PurpleBeen Week 2/ My late germination slowed down the start a little, but everything is going very well now. We started using a small amount of amino acid foliar spray because we noticed some early yellowing, and they seem to have really liked it. Watering : 100ml

PurpleBeen Bahaha, what a mess with this strain! I ultimately decided to put one into DWC, keep one as a mother plant, and send one directly into flowering. For now, though, we’ll only be monitoring the DWC one. I removed the soil directly over a basin under the tap and transferred the plant, making sure one of the roots from the cup was submerged in the water and positioned directly in the bubbles. I added one tablespoon of Grow Veg and half a tablespoon of pH Perfect, bringing the solution to around pH 5.9–6.0 and an EC of 0.6.

PurpleBeen Currently in the second week of DWC, although we’re not really counting that. We’ve been counting from the very beginning, so we’re now at week five of growth. We’re going to let the plants fill out the 60×60 tent nicely before letting them really take off. The solution hasn’t been changed every week. As long as there’s no smell and the pH or ppm levels don’t fluctuate aggressively, I won’t be emptying and changing the DWC reservoir. Other than that, nothing much to add. I’ve moved up to around 500–800 ppm, with the pH between 5.8 and 6.0. The light is dimmed to 50%. Topping has been done, and I’ll be FIMing the next shoots that come through to encourage multiple new growth points.

PurpleBeen Week 6/(week 3 in dwc) Everything is going smoothly during the DWC vegetative stage! We’re continuing to pinch the plants to expose new tops without causing any damage, and we’ve reset the reservoir to 1,000 ppm at the beginning of week six of growth.

PurpleBeen Week 1/ Flo We’re entering the flowering stage with our Somango in DWC, and I’m practically running out of space—which is a good sign, haha. I may have accidentally defoliated a little too much, which could explain the slight discoloration on the tips of the young leaves, although there may be another reason. At the moment, I’m using Sensistar Bloom from Platinum Nutrients as a base—this is the first time I’ve used it in DWC—and everything is going really well. The terpenes are especially pronounced already at the beginning of flowering, with a strong fruity, mango-forward profile
