsure of my thoughts on that plan. Day 130 - The 'flush' has begun. Today the plant was given 2 gallons of water, which is almost 50% more than was given with feed, as she had been getting 180oz or so of water. You can really tell the difference in the amount of runoff! Lets see how long she takes to really show a fade. Day 131 - I got nothing for today. Snapped a pic and bolted out of the house. Day 132 - Again, sadly, I got nothing for today. A picture and out the door. Day 133 - 11 weeks of flower are down. She was watered today, with another 2 gallons of water only. I added a small amount of new Mother Earth Coco Peat to the pot, in my mind, just to ensure that she doesn't fade out too quickly. Probably a bit unnecessary and may not help, but I did it anyways :) I originally planned on chopping likely at the end of this weekend, but I might see if she can hold out 2 more water only feeds, and chop next Thurday-Friday, at the end of the 12th week. I keep checking a few buds with the loupe, and still can barely find any amber, but also don't see any clear trichs. Either way, I am going to be anxious for this last week to finish up, then the real test of waiting will come, hanging and curing!

Ladies and gentlemen, here we are on day 63 and as you can see, this girl is a beauty...Kannabia Seeds thank you so much for this grow and others so far so good.. this girl starting to get purple hues everywhere and I think there's more purple to come as I dropped the temperatures near the end of flower.. a few weeks back, I noticed she had too much nitrogen, so I completely switched Plagron nutrients green sensation, and i've been using that only.. i think the flush should start soon and hopefully she is done in the next few weeks .. I have a few strains in my tent at the moment but as it's my first diary I will be sticking with the one strain which is sweet deep grapefruit by dinafem seeds. Into week 8 we go, last week before flipping to 12/12, plant looks healthy and seems to be thriving using remo nutrients at the exact dosage recommended, only issue is new growth seems to be a little skinny an twisted at first but then sorts itself out any ideas why this could be? Humidity has been a little low past week but as I'm flipping soon I'm not to bothered by that. Give plant a little defoliation last week doesn't look like I touched her thhe way she bounced back lol. So far so good happy with the progress she's making :)

Almost there- chop day for the rainbow forest! 🌈✂️ After 77 days, the plants have reached that perfect 10% amber / 90% milky trichome ratio I was aiming for. Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟 It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments! While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless. Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process: 1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying! 2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison! 3️⃣ Yield Update Wet, the total came in at 97grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment. 4️⃣ Curing Plan The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing. Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨ As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results!
