Week 7: Flowering Stage – The Frost Factory & Bud Swelling šŸ¦ā„ļø Development: 🌿 We have officially advanced into Week 7 of bloom, and the Gorilla Z is turning into an absolute masterpiece. The resin production is skyrocketing—the sugar leaves and calyxes are heavily coated in a thick blanket of glittering trichomes, filling the air with a pungent, sweet, and gassy terpene profile. The buds are swelling massively, packing on dense weight and expanding in size along the strong, supportive branches. Almost all of her energy is now locked into final flower maturation and maximizing potency. šŸš€šŸ“ˆ Setup & Environment: šŸŒ”ļø She continues to thrive inside her outdoor greenhouse shelter. The environment is warm and bright, allowing the plant to push its resin defenses to the absolute limit under the natural sun. Excellent passive ventilation is keeping the airflow constant around the dense flower clusters, which is vital for keeping the humidity down inside the heavy canopy during this deep maturation phase. ā˜€ļøšŸŒ¦ļø Nutrients & Water šŸ’§ Watering: Consuming a steady amount of water to keep the metabolic processes active. I am strictly maintaining the wet-to-dry cycle to ensure the root zone stays healthy and properly oxygenated. Feed (per Liter): FishĀ·Mix: 3 ml BioĀ·Bloom: 3 ml TopĀ·Max: 1 ml ActiĀ·Vera: 3 ml BioĀ·Heaven: 3 ml CalMag: 1 ml Grower’s Notes šŸ’ Goal for this week: Support the peak flower development and monitor trichome cloudiness. The colas are becoming extremely heavy, compact, and sticky to the touch. The genetics are really shining through now with that legendary Gorilla frost combined with a rich, candy-like undertone. We are getting closer to the finish line, and she is looking incredibly promising! šŸ¦šŸ”„

WEEK 14 I’m thrilled. The plants are developing beautifully. They’ve gained a good bit in height again, but the canopy has become exceptionally even and bushy. Thanks to the long training, many strong shoots have grown, and both plants have a massive stem and impressive root system. They’re slowly beginning to give off a light scent as well. A very sweet cannabis aroma is already noticeable. I believe this will become one of their key characteristics in the future. Due to their height, I had to remove my internal dehumidifier and now use it as an intake dehumidifier. That way, I’m also able to further reduce the humidity in my grow space. I only fertilized once this week because I repotted the plants into fresh Allmix a few weeks ago, so the soil is still very rich in nutrients. The leaves have a healthy color and the plants are generally in great condition. Next week, I’ll raise the VPD and begin fertilizing twice a week. Other than that, I’ll leave the plants to continue growing undisturbed and hope all my shoots soon develop fully into blossoms.

Day 49 These beauties continued to stretch after the defoliation. Stretch is done and the buds are getting bigger. I’ve secured some of the branches to the trellis to create more space between them. Everything is going fine. Not much to comment on. Happy Growing 🌱

Niagara auto grew really well. Minor issues along the way. She produced a lot of flower, and has a great smell. It was a 109 day grow which is kinda up there, but has a lot of flower. The Viparspectra P4000 light worked great šŸ‘. She is hanging to dry, waiting to be processed. Will be back with a final weight, and smoke report hopefully In a few weeks. Thank you Viparspectra, and Doctors Choice. šŸ¤œšŸ¤›šŸŒ±šŸŒ±šŸŒ± There is a harvest video on my YouTube channel. The site won't let me upload it. Link to channel below. Harvest time I decide two hang the entire plant for a slow drying !! I finally removed the plant to much humidity it was around 80%😄 it’s raining hard those days anyway I checked every buds and no mold so I switched to my old method . šŸ“¦ humidity now it’s 55% šŸ‘Œ 5 days of drying I try to keep humidity around 60 and 17 degrees to keep all terpenes n flavour, terpene don’t like low humidity ,heat ,and of course lightning ,see y’a next update šŸ’ŖšŸ’ŖšŸ’Ŗ I had 34g of nice frosty trim ,for the first time I’ve made some nice bubble hash amazing I love it!!! I watch all of he’s videos he was the marster of hash RIP French cannoli šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

I want to thank you Paul @New420GuySeeds for this beautiful plant. She's getting close to that time. I'm both excited and a little sad cuz we've done this grow together. Kinda a fucked up reality. Critical 47 has a few lower branches that are starting to drop due to the weight of the bud. I been curious if I could lop off some these baby branches at this stage without consequences.? Anybody know? Maybe sample the bud before the harvest.. would be nice. Ive been doing my best at snapshots of trichomes so I may get a better ETA of the due date. This will be my first ever to harvest anything more than a common cherry tomato. Lol. Any useful advice is welcome, start a chat if ya wanna!! I love company! And hey we already have a shared common interest! Gotta start somewhere. So critical 47 is sticky and smells up the whole house, no deficiencies noticed, growth has stopped as far as I can tell, yet she is still feeding without waste. I changed my regular fertilizer from the fox farm to Dr JimZ. With good results. The fox farm is a great fertilizer as well. I do mix the chicken soup for the soil with the fox farm trio. Cha Ching beastie blooms and open sesame. Dr. JimZ Bloom Kaboom is a once a month application for flowering plants. Good stuff. If I were to grow her again I would, an I would definitely put her in a larger container without the burlap sack. Don't use that crap it's no good. Lol. It's created a protective base under the soil for pests to dwell. I'm sure when I pull it all up there's gonna be a super complexed colony of mighty gnats, I think of some ancient Greece city with all the thrills and shit. Lol. Gnat overlords. My own damn fault. Gnats aren't that bad, they're just eating dead roots. There's definitely worse pests to have in the garden. "Nicole, how do you keep them so dark green?" Easy. I put used coffee grounds into my cannabis plants top soil. If I don't make a tea with it. You can find these helpful recipes @RoyalQueenSeeds with all the good info and instructions. I also make banana brew for my girls, it's rich with everything they need. Helps them grow strong. The coffee grounds help them maintain that healthy green glow (nitrogen). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week. Take care.

She continues to show good growth. I had to do some more defoliation this week to remove the bigger fan leaves...again. She's showing good bud formation and I am enjoying watching her grow. She is nice therapy after my heart attack. Growing relaxes me and gives me almost as much relief as the medicine I am growing.

🌱 Germination Journey with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! Today kicks off an exciting adventure with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco genetics. I’ve got 10 regular seeds ready to sprout, and I’m looking forward to discovering some beautiful female phenotypes—and maybe even a standout male for potential future breeding. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with regular seeds, so I’m thrilled to dive in! Germination Process Overview: Here’s a step-by-step rundown of the germination setup and process, with a special focus on the equipment and nutrients that are helping these seeds thrive right from the start. Step 1: TheCannaKan Germination Pod 🌱 For germination, I rely on TheCannaKan—a device I’ve come to love and trust. It’s designed to create the perfect microclimate for seed germination, and within just 24 hours, the seeds started showing signs of life. By the 32-hour mark, they were all ready to be transferred to the next stage! I can’t recommend this gadget enough for anyone serious about getting strong, early growth from their seeds. • Why TheCannaKan? • Humidity Control: Ensures seeds stay hydrated without oversaturation. • Stable Temperature: Maintains an even temperature around the seeds, so there’s no shock or stalling. • Enhanced Oxygenation: Keeps fresh air circulating, helping prevent mold and ensuring seeds don’t suffocate. Step 2: Transfer to Root Riots & Aptus Holland Supplements šŸ’§ Once the seeds were sprouted, I transferred them into Root Riots, known for their excellent water retention and structure that encourages strong root growth. Root Riots also have a pH-balanced, spongy texture that makes it easy for roots to penetrate, promoting sturdy, healthy root systems. At this stage, I started using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster at 1ml/L each. Here’s why I chose these products for early growth: • Aptus Regulator (1ml/L): Helps strengthen the plants against environmental stresses by supporting cell wall structure. It’s a fantastic choice for giving young seedlings an early boost in resilience. • Aptus Startbooster (1ml/L): This product provides essential microbes and nutrients that stimulate root growth and early plant vigor. Especially for regular seeds, the early root development makes a noticeable difference in later growth stages. Step 3: Lighting with Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD šŸ’” For lighting, I’m using a Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED. For the germination stage, I’ve dimmed it to around 200 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density), which provides just enough light for healthy, strong seedling growth without overwhelming them. • Why Low Intensity? • 200 PPFD ensures that young plants aren’t exposed to too much light, which could cause stress or stunting. This level of intensity is perfect for encouraging healthy development without risking ā€œstretching.ā€ • The FOG LED provides a balanced spectrum tailored to plant growth, setting up these young sprouts for success as they grow. Step 4: Environmental Control with TrolMaster Tent X Controller šŸ“² For monitoring and control, I’m using the TrolMaster Tent X Controller, which lets me dial in every aspect of the environment to make sure these little ones have the perfect conditions for germination and early growth. • TrolMaster Benefits: • Precision Control: Adjust temperature, humidity, and lighting all in one place. • Notifications: Sends updates in real-time to my device, so I can make adjustments as needed without being physically present. • Consistency: Maintains stable conditions around the clock, reducing stress on seedlings and ensuring they’re thriving. Grow Tips & Reflections: Germination is one of the most crucial stages in a plant’s lifecycle. Starting with strong genetics like Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco, combined with a solid germination setup and the right nutrients, creates the foundation for a successful grow. šŸ’” Quick Tips for Fellow Growers: • Hydration Balance: Don’t oversaturate! Moisture levels should be high enough for the seeds to sprout but not so wet that they drown. • Light Management: A low PPFD for young seedlings prevents stretch and keeps nodes tight, preparing them for a healthy vegetative phase. • Environment Consistency: Use a reliable controller like the TrolMaster Tent X to manage your settings, and consider monitoring tools for real-time adjustments. Shout Outs to the Community: Big thanks to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED lights, and TrolMaster for the amazing controller. Also, shout out to all of you in the growing community—you make this journey exciting and filled with endless learning. Let’s keep growing and sharing together! That’s it for the germination update! Next up, I’ll be monitoring growth closely to identify strong females (and maybe a standout male for breeding). She looks ready enough to be flushed for a week. I'll just be using dechlorinated tap water from now on. Can't wait to smoke her! I remember her flavour to be really fruity and soury.

(11/25-12/01) Hope everyone enjoys the daily progressions of overhead and side profile (Organized Chaos) Unfortunately they have too much of a toll for me to keep up with with 3 sets of grows going now, so this was the last week I am doing them on this set. I will try to add a video and black back or cover pics by end of week every week. Week 3 Notes & Observations: As mentioned last week, Plant 1 remains the supreme plant now and is producing nice stretch in the node spacing but is still showing a different type of leaf shape than plant 2. No issues from the mainline topping and they seem to be going okay. I will be topping again this weekend for the second of 3 total topping sessions. This topping will be 2 tops off the ends of the last and will produce 4 main colas. **OOPS** was being a little too aggressive in my HST while trying to set the mainline on both plants today. P1 was just a little rip of the skin, I taped her up and suspect she will be fine. However, on P2, I nearly snapped the whole branch off. I taped it and crossed my fingers hoping it works out in a week or two, but have serious doubts it will be able to mend such a large break. We'll see because I am posting ALL of the grow, the good and the bad. VPD and PPFD: This week I will hold the humidity in the tent to about 70-75% and temps will be monitored for 70- 75F daytime and 66-71F overnight. Im not adjusting my lights and look to control them 350ppfd max. Meaning slight increase over last week but mostly just growth increase. Feed & Monitor: ***All feeds with nutes use either a whole ratio or combination of "Veg Mix" and "Bloom Mix"concentrates DILUTED in water until a total ppm of add-in is reached using a (Total Dissolved Solids) TDS Meter measured in PPM (parts per million). The "Veg Mix" concentrate will eventually be added in smaller ratios and "Bloom Mix" concentrate will eventually replace the "Veg Mix" concentrate entirely. The ppm and ratios of each feed will be listed when I feed. Veg mix recipe is on week 2. Bloom Mix recipe will be noted in this top message of the week that I make it.*** Day 28 (last feed was day 22) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Starting weight from each pot was 18 lbs and 8 oz, P1 weighed 15lbs 12oz and P2 was 15lbs 4oz before feed. Each plant got 1 gallon of de-chlorinated tap water with 300ppm Veg Mix concentrate added (recipe on week 2 and makes 1 gallon at about 3600 to 4000ppm concentrate to dilute each feed, i.e. I only fed 300ppm above the purified water ppm this feed) The ph on this feed was balanced to 6.0ph to combat the original higher runoff ph from the first runoff feed. After feed P1 weighed 22lbs 3oz (21lbs 2oz after last feed) and P2 weighed 21lbs 14oz (20lbs 14oz after last feed). I got about 5cups of runoff on P1 (9 cups last feed) and 5 cups on P2 (7 cups last feed) . Runoff for P1 ph was 6.45 with 1170ppm (6.45ph with 980ppm last feed) and P2 was 6.45 with 1230ppm (6.45 with 1130ppm last feed). Top soil tested at: P1 6.35,6.3,6.33,6.33 for an avg of 6.327 (6.497 avg after last feed) and P2 tested at 6.47,6.37,6.26,6.51 avg 6.402 (6.46avg after last feed) - next feed will be 6.3ph as Im liking where the ph is so I dont see any issues, but will continue to monitor this way. Day 34 (last feed was day 28) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. 1st Starting weight from each pot was 18 lbs and 8 oz. Before feeding this time, P1 weighed 14lbs 14oz (15lbs 12oz before last feed) and P2 was 14lbs 7oz before feeding (15lbs 4oz before last feed). Each plant got 1.5 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water with 98ppm Veg Mix concentrate added to flush any salt builds in the soil (recipe on week 2 and makes 1 gallon at about 3600 to 4000ppm concentrate to dilute in each feed, i.e. I only fed 98ppm above the de-chlorinated tap water ppm this feed) Due to this soil showing a possible calcium deficit, I am starting a 1ml per gallon add-in to test on all plants using this soil, so I added 1.5ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) to each plant's feed then I ph balanced before feeding. The ph on this feed was balanced to 6.3ph. I used knitting needles to help both aerate the soil and create new water pathways for the roots. (a practice I may consider a new feeding standard) After feed, P1 weighed 21lbs 9oz (22lbs 3oz after last feed) and P2 weighed 21lbs 7oz (20lbs 14oz after last feed). I got about 11cups of runoff on P1 (5 cups last feed) and 11 cups on P2 (5 cups last feed). Higher runoff volume was expected with the feed volume increase for flush this round. Runoff for P1 ph was 6.65 with 838ppm (6.45 with 1170ppm last feed) and P2 was 6.60 with 879ppm (6.45 with 1230ppm last feed). Top soil tested at: P1 6.58,6.57,6.58,6.67 for an avg of 6.600 (6.327 avg after last feed) and P2 tested at 6.47,6.61,6.64,6.64 to avg 6.590 (6.402 avg after last feed) - next feed will be 6.0ph as I'm still liking where the ph is, but rather see it closer to 6.3 or 6.4 top and bottom. I dont see any issues with the feed's data other than the possible calcium deficit and I will continue to monitor runoff ppms as I expected this to be higher with more runoff. Hope everyone enjoys the daily progressions of overhead and side profile (Organized Chaos) Unfortunately they have too much of a toll for me to keep up with with 3 sets of grows going now, so this was the last week I am doing them on this set. I will try to add a video and black back or cover pics by end of week every week.
